Deploy the mapping of sql loader

Hello
I have a problem with OWB when I try to start a mapping (sql loader) after deployment. The problem is that when I start the execution of the mapping, sql loader control file is created not under Unix (where I set the location of the file entry and control file), but in the pc with my client OWB. For this reason execution fails because it can't find the input file (that I put in the unix machine).
Is there a configuration for the client or the server?

Thank you

    Hello

    There is only one version of the software. Whether or not you must license depends on the features you use.

    Generates code in the mapping Editor by using the button "generate".
    In the build results window, select style generation = operating mode and middle = 'Set [PL/SQL] founded.
    Now you must select a group entry or exit of some operator in your mapping.

    The build results window then displays a SQL statement that represents the data that would go in the group you selected.
    Run the SQL directly in your target schema (using sql * plus, sql developer, etc.).
    If the SQL code cannot be run, the problem is in this particular part of the mapping.
    You can try to locate further.

    Good luck
    Carsten.

    Well, either you put the file on the server and execute sql * loader from the server OR you place the file on your local client and run sql * server of your local client (assuming you have locally installed Oracle client software).

  • ORA-00923 deployment of mapping

    Hi all

    I have a project that contains a match with an expression. This expression uses a function that declares a cursor to extract the values of an intermediate table, as follows:

    -initialize variable here

    NUMBER OF P_MSISDN;
    V_ROW MAP_PSEUDO_NUMBERS_STG % ROWTYPE;

    CURSOR C_MAP_PSEUDO_NUMBERS IS
    SELECT * FROM MAP_PSEUDO_NUMBERS_STG;

    -main body
    BEGIN
    OPEN C_MAP_PSEUDO_NUMBERS.
    IF C_MAP_PSEUDO_NUMBERS % ISOPEN THEN
    LOOP
    EXTRACT THE C_MAP_PSEUDO_NUMBERS IN V_ROW;
    WHEN THE OUTPUT C_MAP_PSEUDO_NUMBERS % NOTFOUND;
    IF (INSTR (TO_CHAR (P_MSISDN), V_ROW. PSEUDO_NUMBER_ID) = 1) THEN
    RETURN 4; -Number of nickname
    END IF;
    END LOOP;
    RETURNS A NULL VALUE.
    END IF;

    EXCEPTION
    WHILE OTHERS THEN
    NULL; -Enter any code exception here
    RETURNS A NULL VALUE.
    END;

    The mapping expression operator uses this function as follows:

    IF 'PK_PRJ_LOAD '. «LOAD_ALL_PSEUDO_NUMBERS «(INGRP1.» MSISDN) <>NULL THEN
    'PK_PRJ_LOAD '. «LOAD_ALL_PSEUDO_NUMBERS «(INGRP1.» MSISDN)
    ON THE OTHER
    CASE
    WHEN (INGRP1. PAYMENTTYPE IS NULL) THEN 0 - unknown
    WHEN (INGRP1. PAYMENTTYPE = 'C') THEN 1 - postpaid
    WHEN (INGRP1. PAYMENTTYPE = 'P') THEN 2 - prepaid
    WHEN (INGRP1. PAYMENTTYPE = 'H') THEN 3 - hybrid
    OTHERWISE 0 - Unknown
    END

    Where 'PK_PRJ_LOAD '. «LOAD_ALL_PSEUDO_NUMBERS «(INGRP1.» MSISDN) is the above mentioned function.

    The sql query is very good, and when I run the script in SQL developer, it works ok. However, when I try to deploy the mapping that uses the function, I get this error:

    PL/SQL: ORA-00923: KEYWORD not found where expected

    I wonder if I can use the sliders in OWB functions, or elsewhere, where is the problem. Any ideas?

    Thanks in advance
    G.

    I think the problem is with
    This part

    IF "PK_PRJ_LOAD"."LOAD_ALL_PSEUDO_NUMBERS"(INGRP1.MSISDN) NULL THEN
    "PK_PRJ_LOAD"."LOAD_ALL_PSEUDO_NUMBERS"(INGRP1.MSISDN)
    ELSE
    CASE
    WHEN (INGRP1.PAYMENTTYPE IS NULL) THEN 0 -- Unknown
    WHEN (INGRP1.PAYMENTTYPE='C') THEN 1 -- Postpaid
    WHEN (INGRP1.PAYMENTTYPE='P') THEN 2 -- Prepaid
    WHEN (INGRP1.PAYMENTTYPE='H') THEN 3 -- Hybrid
    ELSE 0 -- Unknown
    END

    instead of 'if' (I never tried 'if' in the expression) try using the avd CASE first try with a simple... as

    Case when "PK_PRJ_LOAD"."LOAD_ALL_PSEUDO_NUMBERS"(INGRP1.MSISDN) IS NULL THEN
    1
    else  2
    end

    and check if it works...

  • Name of dynamic INFILE SQL loader

    Hi all

    I use oracle 10g on windows server.

    I have a log on a remote server. each line in the log file is as below

    LogIN Mar 02/09/2014 10:10:48 ss18 N419FS40 1

    I create a table for that as below;

    Create table free_pc (log_in varchar2(10),log_day varchar2(10),log_date date,log_time date,log_user varchar2(30),log_Lab varchar2(30),log_pc varchar2(30), log_status char(1));

    I have two problems;

    1 N419FS40, the N419 is the name of a student in the lab, while FS40 is the name of the computer in this laboratory. I want only the first four characters to be inserted into the column of Log_lab and the rest of characters iin Log_pc column. my control file is less than

    DOWNLOAD THE DATA

    INFILE '\\remote_location\login02_09_14.txt '.

    ADD

    IN THE TABLE free_pc

    FIELDS FINISHED WITH A WHITE SPACE

    (log_in,

    log_day,

    log_date DATE "DD/MM/YYYY",

    log_time DATE "HH24 MI SS."

    LOG_USER,

    log_Lab,

    log_PC,

    log_status

    )

    How to do this?

    2. the log file is generated on the server, every day with a different name, he cancatenate the current date with Word LOGIN, for example login02_09_14.txt, login03_09_14.txt and login04_09_14 etc. in my INFILE tag, how can I put the name, so that it automatically take the name of the remote location?

    Thank you.

    Kind regards.

    1. you can use the SUBSTR function to separate the two values.  You put the fields in the control file in the same order in the data file, with all the columns that are formulated from data in other areas at the end.

    2. There are different ways to do this.  The file name can be in the control file or the SQL * Loader command line.  You can create either using SQL/SQL * Plus or operating system commands.  I tend to prefer change just the line of SQL * Loader command line, instead of the entire control file.  I prefer to do this in a SQL file instead of a file breaks Windows or * ix shell script or something, so that it is independent of the operating system.

    In addition, it is best to store all of your day, date and time in a column, then you can use to_char to display it as you want, in a column, or two or three.

    Please see the example below, in which I have shown above.

  • SQL Loader

    Hello

    I need to load the data into the database using sql loader.

    1. is it possible to change the case of text before you load the data into the table. For example. conversion of names to lowercase before inserting into the database.

    2. why or condition is not in the 'when' control file clause? are there any alternatives that I can use to satisfy conditions similar to the place of use or condition?

    Thanks in advance.

    You can use two condition for your condition... As below...

    WHEN column_2 = '01'

    IN TABLE

    WHEN column_2 = '02'

    IN TABLE

    If you have files on server side, you can use the external table to load the conditional data.

    Thank you

    You must add TRAILING NULLCOLS and use EXTERNAL INTEGER instead of an INTEGER and your file_date column must be of type DATE data.  Please see the demo below with some additional corrections.  Note that since there is no year in the data file for the file_date column, which by default is the current year.  If you want to 2014 so you need to concatenate that and add the date format YYYY.

    Hello

    The preferred method is, if you use oracle apps, then a simultaneous recording of type sql * loader
    the ctl yor file in $/bin. Run the program at the same time to load the data.

    I'm just givng you advice, you search on google, that you will get several ways to do the same things.

    There are many ways such as the use of the external table, UTL_FILE or Shell Script to do the same thing.

    Thank you

    You may need to increase the bindsize.

    Read the reference manual SQL Loader for the implications of the enlargement of these values.

  • SQL LOADER vs INSTRUCTION INSERT

    1. What is the difference between Sql loader and insert statement?

    2. that will be more effective and better performance?

    3 Please give an example and explain.

    Please someone share their thoughts...

    Thanks in advance

    When you use sql loader you will use a direct path load i.e. you will be set up above the high tide and you will be bypassing undo on the table and it will insert in the index more efficiently.

    When you use insert / * + append * / select then you will be clooning the sqlloader but only if you do not have integrity constraint or insert triggers into your table.

    SQL Loder will be the direct loading path even if you have triggers and referential intergrity

    You see while sql loader seems to be more effective and not in function of the referential integrity or triggers to use a direct path load

  • SQL Loader control file (.ctl) given in table

    Hello

    I have a table 'region' in my schema called dss.
    SQL > desc region
    R_REGIONKEY
    R_NAME
    R_COMMENT
    I want to LOAD the data into this table of the region in a file called "region.tbl" located at d:\tpch\region.tbl, using a CONTROL file that is also on the the same place is to say d:\tpch\region.ctl.

    Region.tbl file contains few records. Recording of a SAMPLE of region.tbl is as follows:

    * 1 | AMERICA | HS ironic use, same request. s | *

    Region.CTL file contains the following lines to load data using sql loader:

    DOWNLOAD THE DATA
    INFILE'd:\tpch\region.tbl'
    IN THE REGION OF THE TABLE
    FIELDS TERMINATED BY ' |'
    * (R_REGIONKEY, R_NAME, R_COMMENT) *.

    so I go to the command prompt, navigate to the location of the above files and run the command:
    D:\TPCH > sqlldr control = region.ctl dss/dss = userid
    and get the following error:

    SQL * Loader-128: unable to start session
    ORA-01017: name of user and password invalid. connection refused

    I have the same table under the "system" user creation, but I get a different error with this that is:

    SQL * Loader-941: error when the table REGION describe statement
    ORA-04043: object REGION does not exist

    Using Oracle 11 g on my Windows XP.

    I'll appreciate the valuable suggestion.

    Thank you very much.

    Best regards
    Kam

    You can connect with dss/dss? For example, what

    sqlplus dss/dss

    If no, and you are sure that the name of username/password combination is correct, have you checked things like $ORACLE_SID - i.e. it points to the right database?
