Satellite A200 (PSAF6A) - update display driver

Hey all, got a friend here with a laptop A200 (PSAF6A) with Vista Home Premium 32 bit and display top drivers are with he came, course they are overwhelmed.

In any case, I installed the "20080311103412 display" from the website and when he finished there was no catalyst control center installed, in fact, it seemed as there was no display at all driver, just the driver of Windows by default.
I reinstalled the original back on top drivers and they worked very well, I went to the page of download ATI and got the latest drivers from there.
I installed those and even though they said they were working to the display of catalyst driver version still says it's the same as the old drivers (2007.0516.57.42724, to be exact)

I'm doing something wrong? I n t played with the ATI drivers for years, and they seem to have changed much since then.

Thanks for any help
If you need more information just ask and I'll give you
Thank you once again

Hello!

Well, you must use drivers Toshiba because the ATI drivers don't have protection against overheating and the graphics card may be damaged.
So with the Toshiba drivers, you're on the safe side.

Before installing latest graphics driver, you must remove the old first in Add / Remove programs. Then, restart your PC and install the graphics driver.
Try this.

Good bye

  • Satellite M40 - cannot update display driver

    Hi experts, :)

I downloaded a new display driver ati from the archives of toshiba (for psm40e satellite). I know that my laptop has an ati chip, so I downloaded the driver for ati, installed, but after a reboot XP told me that the driver was written for an older version of himself (WIN XP) and does not work correctly...
Because I really need a driver updated for the thing, I was wondering if any of you know how and where I might be able to get a.

I've already tried ati directly, but the software told me to get the driver of toshiba... and current toshiba ati driver seems to be incompatible with XP SP3...
    I'm happy for suggestions!
    THX!

I think that the must decommission your Windows XP SP2, and then the driver should work.

Have you tried to install the driver manually? Go to Device Manager > right click on the graphics card > update driver
But before that I remove the old driver and software in Add and remove programs and then restart the computer.

Maybe it works, but try it.

    Hello

You can use but no Toshiba driver cannot damage the graphics card.
You can use it at your own risk!

Toshiba drivers are not similar with the original manufacturer s graphics drivers. The original graphics drivers are not designed for laptops for a desktop PC. Desktop Pc graphics cards has a clean cooling system and portable graphics hasn t an own fans. In this case, Toshiba drivers have protection against overheating. So sometimes, the graphics card can t works with 100% performance and you can always find the most recent updates.

I know that readers have a factory reset hidden on the disc and press 0 to the power upward, but with the unreadable disk, how can I repair my installation of Windows Vista?

    Hello

If the HARD drive is not recognized by the BIOS or other laptops, then I would say that your HARD drive is defective.
In this case, you need to replace the HARD drive.
In this case, you will not be able to start the recovery procedure from the HARD drive because it works badly as he has already said

Are you from the Australia? If you need a recovery disk, I recommend contacting the local Toshiba ASP to get this drive

  • Satellite A200 PSAF6A - cannot find drivers

    Satellite A200 PSAF6A-07G01N

I can't find the download of the driver page.
There is probably one. If there isn't one, what can I use instead?

    Thank you.

    Hello

The Satellite A200 PSAF6A-07G01N is an Australian for Toshiba laptop model.
The same laptop models were released in the United States, but the model number was different (PSAF6U - 02900T)
But most of the drivers are the same and would operate on your Australian unit.

Go to the Toshiba U.S. driver page:
    http://support.Toshiba.com/support/drivers
and the search for model PSAF6U - 02900T get the appropriate drivers.

    Hello

This seems to be an Australian series for Toshiba laptop.
    You can find it here:
    http://www.ISD.Toshiba.com.au

You will find the audio driver and the most recent BIOS.

But I recommend to check the sound settings first.
I guess that's a Realtek audio chip in the Realtek audio Manager panel you could supply some parameters that control the headphones and speakers.

Tab of reading on the right you will find the headset by clicking right into this and check the options that are available.

  • Satellite A200 (PSAF6A) resets randomly

    Hello

I have a problem with my Satellite A200 (PSAF6A) randomly resetting itself. It does not matter what job I do, or how long I let the laptop, it will be just black screen on me and reboot. Sometimes he'll do Mid-when the form starts, other times I can use it for a while before he'll do. It seems to be a problem which intensified during some time, occurring initially quite rarely, which is now so frequently that it makes the phone unusable.

This issue seems to happen mostly when running off the AC power. When you use the battery I have minimal problems, until the battery runs out. Although stability is much higher when you use the battery, I can't confirm that AC is actually the cause of the problem, because it is a random problem and I will sometimes use alternating current for a long time without error.

I can say that the problem is not caused by overheating or drivers/software/OS. The laptop has been maintained to be free of all dust blocking the radiator as well as for a new application of thermal grease for NB and CPU chips. Everything is running at the level of the standard factory.
I tried Linux, XP, Vista, Win7 and can tell it seems to be a problem specific to an operating system or driver (he got the problem when no OS has been loaded yet).

If anyone has had similar problems or knows what could be my problem, your help would be greatly appreciated.

  • Satellite A200 PSAF6A - question of upgrading the Bios

I have a Satellite A200 PSAF6A and I am trying to upgrade the Bios as the current has a virus or something in it and I want to know how to do this with a floppy disk based BACK or how to make a boot disk for bios.

Any help would be so appreciated thanks.

    > I'm trying to upgrade the Bios because the current has a virus or something in it
    Virus in the BIOS?
Sorry mate but I put t believe that! Why do you think the ROM module where the BIOS is stored could be affected by the virus?

In addition, the traditional BIOS (BACK as you say) is not available for download!
You can find a BIOS based on the victory and these BIOS can be updated from windows system!

  • Display Satellite A200 - 1 M 8 driver: need for XP

I put Windows XP on my computer.

I downloaded from the official page of the ATI drivers for my video card, but tell my laptop, it can not be installed.

What should I do? Please, help me.

    Hello

    The Satellite A200 - 1 M 8 belongs to the PSAE6 series.
You must choose this issue of the European driver Toshiba page to obtain compatible drivers!

In addition this laptop supports the Mobility Radeon X 2600 (name of Code M76).
The driver for this card is also downloadable from the site of www.omegadrivers.net!

But the Toshiba page it provides also the compatible; It's a 8.383.1.1000 version

Please note that all drivers must be installed in the correct order as mentioned in the installation instructions.

Last but not least; If you use XP on this laptop, the BIOS must be updated to the correct version that supports XP!
But be careful; the bad BIOS or bad update may damage the motherboard notebook!

    Help, please!

    Thnx

    Hello!

Well, for me it looks like you didn't uninstall the old display driver software. Before installing a newer version, you still need to delete the old version. So go in Control Panel > software. Select ATI display driver software and remove it. After restarting the laptop, you must clean the Windows system using CCleaner (Google is your friend to find it). Restart again and after that, you can install the latest version of page of Toshiba.

    I hope this works.
Moreover, what graphics card do you have?

  • Satellite A200 - Firmware update is not possible

    Hello

Toshiba Tempro (version v.2.3) informs me that a firmware update is available. He directs me to
    http://nl.computers.Toshiba-Europe.com/innovation/download_driver_details.jsp?id=62091&OSID=-1&driverLanguage=42&source=tempo&LNG=3

The Satellite A200 (which I own) is mentioned in the supported products. When I download and extract the file (frmwre - 20080422163939.zip) and then try to open TS - L632H_TO02.exe, an error message is displayed:
"This Firmware is not compatible with the selected drive.
Contact your system manufacturer for more information on the firmware updates available for this drive".

Is the message of defective tempro, the wrong file was broadcast on your download server, or maybe it's something that bad?

    Hey,.

What CD/DVD drive you have? Maybe it is not compatible s, this could be possible, Yes.

But if your engine is working properly, you can forget about this update. I would like to only do a firmware update if it of necessary.

  • Satellite A200-AH5 CD/DVD drive does not burn any CD

I have a laptop Toshiba Satellite (A200 AH3) under Windows Vista Home Premium.
    For what it's worth, there's a T2085 @ 1.73 GHz processor. It is a 32-bit operating system.
In the Device Manager when I click on the CD/DVD-Rom drives, I get CD/DVGW TSSTcorp TS-L632D ATA Device.
By clicking on this that I find that the driver is working correctly and up-to-date. I was not able to burn a CD on this system...

I have not tried to burn a DVD.
I ran through all the steps to burn a CD, however, but even if he goes through the process to show the progress that each song to a playlist is burned to disc, when the disc is supposed to be finalized... nothing on the disc when I try to read, and with the exception of iTunes or another program open when I place the CD in the drive to be played absolutely nothing happens.
I tried to burn music on a CD on the desktop of my sister, and it burned fine.

Then... It is not a problem with the discs.
When I took the disc to my sister had burned and placed in the disk drive on my laptop, it displays the tracks that had been burned and he played the music very well. This really threw me a loop for.
The laptop is only a year old and I can not burn anything.

Unfortunately, the warranty has expired. I am desperate to get this problem fixed. I don't know if he's going to burn a DVD, but I ruined 2 boxes of CD - R discs already. After disk supposedly burned music... even if no music has been burned... the disc is ruined and must be discarded.

I'm not terribly knowledgeable about aspects of warming of the computers, so I hope you can tell me in general terminology if you answer to my problem. I really hope someone out there can advise me as to what is happening or what I should do to fix the problem.

Thanks for any help in advance!

    Thank you.

    Hello

In your case, I recommend trying the different CD s from different manufacturers.
You should know that not all CD or DVD would be fully compatible with your internal CD/DVD drive.
In many cases no compatible CD or DVD would lead to exactly the same problems that you described in your post so trying different media!

In addition, I recommend checking the Toshiba driver for a CD/DVD drive update page s firmware.
As I m not wrong not the Satellite A200-AH3 belongs to the Canadian series and you should check the Canadian page for a new firmware. Maybe a new firmware is available

Last but not least, you can switch to other burning software I m using Nero I think it s the best applications for such purposes
