Difference in Camera Raw 7.2 and 4.2 Lightroom

Camera Raw 7.2 appears to have introduced a color management problem, since the Adobe Standard camera profile is no longer present in Camera Raw 7.2, whereas it appears again in the 4.2 version of Lightroom.

This means that exports of raw files from 4.2 Lightroom to Photoshop CS6 as an external editor are converted from Adobe Standard (the default Lightroom) in one of the presets ACR in Camera raw, resulting in a significant color change.

Since it seems not possible to choose the profile used by Camera Raw on the fly when using Photoshop as an external editor of in Lightroom, then this cannot be corrected.

The only solution seems to be to set a default profile such as Standard v4 camera in Camera Raw and make sure all the images in Lightroom are assigned to this profile during import so that the color remains consistent while editing in Photoshop.

Two dialog boxes are presented below.

Camera-Profiles.png

Appears not to be a problem in earlier versions of Camera Raw (of least not on my old MBP with CS5 and LR3), so why the stretchable Adobe Standard profile and how we select a different profile, if you use Photoshop CS6 as an external editor in Lightroom 4.2 in order to maintain uniformity of color?

You may remove or uninstall everything related to Adobe lately? ACR and LR should see the same set of DNG profiles unless things have been deleted or moved. You can try to download the most recent version of DNG Converter 7.2 and do an installation. This should replace all the current DNG profiles with cab 7.2.

I work with Lightroom 4.4; Camera Raw 7.4 and Photoshop CS6 13.0.6. Last month I bought a new camera Nikon D810, when trying to open files with this software I'm told that the files are not compatible with this version. I have updated their until I could, but still I can not work with my new file format. What is the solution?

You must update your version of Lightroom to 5.6 or newer to support the native file of the NAVE of the Nikon D810. Take a look at this page for more information on when a particular camera support has been added to Lightroom and Adobe Camera Raw: supported by Adobe Camera Raw devices

  • I downloaded and installed the camera Raw 8.8 and ORF files that will always open in Lightroom 5.7.

I downloaded and installed the camera Raw 8.8 and ORF files that will always open in Lightroom 5.7.  The files were made using the new Olympus E - M5 II, who is on the list of supported devices.  When I run Lightroom and check the on the screen, it says it's Lightroom version 5.7, but Camera Raw 8.7 despite my having upgraded to 8.8.  I use a MacBook Pro with OS 10.7.5 Please advise on how to import and use ORF files in Lightroom.

The files were made using the new Olympus E - M5 II, who is on the list of supported devices.

Yes, this camera is supported by Camera Raw 8.8.

Camera Raw plugin | Supported devices

However, the required 'Version of Lightroom Minimum' column is empty. Lightroom does not yet support it.

Like the so-called Warunicorn, Lightroom does not use the Camera Raw using Photoshop plugin. It uses its own Raw conversion engine so you have to wait for an update of Lightroom separate for this camera edit Raw files in Lightroom. Or use the DNG Converter and work with the DNG in Lightroom.

  • Camera Raw 6.0 (and Lightroom 3) extra slow, what's happening?

    Hello

I have a very annoying problem with VC 6.0 and LR 3, which is a very slow responsiveness in previews of the photo.

A month ago, I was using Windows XP 32-bit SP3 on my machine (Intel Core Duo Q6600 (4x2.57Ghz hearts) - 4 GB of RAM). I had Photoshop CS4 with Camera Raw 5.x and Lightroom 2. Everything was very good.

Then I moved to Windows Seven 64-bit and CS5 with CR 6 and 3 LR.

Now, I have exactly the same problem that I had before buying my current 4 PC kernel, which is:

in Camera Raw, even the left side of scrolling thumbnails is extremely slow (rendeing of thumbnails of images), and appying the slightest change of a slider (even basic) takes about a second and sometimes two seconds to be applied to the preview of the image. Pretty painful to use!

It goes same for adjustments and thumbnails in LR 3.

It's the behavior even with Canon EOS 300 d, RAW files that are only 6 Megapixels!

I tried to get back into LR2 and CS4 to check yet, but well, seems quite surprising because LR3 was supposed to be much faster and responsive.

As this is a clean install, I have the last set of video drivers (it is an ATI Radeon X 4800).

Do you have any suggestions as to what I could do to fix this?

    Thank you!

Just out of curiosity, what was so terribly detrimental reponsiveness in ACR 6.0?

And, Lightroom uses the same internal plugin 8bi file to process or do I have you updated to Lightroom separately to return the responsiveness?

I don't know what they were doing, but I guess that they rewrite of the code that deals with some of the new process of calculations and preview, to be more efficient processor.

Lightroom uses not the plugin, as I know. I guess that would need a separate update. I didn't. You could tell us if it is a faster.

  • Camera Raw 9.1 and Nikon D810 Photoshop Lightroom CC2015 and CC2015

Do I have to buy Photoshop and Lightroom CC 2015 programs before they recognize my for my D810 Nikon NEF files?

I tried in vain for three days to get the trial versions of Photoshop and Lightroom CC 2015 to recognize my for my D810 Nikon NEF files.  I have read the forums on Camera Raw 9.1; downloaded and installed updates several times; and I still can't get it to work.  My folder under Program Files/Common Files Adobe does not reflect the camera Raw 9.1, but reflects Camera Raw 5 and 8.  Documentation under help in the program button reflect that Camera Raw 9.1 is the program you use, but I can't find it on my computer when I perform a search for the file.

I installed the bridge CC and he sees the JPEG and NEF files, but when I click on a file with the D810 NAVE, it opens up Photoshop CC 2015 and it says that it cannot open this file.  I downloaded the DNG Converter and it also does not recognize my files for the D810 NAVE. When I click on help/update programs, they just take back me to the creative Application of cloud and the option "Manage the Application" is grayed out (not Accessible) under the setup button.  The only available option is uninstall.

I installed CS4 and have used successfully for several years, and I would continue to use Photoshop with my Nikon D810.  Programs to work with my NEF files created with my Nikon D5000, and I know that the program is installed correctly.

Thank you in advance for any help, I can get with this problem.

Yes, probably too large for email. Yahoo (my e-mail domain) accepts up to 25 MB. As the captive images worked fine, I lean toward "corrupt" files Sometimes View NX2 Soundtracks transfer only files enough for ACR/LR does not read, but still the Nikon software. Have you tried the fix NAVE in my previous post?

  • just bought Nikon D750 and won't recognize the files NEF - made updates, downloaded camera Raw 9.1 and still no go - works without problem on lightroom - suggestions?

looked on the FAQ and made their recommendations and still not recognition

Have you used the Nikon software to download files? This has been known to corrupt the files so that they will not open in Bridge or Photoshop.

  • Photoshop or Camera Raw, Lightroom and Photoshop (with Bridge)?

Since then, if I understand correctly, Camera Raw is a match for the Lightroom Develop Module these days, I wonder how using Camera RAW and Photoshop with bridge as an organizer, compared with Lightroom and Photoshop.

Would be grateful pros Rapids or disadvantages on these two approaches.  Thanks in advance.

That would explain the differences and circumstances: Photoshop Lightroom of Versus, which is right for you?

  • Photoshop CS6 and Camera Raw

I just bought a Canon 5 d Mark IV but the rough version of the camera on my PC (version 7) does not read the files. I went to help and updates, then it sys it comes to the current version. Then, I went to the Adobe site and downloaded Camera Raw 9.1.1 installer but it did not update on photoshop.  Any ideas how I intall this version of camera raw? Any help would be appreciated

Camera Raw 9.7 is necessary to have support for this model of camera raw files. And camera raw 9.7 is not compatible with Photoshop CS6. If you have decided to stay with this version of Photoshop then your the cheaper option would be to download converter DNG 9.7 and create copies of your raw images that will open in Camera Raw DNG 9.1.1. What has happened that lead you to believe that Camera Raw 9.1.1 has not installed? If you go to help-> on plug-ins and choose Camera Raw, what version?

  • Before and after the problem - Module Development - Windows 7, 64-bit - Lightroom CC v. 2015.5 - camera raw 9.5

I use Windows 7 64-bit, Lightroom CC 2015.5 Camera Raw 9.5 and the module development on a feature photo ' before and after ' does not work.

He shows me the image changed, but not the original (I don't know exactly what another image "edited", it shows me).

In the screen shot, you can see the pictures "before and after" and the one original overxposed.

I hope I am clear enough.

    Any suggestion?

  • I can't update my plugin for CS6 camera raw. I have 7.0 and you must have at least 7.4.

I downloaded a 9.2 file zip, but it does not update. When I go to help > updates in CS6, updates is gray. What can I do else?

Photoshop CS6 is compatible with Camera Raw versions up to 9.1. I suggest that you remove camera Raw 9.2 and download and install Camera Raw 9.1.

  • CS4 and Yosemite, Camera Raw update

I bought a new macbook from apple with Yosemite, I installed Adobe CS4.

    Everything is good so far.

But when I tried to install the Camera Raw update, adobe refused.

How can I install the new Camera Raw?

You can not. The latest version of Camera Raw CS4 supported was 5.7, which is always useful to have.
Adobe - Adobe Camera Raw and DNG Converter: for Macintosh

You pouvez use the latest version of the DNG Converter. Assign to his preference of compatibility to Camera Raw 5.4 and laterand folders duplicates of files raw DNG files, which can be opened by Camera Raw 5.7 under CS4.
