  I'm not sure I've come tro the right place that my post is not really computer related, but I will ask my question in any case.

  I tried to download the display drivers for my C55 - A Satellite for the past 3 days, the download happens to between 10 and 15% done then stops just I don't know if it's the Toshiba site, my pc or my internet I tried several times during that period of time, and each time the same thing happens.

  An ewlse had this problem with the Toshiba site. If I'm in the right place to post this comment, please direct me to why I should post.

  I bought the laptop P300D-20U, I installed windows XP on it.
  But now I can not install the driver to display on it.

  I downloaded from this site (it's the only display driver for this laptop).
  When I install and restart, Catalyst Control Center to write me that it do not display driver support and don't launch.
  Windows loads in resolution 640 x 480 and 4-bit color.

  When I'm changing resolution or color apears black screen and nothing happens, in 20 sec it cancels.
  I tried different drivers from ati.com but nothing works :(

  Satellite P300D-20U belongs to the PSPDCE series and I think that it was equipped with the chip graphics ATI Mobility Radeon HD 3470 (M82XT).

  Did you choose this series in the form of European driver of Toshiba?

  I see the Display Driver for Win XP v 8.477.

  If you can not install using the setup.exe, then you should try to install this driver in Device Manager.
  Mark (possibly marked with yellow exclamation) graphics card then choose put up-to-date driver, use the Advanced installation procedure, point to the driver files downloaded from the Toshiba page and apply.

  I recently bought a Satellite A505-S6986 that has a NVIDIA GeForce GT 230 M graphics card. Unfortunately I have to downgrade my Windows7 XP OS for my work. I tried to download the drivers for the Geforce 200 m (and others) series manually, the automatic detection tool and read the countless forums without success.

  Can you please help me locate THE display drivers that will install successfully on my system? (I don't mind if they are legacy/old).

  I think it might be a little difficult to get a display driver for XP and this graphics card. The fact is that Windows XP is old and the past. No support, there is more to the new laptops.

  I think the only option is the original nVidia Driver but these drivers are not pre-tested on your laptop and doesn t have protection against overheating. He could destroy your graphics card.

  In your case, I would like to install Windows 7. If you use the Ultimate edition is there a XP virtualization mode where you can run older applications.

  I checked Toshiba driver download page and you have written for Windows 7 64-bit, a driver is available. I n t have A500D before me so that I can t test it, but usually Windows 7 drivers also work on Vista 64 bit, because they are very similar. In your case, I would like to try the 64 bit Windows 7 driver.

  It s not a good idea, install all the drivers, you can find. This could confuse the operating system and cause these errors.

  Usually the drivers supplied on the Toshiba page are always working. For the moment, I would recommend removing all display drivers that you have installed now (you can do it in safe mode). Then, restart your computer (also in safe mode) and run a registry cleaner like CCleaner to remove old registry keys. Restart again and now install the latest Toshiba display driver for your model.

  I m wondering that you have installed Windows 7 on this good old classic. In my opinion Windows XP would be the best choice, but ok, you can do what you want ;)

  I put t know where found this answer, but I agree with it. In my opinion Windows XP seems to be the best choice in old enough Satellite L10.

  In any case, if Intel doesn't provide new drivers Windows 7 for this chipset, it s not a Toshiba error. You can only try the Vista driver because most Vista drivers work on Windows 7.

  First: Check the version you are using. What is Windows XP with SP2? If you have not got the version SP2 here you can download this service pack

  I have a HP Pavilion dv6-6002sa Entertainment Notebook PC - product number: LK960EA #ABU.

  I had problems with my amd display drivers. According to me, looking at online the characteristics of my graphics card is an AMD radeon HD 6740 M that I don't have a display driver for. However I also have an AMD M880G with ATI Mobility Radeon HD 4250 display driver.

  I don't have any parameters on AMD Catalyst Control Center. I tried to download the latest versions of HD 6740 M from the AMD website, using their Autodetect program. However, it detects the graphics card as the 4250. I'm sure that when I got to my laptop I had the 6740M. The only way I can get a driver now because it's in the Manager of devices but I'm not 100%, it works when I install it even. If I uninstall the driver of 4250 display that it seems that my PC is integrated graphics, but I'm not sure on this and quickly windows updates the 4250 driver and I'm back to where I was.

  I think that this issue is causing my laptop at the start to have a black screen before a few minutes before the opening session and after logon, even if still once, I'm not too sure. I did a scan for malware to if that was the problem, and I looked at event viewer to see if there is anything that could cause problems. I have a warning about a USB driver and Bluetooth drivers does not. I can't identify which USB it's driver and I have turned off the Bluetooth. Also some errors occur also, but to my knowledge (which is not huge), they cause no problems (maybe put apart from the "homegroup service' which does not load, but I managed to get rid of this error a few weeks ago.)

  I tried to uninstall all the stuff AMD then install again using HP driver manager. This seemed to have no effect.

  Any help on this would be great, I've tried everything I can think of, and I am at a loss.

  It's your laptop switchable graphics with a computer?

  If it is so, it will make a world of difference in the way that access you the video graphics cards and the installation of the drivers. Install the AMD driver HP softpaq update only. It has drivers for two video graphics solutions. they do not need to be installed separately. If you actuall try to install separately, switchable graphics service will stop working.
