Describe Popup on objects for other schemas

In the version 1.2.0 you can connect to a database using sqldeveloper as a user, and then type an object name with the schema owner to another user, like this: scott.emp then highlight press F4 (I know it's "Shift-F4" now) and get all the details of this object.

Now I can't get it to work for objects belonging to the logged in user. This isn't a permissions problem that I know, that I usually connect as system and still can not operate on objects of the other user.

Sue,

Some problems with the popup describe have been posted before - for example does not work scott.emp but SCOTT.emp, that might be the problem becomes PckAces. Raghu had already a bug to cover this (see 1.5.1 Popup describe bugs and problems)

    Hi all

I have a node Oracle RAC 5 system. It's pretty tough, RAM, cpu, etc. Running on RHEL5 64 bit. I have a block size of 8K.

I have a COTS application that is wanting to pay 128 M for 4K and 16K cache sizes...

I have never before worked with databases of the combination block size... setting of these parameters, are there any impacts or implications on I need to study, especially considering that there are a number of other schemes for many other applications that already use this system of database?

Links for reading and suggestions would be helpful.

I found this: http://docs.oracle.com/cd/B12037_01/server.101/b10755/initparams035.htm but it is hardly useful to know what impact this could have other applications that use the database.

    Thank you in advance,

    .

My understanding is that objects of tablespaces with different block sizes will succeed only if you have already configured the db_cache_size and at least one

DB_nK_CACHE_SIZEinitialization parameter.  As jgarry says there would be performance-related.  Oracle documentation "large cache sizes usually reduces the number of disk reads and writes. However, a large cache can take too much memory and induce memory paging or Exchange"

Suppose I have the following architecture:
    * A schema called APP_SCHEMA (for example), which contains all applications level PL/SQL packages that contain a business application logic
    * A data schema, called DATA_SCHEMA (for example), that contains the schema objects that are referenced by the PL/SQL in APP_SCHEMA

  • JDeveloper do not establish association for HR schema

Hi, I just started learning JDeveloper and Oracle and I'm trying to follow this tutorial:

    http://docs.Oracle.com/CD/E37547_01/tutorials/tut_rich_app/tut_rich_app.html

I got to step 19, and everything was working fine until I tried to run the AppModule. I get not all associations (for example. I do not have EmpDeptFkLink1 )

    All I have is

    AppModule

    -DepartmentsView1

    -EmployeesView1

    -JobsView1

In my view, that ADF should automatically create associations for me based on the foreign keys of the tables, I checked to work properly.

I looked at this thread https://community.oracle.com/thread/2411302

but I don't think it applies to me I chose the HR schema when you move through the wizard.

Can anyone suggest what the problem? I really want to learn this.

Thanks for your reply. I understand that you wanted to say but as I am a total beginner even what is hard for me (tried and did not turn to the right).

After a day scouring the Internet I thought about it so I'll post it here for others (and I'm surprised that nobody publishes this problem, happens by default when you install oracle 12 c!).

Basically, your PDB is RESTRICTED the first time install you it. Trying to grant the user SESSION is RESTRICTED for some reason any does not have full access. Tables appear, but do not have points of view.

To verify if your PDB (remember not CBD) is restricted or not (and make sure that you are logged on as user SYS):

    SQL > show files PDB;

    CON_ID CON_NAME RESTRICTED OPENING MODE

    ---------- ------------------------------ ---------- ----------

2 SEEDS OF $ PDB READ ONLY NO.

    3 PDBTVTS READ WRITE YES

As you can see, mine was. We could think about rating is a simple command that forums will tell you:

    SQL > DISABLE THE ALTER SESSION SYSTEM RESTRICTED;

    DISABLE RESTRICTED SESSION ALTER SYSTEM

    *

    ERROR on line 1:

ORA-65144: ALTER SYSTEM DISABLE RESTRICTED SESSION is not allowed

Took me hours before I realized there's no point to find a way to get this command works. Then I saw that you can start an instance using the RESTRICTED, then why not start up * without * this mode.

To put it simply, stop the instance and start it again.

    SQL > shutdown immediate

    Connectable to closed database.

(don't care which change the order now while the instance is closed.) I tried, still did not haha)

    SQL > startup

    Connectable to open database.

    SQL > show PDB files

    CON_ID CON_NAME RESTRICTED OPENING MODE

    ---------- ------------------------------ ---------- ----------

2 SEEDS OF $ PDB READ ONLY NO.

    PDBTVTS READING ENTRY NO. 3

And now it works! My God, so difficult just start learning with a tutorial. Basically the tutorial currently works perfectly. Auto-created associations.

  • How to choose the object that others will line up to?

Hi I'm attacking with Illustrator, having been familiar with CorelDRAW X 5, and some of the fundamental things in artificial intelligence are just weird!

A common operation is to have a bunch of stuff I want to align, where I spent the time of positioning on the particular object so I want that everything stays aligned him to this object. I can do it in artificial intelligence?

For example, I have two rectangles A and B, separated horizontally with a greater than B. I want that the upper edge of the B to align to the top edge. I select A, then B and align top. It works - B moves upward.

However if I want albums edge to align the top edge of the B, it does not work how I expect. B always moves. It doesn't matter if I choose first or second, B is the one who moves, when A is above B.

It's frustrating when I have a lot of objects that are carefully aligned, and I want to align a new object with them. What often happens is that all of my objects placed move to align with the Unplaced object, so I spend a lot of time.

Y at - it a simple way to choose the object that others in the choice of align on? In CorelDraw, it's the last selected object that determines how many others will be moved.

    Thank you

    Rob

Select all the objects you want to align, and then click again on the object of the selection you want that all the others will match (object key).

the key of the object will appear thicker than others.

  • Reference to the other schema

-How can I refer to the other schema view in the query designer?

    SQLD DM version 3.3.0.734

    Thanks in advance,

    Joop

    Hi Joop,

Create each drawing as a drawing or a relational model in a drawing?

As a relationship in a drawing model.

How can I refer to the other schema view in the query designer

You have a set a display scheme that you create. If the objects used in the view definition belong to another scheme they are included with the schema name in a generated select statement. By default the objects in the same schema (such as the view) are not prefixed with schema name - if you want that the schema name to include, then check the box 'Schema to include in the query name' on the view dialog box.

  • End Insight table list includes other schema Tables (without alias)

I noticed this problem in the last few editions, including the 3.2.09.30 latest version:

If, say, there are User1 who is the owner of a table named TABLE1 and also a USER2 who is the owner of TABLE2 and granted select access on it to User1.

If I have a spreadsheet where I'm logged on as User1 and I type "Select * tab" and then the list of AutoComplete overview will contain 'TABLE1' both 'TABLE2 '. If I select TABLE2, then it fills the declaration as "select * from TABLE2", that won't work because it lacks the reference of the schema. I expect that TABLE1 to appear in these circumstances.

In other words, the list of tables for completion insight contains the name table form other schemas without a prefixed schema reference. It of basically useless and only serves the background image to the top of the list of seizure semi-automatic insight and give you a false idea of the tables/views/synonyms, which are present in the current schema.

(Note: if I type "select * from USER2.tab" then entry list semi-automatic insight correctly contains "user2.) TABLE2', which is the behavior I expect. "USER2. TABLE2"should be there, but never just"TABLE2")

So, is there any configuration option to turn this off, or it's just a bug?

So what is the cause of this?

    ~ vincent.

what grants do you have enabled on the table?

Log in as tran or a dba and try:

    grant select on tran.order to inv;

You can also create a public synonym so you don't have to precede the table with the schema name. Beware of the tables of the same name in your current schema if you do it well.
