Desperately need a updated graphics card for Dell Inspiron N7010

I literally spend days trying to upgrade the GPU on my Dell Inspiron N7010, Windows 7 machine. I made the mistake of download 2012 Movie Maker to replace the 2011 version, which worked perfectly. It gave me an error message, and when I tried to reinstall 2011, the same error came. After much research, I've learned I need and upgrade to a version that is better than my current one, 8.15.10.2104. A comprehensive online search did not produce any fix for me. My question is: Y at - it an upgrade to that driver of 2010, and if so, how can I get?  Thank you.

Dear N7U,

I thank very you much for your help to solve this problem.

I heard about Microsoft today and here's the fix:

  • Update graphics card on Dell Inspiron 580 MT

    Hello

I watch first through similar threads on this site, but I found the newest one was more than a year, so I decided to create a new post

We have a 6 years, Dell Inspiron 580 Mt. just only because of his age, I'm about to put in a new hard drive, & when doing this, I thought to upgrade or replace the dedicated graphics card.

At the present time, there is a NVIDIA GeForce G310 512 MB card in there. The computer is used mainly for businesses, so not forced to play on it. The card manages two monitors, two Dell 2007FP with a resolution of 1600 x 1200. For the moment, we're on DVI, one on VGA, but I would like to make two DVI to 'Future Proof' if we replace with a higher resolution larger screens and more.

What would be a reasonable upgrade graphics card? I would like to find one that would not require an upgrade of the power supply as well.

Processor is an Intel Core i3 Processor 530(2,93GHz,4MB)

8 GB of RAM on board

    Suggestions that much appreciated :-)

    Hi traveler Quentin

Here are a few other graphics cards that are compatible with your system.

    nVidia GT220 1 GB

    nVidia 1 GB M207

AMD Radeon HD 5670 1 GB

    AMD Radeon HD 5450, 1 G

You can search the specifications of the ports on the vendor's site, before you decide on one.

The machine with only 300w PSU, so don't worry about changing the PSU.

  • Graphics card for Dell Inspiron 3847

Can I put a 7200LE card in this computer?  If Yes, which?

Recently, I put in an NVidia GTX 750 Ti in mine and have no problem except a bottleneck of the i3 4150 but im going to level it too. Rememeber if you receive anything requiring that you will need to buy a new power supply to fuel the beast that I suggest, if you get something newer that my 750Ti then it will be necessary to get at least a 400W - 750W PSU according to what the applications card and if you upgrade the processor. Personally, I like the whole machine, that Dell is the best producer by far in my opinion. I had an HP previously and a Lenovo. HP is the worst customer far experiencewise and Lenovo is ok, but their systems appear cheap inside as they have their own internal components "because its cheaper" kind of thing going. Dell is 5 stars

  • update graphics card for desktop PC HP Pavilion p6-2378

I am looking to update my graphics card for my PC. Those who would be the best for my computer?

    Gamer30, welcome to the forum.

I think that your handle explain what you want to do with the new video card.  Therefore, in my opinion, you have to upgrade the power supply (PSU), also.  The existing PSU is 300W.  Latest intermediate level maps require a minimum of 400 w to work properly.  These cards will be much better than the integrated video.

I like Corsair and OCZ PSU.  They are of high quality.  Here's one that should fit in the space provided and give some future upgrade room.  I would normally recommend at least 500W, but 500 or 600 w will work as well for your situation.  The computer does not use any more power there need work properly.  As a result, won't hurt the computer. I recommend you measure the PSU existing and comparing measures to whichever you choose.

I like the graphics cards XFX, EVGA, Sapphire and PNY in that order.  Here is one that you will give a boost to good performance and won't break the Bank.  I recommend you stay less than 9 "long.  This ensures that it fits in the space provided.

If you don't like one of the recommendations I have made, they will give you at least an idea of what works in your computer.  Always read the reviews to see what users have to say about any product you decide to buy.

  • Update graphics card for Studio XPS 8100 with 600W PSU

    Hello

I just joined the forums of Dell and I was wondering if I could get help for choosing a new graphics card for my studio xps 8100.

I just bought a power SUPPLY Corsair 600w PSU and was looking for a good graphics card for games (something which runs the games current and near future at the top or above), preferably between 70 and 100 pounds. I took a look at the Geforce GTX 650, and I think that the power supply 600w she'll be fine, but I wasn't sure whether she would be fit in my office. Any advice on the appropriateness of the GTX 650 will fit / work, or any recommendation of something better, would be great.

    See you soon

    Hello Oni21,

My apologies for the delay in response and if was not clear in my previous post. I wanted to say before you buy the GTX650, take the computer to a local store and check if the graphics card works on the system.

  • Need info on updating graphics card for Satellite P25 s507

Can someone give me a list of a toshiba satellite p25 s-507-compatible graphics cards? for example, is a "nvidia geforce 6800 go" ultra compatible?
    10 x a lot

I guess you want to know which graphics cards are compatible, because you want to upgrade the graphics card. Am I wrong?
As you probably know, mobile technology is not the same as the desktop PC simply and it s is not possible to replace or change the graphics card.

Especially chips are set on the map and it of not possible to improve it. Also the BIOS, chipset utilities and other application would not accept the new graphics card.

I almost had my PC for a year now. I am looking for a good gfx card update that will allow me to run some high senior graphic games smoothly on graphics settings. P.S. Try to stay as close as possible to $400. I'm not trying to spend too much more than that.

    Hello

Feeding Corair CX500, or CX600 will best fit inside your PC and will have enough power for most video cards.

I run BF3 using a NVIDIA EVGA GTX 660 upstairs to the Ultra no problems at 1920 by 1080 resolution. In addition, if you want your PC to run in UEFI mode you can get an EVGA patch to enable this feature.

  • Adapted from food for a Radeon Graphics Card (for Dell Optiplex 990) 6450

    Hello

I would like to install a graphic card Radeon 6450 in my computer Dell Optiplex 990. I already spent a considerable amount of time and money, the upgrade of the PC. However, the power supply plays in my mind a bit and in regard to the graphics card, I ordered for her and the form factor PC that seems to be a form factor small when I get my service in the site tag code, I want to make sure that I have made the right choice of first time.

My system is attached (a 1st) as well as specific photographs of power supply and graphics card.

I was told that I must really be consider a 400 Watt one. Furthermore. I understand that it's difficult to say without physically seeing the piece in question, but is there a standard size wise size that will fit in my case?

If you need more details, please let me know.

    Thank you very much

    Steve

    Above is current spec system.

Here are pictures of my current diet which I don't put everything (includes connectors - can you tell these if mine is ATX or the type that must be taken into account?):

    The graphics (Radeon 6450) which I have bought too soon! ( :| ) :

One of more to come. Also, I think I have the right PCI port on the motherboard. Who is the answer, please be able to confirm if you certainly know I wish it is my board or send me a photo of one. (It is that with the kind of clip on the end of it, the long version thing)? -Sorry for my terminology!

I would say your 709MT 240W power is very good for a 6450 which uses DDR3.  Not all current Dells use EPS12v ATX power supplies. You have only 2 slots and the card must be discreet.

  • Need of new graphics card for my Satellite Pro M10

    Hello

I guess that my graphics card is broken because the quality of the screen is bad a flickering with green stripes. Almost impossible to read what is on display. In the list of devices, the graphics card is marked with the yellow triangle symbol.

Its seems not to be a driver issue because it's the same thing at the start when you get into the bios (before windows xp starts).

Is it possible to change the graphics card myself? I know, could be difficult, but I guess that I am capable of killing.
    But what card I can use? Now, it's a GeForce4 Go 410.
Can I take a better as long as it's the same size and the need for cooling than the former? How do you know that you can adapt and where to buy?

    I hope someone can help.

    Thanking you in advance.

    Andreas

    Hello

Unfortunately, you cannot swap the graphics card because it s soldered on the main PCB (printed circuit board). If theres anything with Exchange of DIY. You will need to swap the whole motherboard to fix this error.
Then if you still have warranty then bring your machine in an ASP. You can also bring your machine to an ASP when not in warranty, but you will be charged for the Exchange/repair of the motherboard and in your case, it could cost about 300-$500 (I'm just guessing, it can be much more expensive..)

So if you really want a machine to work again then check this link:
