  On what update did you get the error code? Check the history of update Windows for the exact number of KB.

  1) click on the Start Menu.
  2) click on all programs.
  (3) when the window opens, click view update history in the upper left corner of the window.

  This gives the full list of recently made updates and also the status of the installation as if the update installed successfully or not.

  If you have not updated, take note of the corresponding article.

  Now visit http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/en/default.aspx , enter the KB article number and download the update of the same.
  More often than otherwise, it should get installed from the download above.

  Just in case you have trouble to install the same, consider resetting your Windows Update components after which the installation from the source folder.

  Click automated Microsoft Fix it to reset the components automatically.

  Three options.

  (1) start from the XP CD, format the HARD drive, create TWO partitions, install XP on the first then the second 7.

  (2) use virtualisatioin if your machine it handles pretty well. Install Virtual PC or VMWare Server and install XP on a virtual disk.

  (3) (easiest if you have Pro 7, Ultimate or Enterprise) download and install XP Mode

  As for your questions.  Can you uninstall AXI in a box and install it on another? Sure.  No problem.

  What happened after installing on both boxes? Once again, sure, as long as you do not both at the same time (license number).

  What about compatibility with my other apps CC?  Shouldn't be too bad, as most of the APIs between Acrobat and the CC apps are separated with the 'link' being via the file type extension calls "MIME", rather than directly to the dll of Acrobat.  But that does not mean that everything will work perfectly.

  Don't forget with AXI back-leveling the PDF library used for creating PDF files in non - CC applications.  Which means that on Windows 10 PDF cannot be as good as it could be.

  Long, short answer.  It will work, but may not be perfect.  Until you are ready (unsupported by Adobe) in this way...

• P2V conversion but who want to leave the physical Box Live

  We have recently installed a VSphere 4 server in our environment for testing purposes. We wanted to go some of our test servers to a VM platform, then we can switch as required. One of the servers that I have is to be a pain with conversion due to a bad network card. What I want to do is take our 'live' server and run the conversion of a VM but change name of computer, IP info, etc but that let the direct physical server. I know that I need a time out for the live system at some point, but I just want to be sure I'm not missing something or VM adds any information that may cause it to fail. Ideas, thoughts or suggestions?

  For Windows 2003 itself, it's name change, but given the need for a back-end system app would make it harder, IMO.

  Unless you P2V'ed that too, ofc...

  I do nothing on ubiquitous, but the idea of an app duplicated in a BONE duplicated hit a back-end server, would be a no-no for me...
