Deployment options for businesses who want to use Windows RT as remote terminals

We are considering the purchase of several tablets of RT to serve as remote terminals to desktop PC.

The tablets do not need to run Windows apps, so RT is all we should need., he must have just VPN access and be able to RDP to Windows desktop computers to run applications remotely.
Users would use the tablets of RT to work from home in distance by controlling their desktops to office via VPN or use them in the desk in a conference room, connected to a projector for presentations and probably also of the RDP to their desktop to run applications, because we don't want any applications other than RDP and VPN on the shelves.
Is there a way to deploy locked preconfigured images so they wouldn't need to configure manually whenever we want to wipe and reimage?
RT tablets can be locked to prevent users from logging in with other accounts of users approved to install apps or change settings?
Are there options MDM remotely manage and monitor devices you can for iPads?

  • I want to use Windows Easy Transfer XP to my data, but the software said "computers are old computer."

I want to use Windows Easy Transfer XP to my data, but the software said that "the two computers are old computer", how do I chanage the parameter in the new computer? In addition, two computers are running in Windows XP system, thank you.

Thanks for answer you, it is really useful.

    But I have another question:
Why Windows Easy Transfer is still a Windows XP version?

    Thank you.

Because Windows Easy Transfer is designed to transfer data FROM a Windows XP computer TO Windows 7 (or Vista) computer.

For example, you install Windows Easy Transfer on the computer Windows XP, but the output (if it is stored on external media or transmitted over a network connection or cable Easy Transfer) is used by the Vista or Windows 7 computer.

  • Satellite A200-PSAE6E: I want to use Windows 7 - what drivers should I use?

I have a Toshiba Satellite A200 PSAE6E, and now I want to use Windows 7.
Only, I have a question, if the drivers are supported and what BIOS I need to use

    Hello

Windows 7 is not official on the market. Only the RC (Beta) version is available.
This means that there is no driver specific to the Win 7 OS.

But as you know the Vista is very similar to Win 7 and it is why some drivers (not all) should work and work with Win 7.

Just test and check what can be used and what doesn t work with Win 7

You can't have the Norton and McAfee. XP Antivirus is malware. It is not a genuine anti-virus. It's a scam. You have a lot of work in front of you to remove the malicious software. I suggest that you scan your computer with Malwarebytes. Follow instructions on the link below.

  • updated but who want to get windows 7

I recently updated my windows to vista professional.  problem was that the license has already been used and therefore not legitimate.  the trial period is now over, but I want to move legitimately to windows 7.  It will be possible to upgrade my windows vista business to windows 7 without having to buy a vista business license and then buy another license and software for windows 7?

You can buy a copy of the full license of Windows 7 Professional, and perform an upgrade Installation wthout having to purchase a new license of Vista.

Because you use a copy of the full Windows 7 license, Setup will search not a copy installed Windows with a upgrade for the fact that the Vista Business product key is already in use will not matter.  The fact that you use a full license product key Windows 7 means that the underlying Vista doesn't have to be authentic.

Start the Setup Windows 7 from Vista Desktop Professional rather than from the computer with the dvd and you should be able to perform an upgrade installation.

However, make sure that you run the Windows 7 Upgrade Advisor and use Windows Easy Transfer to save your files and settings before you start.

  • I am a user of windows vista and you want to use windows xp, then I have to do?

I am a user under windows vista license so can I use Windows xp?
    If so, how?
If not what do I have to use windows xp?

You must have a copy of Windows XP, which is no longer made or sold. If you can find one, you can buy it.
Then you have to reformat your computer and install it instead of vista, ensuring that your computer is capable of running, and the manufacturer of the computer has all the necessary drivers.

  • Favorites synchronization of laptop Dell which uses Windows Vista for my HP Envy that uses Windows 8.1

Somehow when I installed my HP Envy, I was able to get the Favorites of my Dell laptop which uses Windows Vista in Favorites on my desire that has Windows 8.1. Now, they are not there and I don't know how to recover. Tried the system restore, but no luck.

    Hello:

If you are referring to the favorite links to Internet Explorer, it's what I do...

Get a USB and navigate to your Vista username account and copy the Favorites folder on the flash drive.

Plug the USB on your new PC W8.1, go in your user name folder and copy the Favorites folder in this window and let it overwrite the existing Favorites folder, as you see here.

After the Vista Favorites folder replaces the empty Favorites W8.1 folder, you should be all set when you open Internet Explorer on your new PC.

She just wants a little more power in editing his photos, which is just a hobby for her, with software that is a notch above the user type level free software out there that allows only click on a filter to change the appearance of the photos.
