  Nice day
  I was wondering if there is a tool/plugin that would be something like google for a field search suggestions show on oracle 11g. He looking for a column in the database. The thing is, I have a column where new fields should be added each year, where they do not exist. It's a little complicated and tedious to search if the field exists manually, a tool that would give suggestions when writing a keyword would be really useful.
  If this is not possible, I would really appreciate all the advice I could get on how to make it easier for the user to look for already existing data

  Unfortunately, I can't tell much more about this bean that I pulled out a long time ago, and my memory is not as good as it was ;-)
  I don't even know if this bean is able to insert a word just typed by the user...

  But, as all the material on the site of Java Bean is free, you are also free to find a Java developer who could improve the existing code.

• Developer equivalent Edition for Oracle?

  I'm a software developer and database which currently specializes in Microsoft SQL Server, but I'd like to be able to offer Oracle to my customers as well.  I use SqlServer MS SQL Server Developer Edition on my laptop, which has all the technical features of SQL Server, but is allowed only for development purposes and is very cheap (under $ 150).

  I took some training for Oracle, but I would get something similar for learning, practice, try things and development on my laptop.  Is there something equivalent available for Oracle developers?  I tried Google this, but that just begins to turn upward of "SQL Developer for Oracle" which I * think * is just the developer GUI and not the DBMS itself. (?)

  If it's important, my laptop is running Windows 7 x 64.  Thank you...

  You can use the version business development for free and download from OTN.

  But if you want to go to production, you will need a permit.

  Do not use XE for development - because it has several limitations - if your customer is going to buy a license.

  According to the Oracle Docs Library for Oracle 11 g Release 2 (11.2), in http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E11882_01/server.112/e25494/tspaces005.htm#ADMIN11375, "* when you specify NORMAL in offline mode, the database takes a control point for all data storage files, since need them offline." I tested it in my Studio to Test as shown below:--

  In short, I took the 'TEST_1' tablespace offline normal mode and back again online, but the number unchanged checkpoint remains that violates the Oracle documentation. Posted below in my versions of Oracle database installed: -.

  If I had to define oracle services to start manually is there a specific order in which oracle services must be turned on as oracleServiceORCL first, then oracleOradb11g_home2_TNSLISTENER? I set the services to start manually and when I SPEAR oracleServiceORCL remains at about ~ 47 MB of memory, TNS listener won't turn on and I can't use OEM.
  
  When the services are set to automatic, I can use OEM however my pc startup time is like 3 minutes :).

• Use of the JRE instead of JInitiator causes problems of development of mouse for Oracle Forms

  We run Oracle Forms application based using JRE instead of JInititor.
  
  (1) the application is run on an individual laptop with Windows XP SP3 as an operating system.
  (2) with the help of oc4j of Oracle Developer Suite 10.2.0.1.0 to run the application
  (3) JInititor is more used and JRE version 1.6.0_26 or JRE version 1.6.0_27 used to launch the application. It works very well.
  (4) the browsers used to access the applicarion are IE8 and Mozilla Firefox 8.0.1
  
  Questions:
  (1) cannot have the focus of the mouse on an item. Even when the cursor seems to be in another element, for example after ctrl + E, point B article content watch editor has (which is the first on the form).
  (2) the LOV on any item shows what brings the LOV on section (first one on the form).
  (3) we are forced to use the keyboard to access the respective item all the time.
  
  Can anyone suggest a solution to this problem?

  This thread appears to be a bit confusing.  You try to delete the entry 'Window' menu or the bar together, which includes the Oracle logo?  If you try to remove the whole bar AND that you use the latest version of forms (11.1.2.2), you can use the new applet parameter guiMode.  This new feature of 11 GR 2 allows to hide the various window dressings.  See the Deployment Guide forms 11.1.2 for more details on how to use this new feature:

  Try to reinstall or install the Oracle client with advanced features. That solved your problem.

• Forms yields compile 11g FRM-30086 cannot adjust shape for output and also PDE-PER001 (depep 2)

  We migrate to 11g and all but a compilation more than 50 Forms 10g modules and you are running.  I have a form module that displays any compilation error, but at the end of the compilation operation, the process ends with fatal error above.  If I touch the form in any way subsequently, for example by trying to expand or collapse a node, I get the BDP-PER001 internal error (depep 2).

  The platform is MS Windows 7 (fully updated) with Oracle Forms 11.1.2.1, and the error occurs if I try compiling on the development environment or the execution environment.  The two environments are identical and have been installed from the same jar file.

  This form compiles and runs properly in the old environment, R2 (10.1.2.0.2) 10.

  I have converted the binary module in text and in return, having no impact.  The result of the conversion of binary text and binary fails to compile with the same error and subsequent symptoms. I also tried to copy all the items in the folder to a new empty form module, and the "copy" resulting not as above.  I compared the attributes of the physical form of this file on the attributes of another form of verified, and they match.    My latest effort had to examine each element of the form, starting with the physical attributes of the form itself, to make sure that nothing overlapped a canvas.  The form uses the coordinate system of 'Character' with the width of the cell from 8 up to 20 of the cell like all the other modules in form in this series.  There is no "limit violations" seen and the closest suspects of you, that I could find were several elements not (or no longer) assigned to a canvas at all, with residual coordinates that would put them outside the canvas of the likely candidate.  I erased the location coordinates to 0,0 on all of this, with no apparent effect.

  What did I miss?  I could not find any other possible causes of the FRM 30086, and there is almost nothing on the BDP-PER001 internal error (depep 2).  All constructive ideas are welcome.

  I see that you have converted your shape just to text and back, but I would recommend converted to xml and back.

  During this operation, the converter will compare your form for the xml-schema forms and must report any error with your file.

  I can only say 10 g Forms. Here the programs you need are "frmf2xml.bat" and "frmxml2f.bat" (you can find both in "ORACLE_HOME\bin").

  Initially only oracle 11g has been installed on my system. Later, I learned for the first time forms and I have to connect to the database frm developer suite 10 g. so I installed oracle 10 g database.

  The names are the same, because this is the way which you created them.

  If you want to make a change to use NETCA to delete and recreate one of them.

  Just make sure that you have set ORACLE_HOME properly until you do.
