Developer SQL allows you to create a generation of schema objects script allows?

Hi all
Developer SQL has all the options to create a schema generation script? Toad allows you to select objects (tables, views, packages etc), and I think now is smart enough to create these in the proper order, if generally, constraint errors do not occur. I know that you can export the DDL file, but could not find an option to create a script?

Thank you

Mike

Have you tried the new truck?

You drag your items in the shopping cart and use the deploy. It will generate a series of scripts. They are designed to take into account the order of creation and to preserve your data if you want to include.

Here's a quick glimpse of it

If you want the entire schema, try tools > Database Export.

    If you cannot avoid using shortcut keys for cut/copy/paste in the PL/SQL Editor, then you must wait for a fix.  Here is a relevant discussion...

    Developer SQL 4.0.3 freezes often irreparably

    Try the production version 4.1 when it comes out.  Article 4.1 of the last is ai2 (Early adopter 2), but some corrections of editor-in-Chief of the JDeveloper team don't have become available until after this release.  We get close to having a RC1 (release candidate 1) and hope that the type of blocking you encounter will be finally fixed. Another recommendation is to disable see breadcrumbs in Tools > Preferences > code editor > display.  Who can help in some cases.

  • Why Developer SQL displays arrows (relations) between parent and child tables in my entity relationship diagram?

    Hello

    Oracle version:                     Oracle Database 11 g Release 11.1.0.7.0 - 64 bit Production

    The version of SQL Developer: 4.0.2.15 - 15.21 build

    I have a question about drawing diagram, entity-relationship with SQL Developer & I would be grateful if you could kindly give me a helping hand.

    I would like to draw an entity-relationship diagram in order to better visualize the relationship between multiple tables. After a google search, I found the following interesting article indicating the procedure to be followed:

    http://www.Oracle.com/technetwork/issue-archive/2014/14-may/o34sqldev-2193423.html

    (What I need and I'm trying to produce is Figure 4 in the article above)

    I made exactly as stated in the article & apparently everything has worked well enough, in other words, I had several UML as rectangles showing columns of tables, their data types, primary and
    foreign key and the arrows indicating the link between each parent/child table.

    Later, I tried to do the same thing on a different oracle instance and a different database by using the same procedure. Yet, something strange happened this time. Developer SQL printed on-screen tables, once again,.
    inside the rectangles with types, keys,... but, there was no arrow showing the link between the tables, I just saw on the grid the selected tables but without any association/relationship shown (as a symbol of an arrow)
    between them.

    I repeated the procedure on another instance of development, with a few test tables that I created with primary and foreign keys just to make sure I had followed the procedure correctly. Once again

    the test was successful, but when I repeated the test on another instance, the same problem persisted, in other words, no arrow (relationship) between tables.

    Any idea?

    This could be due to a lack of privilege on the instance? If Yes, what should be granted in what about roles?

    Thanks in advance

    I think that what you see is that not all databases have foreign keys - applications hard-coding relationships vs let the database to handle this.

    Connect to this instance different oracle and browse the tables affected - have FK constraints defined on them?

  • Developer SQL Debugging and Securiy issue

    Running PL/SQL: CALL the DBMS_DEBUG_JDWP. CONNECT_TCP ('my pc ip', '58201')

    ORA-30683: failure connecting to debugger

    ORA-12535: TNS:operation expired

    This message appears when I try to debug a procedure of the SQL Developer. I have concluded that the database cannot connect to the debugger on my pc for to proceed with debugging. I have security problems in our network for open access on the database side to my pc.

    Oracle has put this question in concern the preparation of the debugger? Is there a way to set the debugging procedures and functions to be server-side? or suggestions to work around the security concerns.

    N.B.:

    1. Toad both server-side options, and client-side debugging
    2. There are a lot of request for access will be issued to allow the databases to connect to client computers and it is an application of type of unreasonable for people to safety.

    SOLVED

    I opened my pc access over the network to the database, so now the database can connect to my sql developer debugger when you are debugging.

    Thanks for the support

  • Developer SQL 4.0 ai2 - cannot use OpenLDAP with LDAP connect option

    Hello

    I have OpenLDAP installation to work with my Oracle customers to use the TNS connection, instead of having scattered files tnsnames.ora strings about hundreds of servers.

    It works very well with 10g / 11g, customers complete and instantaneous, no problem.

    Now, I am trying configure SQL Developer 4.0 ai2 working with her, as well.

    When I try to do, I am able to select the 'LDAP' option in 'Connection Type', and the drop-down list "LDAP server" is correctly filled with my LDAP server of ldap.ora.

    However, when I select it, I get the following error:

    Status: Failed-[LDAP: error 32 - No Such Object code]

    Now, I did some research and I followed the slapd.log file, which shows me the following:

    Sep 18 02:43:35 slapd einstein [2779]: conn = ACCEPT 1034 fd = 16 = 192.168.125.1:63781 (IP = 0.0.0.0:389) IP address

    Sep 18 02:43:35 slapd einstein [2779]: conn = 1034 op = 0 BIND dn = "" method = 128 "

    Sep 18 02:43:35 slapd einstein [2779]: conn = 1034 op = 0 RESULT tag = 97 err = 0 text =

    "Sep 18 02:43:35 slapd einstein [2779]: conn = 1034 op = base SRCH = 1" "scope = 2 deref = 0"(objectClass=orclContext) = filter. "

    Sep 18 02:43:35 slapd einstein [2779]: conn = 1034 op = 1 tag = 101 err = 32 nentries SEARCH RESULTS = 0 text =

    Sep 18 02:43:35 slapd einstein [2779]: conn = 1034 op = 2 UNBIND

    Sep 18 02:43:35 slapd einstein [2779]: conn = 1034 fd = 16 closed

    That is a lot more detail, but reflects the corresponding error code (32 - No Such Object).

    After doing some tests with ldapsearch, I was able to reproduce this only developer SQL is done and get the same exact error.

    The ldapsearch command is:

    ldapsearch einstein Pei 389 - c - x d h "" b "" "(objectClass=orclContext)" "

    Research in the slapd.log file, I find a mistake similar to what is produced from SQL Developer.

    In addition, the query SQL Developer wants can be done successfully with the following ldapsearch:

    ldapsearch h einstein Pei 389 - c - x d ' "b"dc = proquest, dc = com""(objectClass=orclContext) ""

    Thus, it seems that the problem is the fact that the SQL Developer does not provide a research base.

    I'm not expert LDAP, and I really don't know where to turn next.

    Is there a SQL Developer option that allows me to put this basic research?  Is there a setting I'm missing on the LDAP server configuration?

    Thank you

    -Mark

    Well, that didn't take long.  I managed to find a solution to the problem.

    It boils down to the fact that the SQL Developer does not provide a research base, and my LDAP server had a defined default search base.

    When I edited slapd.conf (OpenLDAP configuration file) and add a parameter "defaultsearchbase" and bounced the LDAP, everything started working.

    I now have a working with OpenLDAP and Developer SQL configuration.

    I'll mark this discussion as closed.

    Link to your thread to listen would have helped: Oracle XE 11g with Apex No problem of Listener (ORA-12541: listener TNS:no)

    It seems that your listener uses the static instance via the listener.ora file registration and missing entries for the http service. Edit your listener.ora (F:\Apex_Installed\app\oracle\product\11.2.0\server\network\ADMIN\listener.ora) file and add the following entries in the listener.ora file DESCRIPTION_LIST. Then, restart the listenerer.

  • Developer SQL connected to a DB SQL Server (problem with "INSERT an IDENTITY")

    I use developer SQL to connect to a DB in SQL Server by using the jTDS jar file.

    Problem is that when I try to run the "SET IDENTITY_INSERT < TABLE >;" SQL Developer has told me that he skips the command.
    Error message in the console: "SQLPLUS Command ignored: set IDENTITY_INSERT < TABLE > WE.

    I am running:
    Developer SQL v3.2.09 (Build HAND-09: 30 pm)
    JTDS - jtds - 1.2.6.jar
    JAVA jdk1.7.0_05

    Any idea why this might be happening?

    NOTE: I know that if the 'IDENTITY_INSERT' is already activated, then it could happen, but believe me, it isn't. Because, if I try to run a command "INSERT IN...» ", I get the error that the"INSERT an IDENTITY' is DISABLED for the table.

    Published by: Ali-Star August 29, 2012 11:22

    Set identity_insert is a command to SQL Server that is not managed by SQL Developer. You must pass the set command as it is on the SQl Server using the / * sqldev:stmt * /, for example:

    drop table test1;
    -Online moved as test1 table.

    create table test1 (col1 int identity (1,1));
    -Online table TEST1 created.

    Insert into test1 (col1) values (10);
    => Error from line 4 on order:
    -Online insert into test1 (col1) values (10)
    -Online error in the command line: 4 column: 0
    => Error report:
    -Online SQL error: cannot insert an explicit value for identity in the table 'test1' column when IDENTITY_INSERT is set to OFF.

    When I use the sqldev:stmt setting now I can place an order directly to SQL Server:

    / * sqldev:stmt * / set identity_insert test1;
    -Online set IDENTITY_INSERT succeeded.

    Insert into test1 (col1) values (11);
    -Online 1 lines inserted.

  • Buffer SQL commands (get, run, save, etc.) in Developer SQL does not?

    I am a developer SQL 3.1.07.42 Windows 7 64 bit with java 1.7

    I have c:\test.sql that contains
    PROMPT Working
    and c:\testscript.sql that contains
    set echo on
    set serveroutput on
    /
    GET c:\test.sql
    SAVE c:\test_working.sql
    LIST 1 LAST
    RUN
    If I open a new worksheet and type:
    @\testscript.sql
    then press F5, I get:
    @\testscript.sql
    set serveroutput on
    /
    GET c:\test.sql
    SAVE c:\test_working.sql
    LIST 1 LAST
    RUN
    If the c:\test_working.sql is not created and the content of the script is not executed.

    What I am actually trying to do here (and maybe you guys have a better idea) is to capture the output of the sql command that appears on the client, send it to the server, treat it somehow and then do everything with her (she log in my case).

    For example (a very simple example from my scripts).
    spool c:\temporary.tmp
    create table test();
    spool off;

    get c:\temporary.tmp
    0 begin insert into logtable (msg) (trim('
    100 ')); end;

    save logit.sql

    @'logit.sql'
    the idea is to be able to save the output of any control block / anonymous plsql in a way that can be sent to the server for processing (this is for most mistakes, of course).
    I can intercept DBMS_OUTPUT turning SERVEROUTPUT then a DBMS_OUTPUT. ACTIVATE and finally using DBMS_OUTPUT. GET all the lines and the process/log them, but I have not found a way yet to catch the rest of the "TERMOUT' of treatment other than the queue, but even then, I couldn't find a way to get the local file (content) on the server; and this idea GET/SAVE/RUN appeared to be feasible but its does not work (I even tried interactively, but maybe I'm doing something wrong).

    Any ideas/suggestions on the topic are welcome.

    Thank you.

    Hello

    According to the 3.1.04.72 SQL Developer documentation, the "get" command (among others) is not supported:
    Help | Table of contents | SQL Developer concepts and use. With the help of the SQL worksheet | SQL * more supported and unsupported statement...

    If the options are limited. If sqlplus is available and use it as an "external" tool will not conflict entirely with local policy, these links may interest you:

    Otherwise, you can add a feature request for this on the SQL Developer and see if such an improvement is a priority for the community.

    Someone at - there experience this problem? is there a setting that makes Developer SQL behave differently?

    There is a bug.

    The solution is to make sure that the name of the object in CREATE or REPLACE is uppercase

    So in your example make DO_STUFF

    Run as a Script

    Then check the compiler Log/Logging Panel, you will see your mistakes.

    It has been marked to be fixed in our next release.

    Hi John,.

    Every time I'm fence design and export the ddl and reopening through the import of the DDL file

    Why are you doing this? Once the DDL file is imported and then save the drawing and open simply saved design, no need to generate the DDL and import it every time that you start Modeler data.
    On the list of values - forced as this CHECK (Active_Flag IN ('A', 'I')) are imported as constraint check plain and not as a list of values.
    There are the more specific elements import of check constraint - they are defined as type database constraint that you select during the import. Accordingly if you import your DOF as Oracle 10 g DDL, then you will get forced correct check in DDL generated for Oracle 10 g and Oracle 11 g. Constraint of evil will be generated for Oracle 9i. You can move the constraint for Oracle 9i (in the check constraint dialog box) or generic if it can be treated as such constraint.

  • SQL Developer / SQL Loader - copy of tables

    Hello

    I currently work with two copies of a web application, to access the various Oracle environments.
    I can access these two databases by using only the credentials of the web application. These credentials allow CRUD operations, but have no permission to import/export.

    I tried to copy data between identical tables in the database. Given the restrictive permission set I was advised to use SQL Loader. I'm also using SQL Developer (cannot have TOAD for licensing reasons, bah!)

    I managed to save the tables I want to go to the source database by using the loader file format, but can't seem to find a way to use them in the destination database. Developer SQL provides a variety of export controls, import only I see associates a xls/csv format. There are other migration assistants provided with SQL Developer, but they don't seem to want to cling to my connection settings (import/export authorizations given, once again, I think).

    Developer SQL provides the facility to import ldr files?

    Thank you
    Jim

    No GUI, just the \bin\sqlldr.exe on the server...

    Have fun
    K.
