Difficult to uninstall some PC games

Hello world. I want to reduce the computer area, and one of my games, Star Wars Battlefront 2 takes over 12 gigabytes of memory! I tried to uninstall this game using Add / Remove Programs, but I got this error message when I clicked on delete:

pAPP: Star Wars Battlefront II

PVENDOR:LucasArts

PGUID:3 D 374523-FEDCO-461 A - 827TH - 2A102E2AB365

$11.0.0.28844

@Windows XP Service Pack 3 (2600) BT_OTHER 232,64

Please tell me what to do!

Sometimes the pieces get uninstalled when do updates or installs or uninstalls.  So, I find that sometimes one must reinstall it to uninstall.  Note, after some reading... Make sure you have at hand product key, it looks like it could be necessary. --

  • Pavilion laptop: Preloaded uninstall Wild Tangent games

Polar Golfer in the preloaded games has a Trojan horse.

After paying a professional ($140) to remove all the preloaded HP games Wild Tangent, the computer seems to be fine.  Now, Ute, Security Essentials detected another Trojan horse which is in Polar Golfer.

None of the preloaded Wild Tangent games appear on my list of programs and are not detected by re ro uninstaller.

However when I open the folder of the games all the preloaded games are listed by name next to identical icons with white background that don't open when I click on them.  This moves the white icon in the center of the screen.

Some piece of Polar Golfer must be hiding somewhere.  Security Essentials prevents find the Trojan horse, quarantine it and then withdraw only to repeat the process again and again.  I keep getting an error message on Security Essentials which indicates that the file size is too large and that it cannot be saved.

I got the following information on the internet, but do not know if it will help or what to do with it.

The full command line to uninstall for Polar Golfer at HP (remove only) is "C:\Archivos programa\WildTangent\Apps\GameChannel\Games\97EC74F4-592F-4CA5-B9E4-EBEB2887D797\Uninstall.exe. Main executable file of the application is called golf.exe and it has a size of 752,00 KB (770048 bytes).

Microsoft has no information on the Trojan horse: WIN32 / Dynamer! KT so apparently Security Essentials knows something Microsoft does not work.

When I run the function delete on Security Essentials, he hangs up and does not end.  For these last two days Security Essentials has begun the process of withdrawal in itself 4 times.  Also even if Security Essentials tells me on 2 of these departures the Trojan horse has been quarantined, it does not appear in the quarantine of the history section.

If someone can explain to me just how to solve this, I'd appreciate it.

    Hello

Why you n t use the Restore tool of the Windows system that would help you to define the operating system back to the point of time at the beginning?

I guess you deleted the sound/sound driver software and the System Restore tool should help you recover this software.

Go to start - all programs - Accessories - System Tools - System Restore
Then, select choose a different restore point. A choice, a restore point dialog box appears. Choose a restore point and click Next.

  • Yoga 11 t off in some 3d games, but only on the battery!

I got my 11 s Yoga for less than a week, and I love it, except for a strange problem. When I am running some 3D games (only when the battery), the computer turns off suddenly without warning. If I'm hip, so this seems not to happen. I am able to run 3DMark all the way through without accident and the edge of the mirror and Awesomenauts work fine. However, some games such as Trine 2 and Microsoft Mahjong 3d causes this failure occurs.

So far I've tried: update the graphics driver to the latest version (from Intel), update (from the Lenovo site) chipset driver, update driver Intel Rapid Storage Technology (extract from the Lenovo site). I've also updated the Lenovo energy management driver. I tried tweaking the various parameters of the plan power as well, but I'm stumped. Sounds like an overheating issue, but why only some games and only if a battery?
I'd like pointers to solve this. I love this laptop if not, up to now.

    * update * the same thing happens with Dead Space 3. Set of graphics at the lowest, and vsync is turned on. Laptop turns off with zero warning on the battery. Seems to work fine when it is plugged. Are the fans not used to their full potential when the laptop is on battery? Anyone with ideas?

I think I solved the problem. After additional observation, it seemed that the fan was never get activated at full speed on battery, as it was when it is plugged. Logically, this would lead to overheating. I downloaded the latest driver for the "Intel Platform and thermal dynamic framework ' of the site Web of Lenovo, which seems to have solved the problem! I seem to be able to run Dead Space 3, Microsoft Mahjong and Trine 2 battery all the time. I will test more extensively and post a confirmation later.

I hope this might help someone else, if someone runs into the same problem.

On the driver for the 11s Yoga download page, look for "Intel DPTF Driver".

So, when you try to uninstall JRE 6 Update 22 he actually says, "You can't", and this is the error?

    Try using Revo Uninstaller (free version or use the trial to full)<- i="" recommend="" the="" latter="" in="" your="" case)="" to="" remove="" the="" previous="" versions="" of="" java. ="" if="" you="" use="" the="" trial="" of="" the="" full="" version,="" let="" it="" find="" all="" the="" leftovers="" and="" remove="" those="" as="">

    Reset.

You can uninstall Revo Uninstaller via Add / Remove Programs (Control Panel) If you wish.

Download the 32-bit version of JRE 6 Update 29 by (Windows 7, XP (32 bit) offline) and save it to your desktop.  Double-click on it to run / install it.  Restart the computer.

What version of Internet Explorer you have (IE6, IE7 or IE8?)  You need at least v7 (or v8) in order to be able to now use POGO.

You have Mozilla Firefox installed as well?  If not - you can consider its installation and try to use it (v8 is always the latest version.)

Although I think that JRE6 update 22 would work in this case.

Just to make sure that your system is not useless...

    Search for malware:

Download, install, execute, update and perform analyses complete system with the two following applications:

Remove anything they find.  Reboot when necessary.  (You can uninstall one or both when finished.)

Search online with eSet Online Scanner.

The less you have to run all the time, most things you want to run will perform:

Use Autoruns to understand this all starts when your computer's / when you log in.  Look for whatever it is you do not know using Google (or ask here.)  You can hopefully figure out if there are things from when your computer does (or connect) you don't not need and then configure them (through their own built-in mechanisms is the preferred method) so they do not - start using your resources without reason.

You can download and use Process Explorer to see exactly what is taking your time processor/CPU and memory.  This can help you to identify applications that you might want to consider alternatives for and get rid of all together.

Do a house cleaning and the dust of this hard drive:

You can free up disk space (will also help get rid of the things that you do not use) through the following steps:

Windows XP should take between 4.5 and 9 GB * with * an Office suite, editing Photo software, alternative Internet browser (s), various Internet plugins and a host of other things installed.

You can disable hibernation if it is enabled and you do not...

When you Hibernate your computer, Windows saves the contents of the system memory in the hiberfil.sys file. As a result, the size of the hiberfil.sys file will always be equal to the amount of physical memory in your system. If you don't use the Hibernate feature and want to reclaim the space used by Windows for the hiberfil.sys file, perform the following steps:

-Start the Control Panel Power Options applet (go to start, settings, Control Panel, and then click Power Options).
-Select the Hibernate tab, uncheck "Activate the hibernation", and then click OK. Although you might think otherwise, selecting never under "Hibernate" option on the power management tab does not delete the hiberfil.sys file.
-Windows remove the "Hibernate" option on the power management tab and delete the hiberfil.sys file.

You can control the amount of space your system restore can use...

    1. Click Start, right click my computer and then click Properties.
    2. click on the System Restore tab.
    3. highlight one of your readers (or C: If you only) and click on the button "settings".
4 change the percentage of disk space you want to allow... I suggest moving the slider until you have about 1 GB (1024 MB or close to that...)
    5. click on OK. Then click OK again.

You can control the amount of space used may or may not temporary Internet files...

Empty the temporary Internet files and reduce the size, that it stores a size between 64 MB and 128 MB...

-Open a copy of Microsoft Internet Explorer.
    -Select TOOLS - Internet Options.
-On the general tab in the section 'Temporary Internet files', follow these steps:
-Click on 'Delete the Cookies' (click OK)
-Click on "Settings" and change the "amount of disk space to use: ' something between 64 MB and 128 MB. (There may be many more now.)
    -Click OK.
-Click on 'Delete files', then select "Delete all offline content" (the box), and then click OK. (If you had a LOT, it can take 2 to 10 minutes or more).
-Once it's done, click OK, close Internet Explorer, open Internet Explorer.

You can use an application that scans your system for the log files and temporary files and use it to get rid of those who:
