  Just one last point. For WLP 9.x and 10.x, this is NOT necessary. 9.x and 10.x, to be the opposite. Do NOT target no matter what Server Admin apps portals but only targets to the Cluster. Because that by default for 9.x and 10.x, when you create a cluster, all shared modules are targeted only to the cluster. Therefore, we target portals apps also only for the cluster. JUST in case for some reason you wish to target portal app server also Admin, FIRST you must target all modules common to the administrator of the server, and then deploy your Portal Server admin application also. Remember that it is only for 9.x and 10.x. So incase if you have plans to improve in the future to 9.x or 10.x, please add this note somewhere in your design document or spec.

  For 8.1 SPxx, as mentioned earlier, please target both Admin and complete Cluster.

  Hi, I'm following oracle patch 9492821 for OBIEE 10-1-3-4-1. The last step of this patch asks me to transfer my WAR OBIEE file.
  
  However I use BI Apps 7.9.6.1 (formerly product Siebel Analytics) with OBIEE 10-1-3-4. My application server is OC4J which comes with BI applications / OBIEE
  
  I checked in Admin OC4J and the deployed application analytical points actually to $OBIEE_HOME/oc4j_bi/j2ee/home/applications/analytics.ear and not the $OBIEE_HOME/web/analytics.war mentioned in patch 9492821 (although this WAR and its subdirectory are also exists on my system)
  
  So in summary, I think I need to make the file changes recommended by the patch for files in the directory OBIEE_HOME/oc4j_bi/j2ee/home/applications/analytical $ and not the $OBIEE_HOME/web/analytics/app directory specified in patch 9492821
  
  Then, I think I need to run the command
  
  CD $OBIEE_HOME/oc4j_bi/j2ee/home/applications page
  jar - cf analytical analytics.ear - C.
  
  This will recreate the analytics.ear file that is picked up when I'm bouncing OC4J.
  
  However to test this process, I thought I'd turn the jar command above before making any changes to the underlying analytical repertoire just to see if the jar command creates the file ok ear.
  
  He has created the ear file, ok, but to my surpirse the new EAR file is almost twice the size of the daughter of original ear bundled with applications of BI / OBIEE which replaces the jar command

  Like I said it was the only logical explanation.

  Take a look at the ear and war using WinZip files, and you will see the difference. An ear file compresses a war with a file application.xml file. Aside from that, they are basically the same. Oracle includes both because the various Web App servers tend to require either of those for deployment, even though some support both.

But the application is not fully deployed and functional for a while. Just wait 20 minutes to 2 hours, the deployment is worked with success and everything go smooth.
  
  I have no idea on what log file to track the deployment during deploy the .ear from the Enterprise Manager console. Could someone give me some suggestions?

  I can't download my application, cause I always get the error: 'invalid file size analysis returned Icon-29@2x-png '.

  I tried different file names: 'startscreen 29x29.png "; '29x29.png '; "29.png.

  I tried different png files: 24-bit-png; 8-bit-png; I have create a clean png file in photoshop (except for the web). With the many png parameters.

  Now when I try to create a deployment profile, creating the EAR is grayed out.
  
  When I right click on the ViewController project and select deploy the two options that come up are - deploy to AppServer and deploy to WAR
  but no EAR.
  
  What I am doing wrong? I thought all ADF apps would be deployed as the ear. Is this correct?
  
  Setting controls this and how do I define Jdev to deploy the ear?

  Hello.

  You can deploy an application of JDeveloper as an ear. This does not work for different projects. You can create a profile of EAR deployment although the properties of the Application.

  If you save your shared library of the EAR in the preferences under WebLogic-> shared libraries then refer to this library in an application, EPCO will deploy the shared library when the listing application is deployed.

  Hello again,

  I have to mention that as a workaround, you can use the import JSR168 tool because there are to WLP 10.3 and do generate but not to deploy the EAR file for you. On the inside of the EAR, you should find a directory of the same name as your original file of WAR with a WEB - INF / subdirectory. You should be able to copy all the files of configuration generated out of this WEB-INF/lib /. Return to the root of the ear (which has a subdirectory of the same name as your original file of the WAR), expand your original file WAR it so that it replaces the WAR directory, then copy the configuration files that you have stored offshore in the WEB - INF directory. Finally, jar to the top of the EAR file again and it should be ready to deploy.

  Once JDev compiled the Bpm process without error and create the ProjectName.jpr., I tried to deployed the process on the server of soa, soa_infra partition.

  What I did:

  1. go on JDeveloper | The application browser.

  2. Select and right click on the project of BPM.

  3. the SCW deployment Action started

  4 fill in the fields and click OK

  Suitcase BPMN deployment by mistake. java.lang.NullPointerException.

  This could be a variety of reasons:

  (1) my problem was solved when I checked the fabricruntime.jar for jdeveloper middleware House \jdeveloper\soa\modules\oracle.soa.fabric_11.1.1

  and SOA home Oracle_SOA1\soa\modules\oracle.soa.fabric_11.1.1 was different. So I copy the fabricruntime.jar of soa on jdev House home and redeploy the composite and it works.

  My conclusions at that time was namespace error.

  (2) you can also apply the below patch

  Patch 14618452: NPE IS THROWN everything BY DEPLOYING a PROCESS WITH SEVERAL SUB-PROCESS/WRESTLING EVENTS

  and then test the deployment.

  (3) in other words, you can try this:

  Stop, soa_server (s), node_manager(if running), Server Admin

  Delete the cache files and for Admin Server and server SOA tmp files in $ORACLE_HOME/user_projects/domains/base_domain/servers/AdminServer/cache and $ORACLE_HOME/user_projects/domains/base_domain/servers/AdminServer/tmp

  Same BOF Soa Server $ORACLE_HOME/user_projects/domains/base_domain/servers/Soa_server/cache

  After that, restart the server

  Redeploy the composite applications again since the file via the EM, or JDeveloper .jar or WLST script.

  I created a sample application web ADF and activated the ADF security. I created the ear of the application using the deployment jdevloper profile. Incase if I deploy the ear to weblogic through the weblogic console management server, the application works very well. (in this step security policies are automatically deployed in the field. However, incase if I deploy only for Server Manager, then the application does not work. in this case, when I invoke the url the browser runs all the time and refreshing but not the loaded page. If I check the policies then the they aren't there.
  
  I have to manually migrate the jazn policies before you deploy on the Management Server? Is there a way that can be done automatically when deploy us the ear on the server of management through the weblogic console.

  For this according to the MOS doc: error during deployment formsapp.ear file in an Instance of Apps R12 (Doc ID 1074765.1), updated the opmn.xml not record as no chance.

  Manually deploying display above error message.

  Here in the opmn.xml file we gave realhost.domain.com and virtualhost.domain.com both are same host name. Please advise us if this is not correct.

  You get the EAR deployment descriptor only if you add it to the application level. They are out on grayes model ot see controller projects.
  Right-click on the Application and select "new-> deployment descriptor.

  I installed the ATG 10.0.3 platform and the store of the ATG reference (http://localhost: 8080/crs/storeus) on Oracle Linux 5.8 long with Oracle 11.2.0.1 database, Oracle's JDK and JBoss Enterprise Platform 5.1.0 1.6.0_30 all in the same box.
