Different update?

This update is different from the update for Droid X, which was announced on many Android forums?

Not sure I understand the question, but we do not expect more than a Droid X update this week.

You will probably need to install updates one at a time to restart the computer between each installation. To do this, once opened the Update window, click on "Custom". Uncheck all the updates except one. Install the update. Restart the computer if prompted. Repeat these steps until all updates are installed.

  • updates for applications

    Hello

I'm curious to know why the apps that are available on my mac and my iPhone are different updates. According to my mac apps are up to date, but then when I check on my phone apps are much further in the versions and updates. I'm curious to know regarding if it is a problem with my mac in particular or rather if the mac App Store does not offer these updates.

    Thank you

Mac and iDevices use completely different operating systems. Applications must be coded separately for each system, so that they may, or may not, be in harmony. They are totally different applications.

Each operating system has also different possibilities and limitations, which explains why applications on Mac may have differences with the 'same' apps on iOS. Many updates are purely to fix bugs. The operating system and being different code bases, we have need of a bug fix does not mean the other needs a similar fix.

  • Extremely slow/unnecessary Windows Update after system recovery.

    Hello

While trying to help a friend with her laptop, I encountered a small problem, which seems quite unique. After searching the ' net and the Knowledge Base, I'm about as clued in as when I started, that is to say not very.

    Machine: Satellite 1800 412 (Danish).

DID: Restore the system to zero back to XP SP1a (NSP).

Problem: After a complete system via the original recovery CD restore, Windows Update is running * extremely * slowly, or not at all, once it gets to the point where it scans for updates you need. So far, I've managed to get 1 downloaded an update, a little. As an update is attempted usage of the processor reaches a maximum at 100% and stay there until I abandon and hard restarts, since the machine is now almost useless and lazy point appear frozen.

Tried to: applied manually different updates downloaded directly from Microsoft, such as Internet Explorer 6 sp1, XP SP2 (DK), various updates and patches for XP downloaded and checked/tried to reinstall the drivers of Toshiba (they are updated). Verify that the systems boots properly with all recognized devices. Check the system clock. Searched the Toshiba KB, searched the Internet, searched the Toshiba support forum. Pulls hair in desperation. I have to have restored the system 4times intant to try different ways of patching the system with updates.

Special features: It is apparently * only * updated Windows, what causes this problem, and that after the first few, where he updates the Windows Update engine in Internet Explorer. Before that I'm trying to update the machine apparently functioning normally. I can surf, download, install and run programs and what not. (No, I did not visit suspicious websites.) If Windows Update runs automatically in the background / 'in the status bar', the same thing is happening: Machine suddenly becomes useless and stays that way.

The machine is on a local network behind one bulletproof OpenBSD firewall, no other Windows machines inside, so there is no chance of a quick infection of the network at the origin of the problem.

Unfortunately: Manually download and apply the patches aren't an option I want to activate the automatic updates before you return the machine back to its owner.

Hope some of you might have an answer to this one, because I have never known or heard of something similar before.

    Frank.

    Hello

  • Help: Problem updating BIOS

I don't know much about computers, but I don't know that it is good to make sure that they are kept up-to-date. So I decided I was going to look into that, I should try to update. I've updated a few things, but then I fell on the BIOS. I found the HP guide on finding what current version is already on my computer (Insyde F.12, 04/09/2012) and then reviewed to ensure whether there was the updated version.

Here is the list that came under my computer BIOS information.

It appears as if there was a 5 BIOS updates. My computer meets the system requirements for the most updated version, but every time I tried to download it says "BIOS HP environment does not exist. Please insert a USB flash drive into a USB port on the PC to create the USB STICK recovery HP BIOS that could be used to recover another PC HP. »

I plugged in my flash drive, did all the steps, and then it appeared.

I turned off my computer laptop, plugged the flash drive, turned back on and it remained blank for 30 seconds and there was no flashing of the led. Just in case I checked and my BIOS is always the same.

Please help me with this and understand that I don't know much about computers, so try to keep minimal jargon or explain.

    Thank you.

Thank you to offer assistance, but I actually understood the reason why it did not work. As I said there have been 5 different updated since my version rather than simply jump on the BIOS updated so I had to do each one individually.

I have a new install of Windows 7, that has never had office 2007 is installed. I have office 2010 installed. When I go to Windows Update it shows 8-10 different updates Office 2007 listed as important. Including the installation of Office 2007 SP2, which I certianly don't need. I know that I don't have to install, but it bothers me that they make their appearance and could in fact be necessary, even if I try hard to understand why.

  • Silverlight continues to show an update even if I select never show this update again. Please fix this or tell me how

Automatic updates continues to display Silverlight as optional updates. I never check see the this update again as I do for other junk, but only Silverlight continue to appear with each update.

What is the exact number of KB of the Silverlight update you want to hide?

It would be possible that you hide different updates of Silverlight that are appearing instead of the same again and again.  If so and you wish not to receive updates to Silverlight, period, you will have to keep hiding them until they cease to appear.

  • I need all the updates that are contained in Add/Remove programs

    original title: Add Remove programs?

Because I watch the programs installed, I see many, many different update Service updates etc. for Windows XP and IE 8.  Do I need these old programs (a 2007 date)?

most of them refer or deduct to microsoft is required by your computer, even if are old to you but not old for xp.  XP came out in the early 2000s.  so the 2007 updates are not old for xp.

In addition, remember that microsoft supports more xp.  However, on rare occasions they might 'could' predict a significant update xp now adays.

so nothing uninstall it from your computer to microsoft because the system may become unstable.  and when windows becomes unstable, there is nothing worse than trying to correct it and think "I should have left well enough alone.

Incidentally, if you run low disk space then I suggest strongly to buy another blank hard drive in a computer store and install it in your computer.

all computers can accept and manage two hard drives.  the main hard drive is known as the 'master' disc and the second hard drive would be called the "slave disk".

After installing a new hard drive, then you can move all of your documents, photos and personal files from your drive currently overcrowded c.

  • Service Pack update and problems w / IE

I got a notification of update of the week last for a new service pack.  It took hours to update and when it was finally over I had the latest version (I think) of Internet Explorer.  Since the update, I had any other problems.  Error messages are constantly upward (Internet Explorer does not work - or something like that), some Web sites (e.g., Pogo) rise in blocks or stop completely.  How do I either fix this or uninstall this service pack for me where I was.  I was starting to not be able to go to some sites because of IE not updated, but it was much better than this!

Windows Vista has not had a new service pack in more than three years.  Service Packs do not have (historically) come bundled with new versions of Internet Explorer.  That's the different updates.

    Hello

Thank you for your update on the issue.

I'm sorry for my late reply. Basically, the website auto detects your Windows 7 architecture and download the appropriate version of the driver. You can also check the properties of the architecture of your system and check with driver version to download from the Web site.

Another way around the problem is that, as the webcam works perfectly with Windows Vista, you can download and install the version of the Windows Vista-compatible driver and run the program in compatibility mode as shown in the following link.

  • d5200t NE504AV-ABA HP Update Installation cancelled

Verifying weekly automatic updates of HP software on my d5200t, he offered several updates for the past few weeks that always communicate Installation cancelled if I try to install them - including the update that was supposed to solve the problem of cancelled Installation.  He just offered me seven different updates. I chose only the two that seemed relevant to the problem of HP software updates, since others cannot install the last few times I tried them.  These two also reported canceled Installation.  Really must my computer model the other updates?  If not, is there a way to exclude them from future controls the necessary updates?

Note - I do NOT get the same list of updates required if I manually start checking the necessary updates. rarely one for this method.

    I'm using 64-bit Vista Home Premium SP1.

I'll have to wait at least a week to determine if it also corrects the problem of automatic start of the HP Update program
