  I have a problem: I have to make adjustments in Lightroom 4 - then when I want to make any other changes in CS5 changes that I've made in LR are not carried over when you select "Edit in Adobe Photoshop" in CS5 I'm editing the original file without changes...

  I try to create an adjustment layer, on my background layer, which seems to be created, but no dialog box is displayed to let me adjust the settings.  Double click on the adjustment layer has no effect, nor does selection layer-> layer content options...

  The image is RGB 8 bit, coming from Lightroom 3 as a DNG.  I tried saving it as a PSD and reopening, and I can't change adjustments not yet in adjustment layers.  Here is what looks like the layers palette:

  Welcome to CS5. Looking for the settings panel, which allows adjustments modeless (window menu > settings).

  After installing CS6 cloud update, whenever I run the application Bridge CS6, it always launches just version CS5.x of the bridge.

  I tried 32-bit and 64-bit with the same results. My other CS6 applications seem to work well.

  This produces no matter what Bridge CS6 icon I used (shortcuts and from the main directory.) Do I need to uninstall Bridge CS5 to make it work?

  None do not uninstall CS5.

  You have Bridge CS5 running the background.  Open Bridge CS5 and go to Edition/Preferences/Advanced and uncheck 'Open bridge when connecting'.

  Open the Task Manager, click processes tab.  Search bridge.exe, and close it.

  I have a mini Ipad 2, downloaded my photos on my Windows 7 pc. The photos have a different extension of the EFA. Windows says it can't open these files. I think I need a file conversion which converts this aae. extension to .jpeg format. Has anyone seen this problem before?

  AAE sidecar format was reported as present in iOS 8 and OS X Yosemite for transfer of non-destructive adjustments in between systems and applications of photo editing.   I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but there is really no way to do what you want to do.

• LR4 adjustment brushes... Possible bug?

  I went through about 100 different sites with this question and technical support, but nothing seems to help. I use windows Vista 64 bit (machine work, non-identifying) with Adobe CS5 production premium. I have this background I created in flash and it allows to export fine. I could test and everything, but lately, he stopped doing this. I hit CTRL + ENTER, and he won't give me a SWF file. I touched the debugging, as it says that it cannot find the swf file. I looked in the folder where everything is for training, and of course, there is no SWF file. I tried to hit CTRL + ENTER and watch the file. The SWF is displayed so that the export progress bar goes, but the second, the bar is made, the file disappears. For a while, if I went into file and export hit movie, it worked, but even this has stopped working. Can someone help me understand this?

  FYI - I put the file on my Mac and it works fine there. I can export, modifications, debugging, just what I like. It's just on my work windows machine.

  So I tried to rebuild the entire scene using a different technique, but I got to a point where I made a hoverspot and tried to add some text to it. When I export, it's the same thing as before where it shows the progress bar but no file is created. Any ideas?

  I am importing into Lightroom 5.4 JPG photo.

  Screen import, in the section 'Apply when importing', the 'develop settings' both fields 'Metadata' are set to 'None '.

  Yet, as the import process progresses, I see the correct thumbnail being changed as automatically develop adjustments take place (cropping and rotating the image in black and white color, at least that's all I noticed). Why is this happening and how can I prevent it from happening?

  I guess that the instructions are incorporated into the JPG file, that I created in Photoshop (and saved as a PSD and JPG), since it occurs in two installations of Lightroom, on the Mac and on Windows 7 (new installation). When I switch to the development module, the only step in the history is importing.

  The reason is that the image was in Lightroom before he wa edited in Photoshop. At this time, in the library module, under develop fast, saved Preset has been set to Custom. • Adjustments of LR not appearing is not in Photoshop CS5

  I just upgraded to LR4. I started to edit a new shoot (Nikon raw files). I did usual BM and changes in lighting to develop multiple images and then open them in photoshop CS5. The first 3 opened as usual with LR adjustments. The 4th file opened WITHOUT LR adjustments. So I closed photoshop and tried the files that had worked before. Now, they also will not appear in photoshop with LR adjustments. I do not change the settings between when it worked and where it does not. I also NEVER had happen in LR3. I do not receive the dialog box that asks if you want to open with LR adjustments or not.

  Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

  PS CS5 is not yet able to interpret the development parameters newly introduced/changed of LR4.

  You can do one of the following:

  A. go to preferences and reset all warning dialog boxes. On the next edition, LR will warn you that the ACR is not compatible. Choose 'make with Lightroom '. This will open the PS picture exactly as it is rendered in Lightroom. The only drawback is that the new TIFF or PSD file is generated * front * PS opens, so it cannot be ruled out by simply closing it in PS. There is a disadvantage of small achievements, too (because of the file originally written by LR + read by PS).

  B. install the release candidate of 6.7 of ACR in Photoshop. This version is able to interpret the new LR4 development settings. However, there seems to be some inconsistencies in the record (he sometimes makes it a bit brighter than LR, see here: http://forums.adobe.com/thread/974963?tstart=0), so I would recommend variant a. for now.
