  Hi all

  I just finished a CUCM migration / MCS 8.0.3 upgrade to UCS 10.5.1 using PCD. I will now upgrade my 9.1.2 Server stand-alone connection of the unit to the 10.5.1 version tomorrow night. My question is about licensing. When I upgraded version 9.1.2 connection unit I decided to re co ELM since my CUCM cluster was still on version 8.0. Now that I have improved my CUCM cluster, I have two license servers - PLM for Call Manager and ELM for the connection of the unit. I was advised to move the licenses of connection of the unit to PLM, but I don't know how to do it. I have already contacted Cisco licenses and they tell me that everything is ready to go, but they have not told me HOW to do it (I know they are probably deluged with requests).

  Can someone point me to a link or describe briefly the process please?

• understand the ELM with the cluster of CUCM 10.5.2

  Hi all

  I have 2 Server CUCM (Published + subscribers) on different BE6K 2.  With each installed CUCM there is a (non-self) ELM.   ELM published CUCM server is active and I can load licenses and all is well.  For the ELM server with subscriber he declares to be in demo mode.

  I read somewhere that we can have only one ELM server per cluster.  Is this correct?  Is there a possibility of ELM cluster?

  What happern for licenses if the first server is done and ELM + CUCM PUB are down?

  I suppose any document/URL that explain all this.

  With CUCM 10.5 ELM has actually changed PLM (first License Manager). PLM is unable to operate as a cluster. The info is attached below taken from the Guide of SRND Collab;

  Redundancy

  First LM is deployed as a non redundant application. In the case where the application of the first LM become unavailable (for example, if the first LM VM problems of operating system and it will not start), the customer has 60 days to restore the first LM application prior to the application of the licence. Applications run for a period of 60 days without communication with the first LM.

  For the restoration of demand for premium LM, another application installed first LM (such as an instance resident Co) can be created by add the product inventory to the new application of first LM. Since the MAC address of the virtual machine running the new PLM application would be different, the transfer of the registration of the license to this new first LM file would be necessary. Otherwise, first LM can be restored from a backup recovery system (DRS) disaster. In this case, configure the MAC address on the first LM new and original VMS, otherwise the recording of license should be transferred to the new virtual machine. If license additions or changes have been made since the backup of the DRS, a new license file must be requested. A resident first co LM backup can be restored only to a request first LM resident, and a standalone backup can be restored only on a standalone first LM.

  Overalls note in the Readme at edelivry for this model, there is a url that might help, http://www.oracle.com/technology/products/vm/templates/peoplesoft.html but it does not no matter what contains on Peoplesoft or models, it is redirected to http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/indexes/products/index.html which is rather general while I expect a thorough documentation.

  Hi Nick,

  Based on networking files, it looks that the virtual machine is already configured to run using 'dhcp '. It is certainly a problem and should be fixed. In the meantime, here is the workaround. Since the solution is applied to the model, to do only once.

  1 putty/SSH into the server OVS where the model has been imported.
  2 Goto/OVS/seed_pool /.
  3 mkdir os
  4 lomount - diskimage System.img - partition 2 os
  5 cd os/opt/oracle/TFTP/vm
  6 vi oraclevm - template.sh
  7 377 Goto line number
  8. change the line "if ["$IP_ADDR"==" "] & ["$DEBUG_PSFT_OVM'! " = "TRUE"]; then ' ' if ['$DEBUG_PSFT_OVM'! = 'TRUE']; then '
  8. save the file
  9 cd... /... /.. /.. /..
  10 umount os
  11 rmdir os

  After the workaround, instantiate a new virtual machine from this model changed, and restart. Before any questions are asked, it must invite to network related issues.

  For the new virtual machine that you recreated (IP address: 192.168.1.211), you mentioned that you gave VP1 for base data & password user. Should not prompted for these values if you had answered 'y' to "You want to configure the virtual machine for demonstration purposes [y/n]" as well as "you want to configure an Application Decoupled House [y/n]". Can you confirm that you answered "y" to these two questions?

  For your convenience, here is the sequence

  1 apply the workaround on the template.
  2. instantiate a new virtual machine.
  3. it starts.
  4 answer networking questions.
  5 question the answer 'y' to 'you want to configure the virtual machine for demonstration purposes [y/n] ".
  6 question the answer 'y' to 'you want to configure an Application Decoupled House [y/n] ".
  7. the answer 'y' to the question 'You want to configure the PeopleSoft Application Server on this machine virtual y'and it prompts you to insert the following text

  1. Enter the name of the database
  2. Enter the host name of the database server
  3. Enter the port number for the host of the database
  4. are you satisfied with your answers

  It should not encourage the following

  1. Enter the user name for the database server
  2. Enter the password for the database server

  Let me know if you see the same sequence during the startup.

  When I right click on an element of demo (music video in this case) that is for the download I get no option to download. He used to give me a until it had to update Firefox (because of me inadvertently allowing another site change the settings and configuration I used).   To exit safe mode of Firefox, simply close Firefox and wait a few seconds before you open Firefox for normal use again.

  I'm about to update our Cisco workload to 6.2.3 SP3 automation software.  I test in a Windows Server 2008 R2 / Sandbox of SQL environment.

  What I've done so far:

  1A licensed by demonstration
  2. in the configuration of the VM Windows Sandbox
  3 copied the Admiral and YOUR Cache DB of our Non-PROD environment in the sandbox
  4 installed the production version of YOUR Windows VM Sandbox Server 6.0.3
  5 cleared the CACHE YOUR database
  6a started the master on the sandbox

  Results: The master starts then stops after about 30 seconds with the following error in the log file: "this master: is not allowed to run as a standalone master on this machine: .»

  Note: The server A is our Non-Prod server we use to before deployment.  Sandbox SERVER is VM environment for YOUR testing.

  I can't find out where its getting data from the server of Non-Prod.  I've already updated the nodmst_name and the nodmst_alias on the dbo.nodmst table to reflect the current sandbox server.  What other area is the master to get the server information from?

  See your table in the sysval,

  To clear the existing license of your Non-Prod environment

  REMOVE THE sysval WHERE sysval_id in ('29 ', ' 30')

  UPDATE nodmst SET nodmst_license = ' ' -erase this and when you apply the demo license this will fill

  To enable fault tolerance out of the running the SQL below on your Non-PROD database,

  UPDATE set sysval_string = sysval ' not where sysval_id = 21

  And finally, check the nodmst_alias and the nodmst_name for SERVER SANDBOX

  I have a client who is the movement of data centers, and they are required to change the IP address of the stand-alone Server 9.1 ELM.

  2 questions:

  (1) what is the procedure to change the IP address of a stand-alone server ELM 9.1?  The procedure of CUCM 9.1?  I can't find a specific ELM document/procedure.

  (2) the ELM server IP address change will require the re-hosting of licenses?
