Demographics of Blackberry model?

Where can I get information that shows how much of each Blackberry model is currently operating?

I'm trying to decide how many models (and which versions of Blackberry OS) I need to go out to maximize the number of potential customers.  I don't want to waste time developing for Blackberry models who don't not users instances of exploitation.

At the other end of the spectrum, I noticed that "Abyss" recently won the contest "apply your ideas" from Verizon.  While my hat is off for the guys from Mobigloo for their performance, their game only works on the Storm 95xx models.  This seems to leave many users of Blackberry out in the cold.

Yes, demographics, please?

Welcome and good luck with your development.

  • Is it possible to load the specific libraries about the version of BlackBerry model (NOT the software)?

    Hello world

I know it's possible to load specific libraries about the version of the BlackBerry host software (using files .alx and .jad files), but it is also possible to do the same thing about the version of BlackBerry model?

I know you can find something with download OTA by designing a specific download servlet that will check the version of the device model (using the HTTP for ie user agent) but how could you do the same thing with the files .alx file? Is it still possible?

In regards to as you can only check the device software version, but you can't do it with the version of the device model... Is there a workaround here?

    Thanks in advance.

Sorry for the inconvenience, I recalled an old article that I came across a couple of months:

  • Screenshots for different Blackberry models of application

I know that AppWorld Portal is still in development but is there any examination which allows us to download separate screen shots separate packages (packages into files of different cod for different versions of blackberry)?

For example, one of my games is now supported on all the BlackBerry AppWorld supporting and normally uses real keys to control the main character on the screen.  For the STORM, since there is no real key, I created a virtual joystick comprised of up/down/left/right controls the player needs support to move the character.

I want to use this form for the Blackberry Storm package, but at the same time, I don't want to confuse customers who are downloading to the "BOLD", PEARL, CURVE, etc. because they will not have this virtual joystick.

    Thank you

    # The whole concept behind a bundle is that all marketing information (description, screenshots, etc.) is the same, because it represents a version to the user.

That said, if there was enough significant differences between two beams of your application, you are more than welcome to create two applications for this application with a single description, unique screenshots, etc. and by marking the bundle as only available for this specific device or the line of code.

  • Model of blackBerry Smartphones not in the list of d/l for GB upgrade sheets

I upgraded to OS 4.5 and got the software Datavis.  I went on the site of Datavis to get the upgrade that includes sheets to Go.  Their Web site has a drop-down list to choose the Blackberry models.  There is no registration for 8703e.  There are lists for several models of 8700 (8700f, g and v) but no 8703e.  One of the d/l 8700 will work?

Try to leave the DataViz itself software find the update. On your BB, open a ToGo applications. Press the BBKey and select "Check for Updates". Who will launch your BB browser and direct you to the appropriate update.

  • Demand for services mobile banking blackBerry App HDFC

    Dear team,

I recently bought Q10 of Blackberry which is a great mobile. I really liked that, previously, I was using iPhone4S and where I can install most of the demand for mobile banking. I have an account with HDFC Bank and even the application is there in the world of Blackberry...

When I did a scan of barcode, it shows this application not available for your device. I found that this application is available for most of the older Blackberry models. If you guys can make this request to be grown and used in the new Blackberry models that would be really fantastic. I would ask that your team to push this applications for customers to be more happy necessary. We are willing to pay for applications since its very important for our needs.

Please check and let me know when its available.

    Thank you best regards &,.

    Hello

    Please recognize a few things...

First of all, "you guys" would mean, I think your post BB people... this site is a community of users, not a user-to/from-BB of communication channel. Reference:

Second, BB is not (and never has) apps 'pull' of the community of developers (except for a few very small). Instead, each developer chooses the devices and OS levels that they support, then writes their application accordingly and he pushes through different distribution channels. Therefore, the desire for support for a specific device model and the level of the BONE would be better expressed for the developer of the app directly.

Third, I'm guessing that you only watched until BBWorld for this app? Remember BB10 opened the world of Android apps, but there are often use other portals to get (once again, developers, no BB, choose the portals to distribute their application). There's the Amazon App Store normally already registered on the device. It has SNAP, a very nice add to the device store. And there are others. I looked at GLANCE and see the app you want is there... If it will actually work or not is another question, I can't test it for you.

Good luck and let us know!

  • Use of data blackBerry on Z10 Z10

The use of my data is 2 to 3 times higher than with my Z10 he was with my previous Blackberry models.  I've been told 10 series of Blackberry phones compress not given, and my use is higher than before.  Do you know if it is accurate.

With the Z10 there no compression of data more like before with the older BlackBerrys. Basically, BlackBerry exchanged compression for speed.

  • BlackBerry Smartphones phone lights after battery died

Yesterday my completely dead phone, causing my phone turn off.  I got it for about 8 hours to charge, and I get nothing.  The red light for 15 seconds about, then off and then back on...

    Any suggestions?

You see on the screen a battery with a slash (/) symbol through it?

Leave the appliance to charge 2-3 hours and then, always toujours relie connected to the USB cable, remove the battery from the camera a few seconds and plug it back. If it starts - let - the charges to 100% (check the Options > status for the percentage). If it is not restart on the first attempt, leave several hours. I had a charge for two days before, she came back to life after extreme exhaustion of the battery. Every 3-4 hours with the device plugged into the charger, you can remove and replace the battery to see if it restarts.

Otherwise, no dead battery symbol... If your BlackBerry is still under tension turned off with a black screen, follow the instructions below. The only indication of life may be the flashing red indicator light in the upper corner. Nothing seems to wake and Desktop Manager does not recognize that a device is connected.

    (1) make sure that you have Blackberry Desktop Manager installed.
    http://NA.BlackBerry.com/eng/services/desktop/
    (2) on your PC, go to start > run and copy and paste the following line exactly (i.e. with quotation marks):

    'c:\program files\common research in motion\apploader\loader.exe' /nojvm

    (3) the Application Loader Wizard will appear - click on "next".
    (4) in the ' connection: ' drop-down menu, you should see "USB - PIN: UNKNOWN". Click on the button "next".
    (5) you should see a list of applications ready to be installed for your Blackberry. Press Next and finish, and that you are well on your way to get your Blackberry to life. Congratulations! Just unplug and let the process finish completely.

NOTE: If you do not display the list of applications mentioned in step 5 and instead to see the message "the Blackberry Desktop Software has no Blackberry Device Software for the device you have connected to the computer. Contact your wireless service provider or system administrator', then you must download the Blackberry operating system for your support and your device.
    http://www.BlackBerryFAQ.com/index.php/BlackBerry_Operating_System_Downloads
Just select the appropriate type of carrier and network, select your Blackberry model from the list and download the latest version. Install this download and follow the steps above again and you should be on the right track.

  • QT 5.0.2 models of bb10 qt creator missing 2.7 on osx?

Hey, I try to find the patterns for the development of qt bb10 on QT creator 2.7 on OSX but they simply do not exist in the models of requests. I think that any development of qt 5 and or 4.8 is moved to the q?
or is this a bug existing before because I can't seem to get even the qt creator to recognize installation ndk.

    When

By following the instructions here, I found that the QT Creator lacked on installing blackberry models.
Next setup for the for Qt Creator find the ndk, I find that everything is filled except
the box of compilers and the box of qmake.

Anyone facing this problem with Qt Creator?

    http://Qt-project.org/wiki/Qt-creator-with-BlackBerry-10

I use QT Creator because I also develop an app for android and blackberry 10 and I don't want to use
Cascades, simply because qt and waterfalls are mutually exclusive development cross-platform apps.

    Hello

I use Qt Creator 2.7 RC on OS X for development of Cascades. I was also able to compile Qt Cascades non - examples and download them on the device. There are three models:

    Waterfalls of blackBerry application

    Qt GUI application BlackBerry

Application graphic interface Qt 5 blackBerry

    They are located in:

    / Applications/Qt Creator.app/Contents/Resources/templates/wizards

    BB-cascades-app

    BB-guiapp

    BB-qt5-guiapp

It is actively developed during the last semester, so very little probable that they were dropped. But I do not find how to switch to the latest version of the SDK Cascades (it only detects the old version), have not studied it yet. Could try you it with SDK Gold? Perhaps that the models are not appearing as NDK is not properly configured.

    My settings:

    Build & run-> Kits:

    Name: Blackberry 10

    Type of device: BlackBerry device

    Feature: BB10 Dev Alpha

    Sysroot: / Applications/bbndk/target_10_0_9_1673/qnx6

    Compiler: GCC 10 BlackBerry

    Debugger: / Applications/bbndk/host_10_0_9_404/darwin / x 86/usr/bin/ntoarm-gdb

    Versions of Qt

The version name: Qt BlackBerry 10

    qmake location: / Applications/bbndk/host_10_0_9_404/darwin / x 86/usr/bin/qmake

    BlackBerry native SDK: / Application/bbndk

    Compilers

    Name: CCG BlackBerry 10

    The compiler path: / Applications/bbndk/host_10_0_9_404/darwin / x 86/usr/bin/qcc

    ABI: arm - linux - generic - elf - 32-bit

I don't know if I put these settings manually. They had to be set manually in Qt Creator 2.6, but wiki page doesn't describe it more.

UPD: I've now updated to the last Qt Creator 2.7 and the models are still displayed.

  • BlackBerry Curve 8520 smartphones stuck on a 'white screen of death '.

    Hello world

I have a Blackberry Curve 8520. Yesterday, he got stuck on a white screen, with a little black clock in the middle (the kind you see when you're waiting for a page to load in the browser).

Even if I turn off my phone, take the battery or put it on charge, this "white screen of death" I read he is described by other people online, won't go away!

If anyone can help, I would really appreciate it. Thank you.

    Ok.

  • BlackBerry OS target!

I have spend some time searching info on what is the population of OS, choose a software development kit I found many times this http://us.blackberry.com/developers/choosingtargetos.jsp but is dead, also found this link http://stackoverflow.com/questions/1868567/what-market-share-do-each-of-the-blackberry-models-have but has since 2011.

I can't find an update of information including OS BB 7 and 7.1

strange, I used the website, a week or two ago!

with OS 5, you're on the good side, it covers about 95% iirc and close to 100% of sales (are there the older BBs, but users not used to purchase apps).

I would consider a base line higher if you really want to use a new feature.
