• Urgent problem! Help, please. digitizer high-speed, too long channel switching time!

  Dear all experts of digitizer high-speed OR:

  I have a question about the two channel configuration using NI5154 digitizer (see need help to set up an acquisition of two channels using NI5154).

  As we need to make a measurement with NI5154 purchase very soon so a suggested by Efrain such DAQ card is not an option for our next experience. So, I'm trying to configure the NI5154 acquisition of two channels. I have set up the NI5154 to count impulses to both channels. Our experimental set-up will send impulses to channel 0 to 400 ms, then stop. 100 ms later pulses from another source will be sent on the channel 1 to 2 s.  I thought that the dead time of 100ms in our configuration would be long enough for the digitizer switch between channel 0 channel 1. But after some testing, I found that the digitizer takes longer to switch between channels.

  I did a test vi (NISCOPE - Timing.vi) just for the ms count how much it takes to the digitizer switch between channels. In the vi attached, if you run only one channel for a loop takes about 20 ms in my pc. If you run for the two channels, there are about 130 ms for a single loop. If you run a dual channel from the time of the loop is about 40 ms (I mean stop a channel and then re-run the channel).

  I don't understand why it takes so long to switch from channel 0 channel 1.  As I have tested the niScope Commit.vi consumes a lot of time for the second string. Is it possible to avoid this? We cannot extend the time-out for a long time of 100ms of series up so I have to get rid of this problem.

  
  

• Help with bleeding & Trims by card ad

  I'm still at the stage of using InDesign new user. I created a lot of ads before, but models are always already set for me. I need to change the bleed and trim for a new ad, using the specifications magazines. This is what they gave me, and I'm just a little confused on how to implement. I don't know if I start with the page 8.5 x 11 standard.

  Full Page: 7,125 "10,125 x"

  Purge: 8.375 "x 11,125"

  Garnish: 8.125 "x 10,875"

  Any help would be appreciated. Thank you!

  It's a weird spec, but I interpret it as meaning that the size of the page the value 8.125 x 10.875 and ajouter.125 bleed on all four sides. Set the top and bottom margins a.375 and le.5 left and right in and use these guides as the "security zone."  Another interpretation could be that the 7,125 x 10.125 size is what you would use for an addition that is not intended to bleed. You should call them and ask for clarification.

• InDesign CS4: need help seting for printing or printing full bleed.

  I do not know how to address this concern or if it will make sence. I am currently working on a portfolio advertising student and I need to print it with bleed, all is placed on one 8.5 x 11 pages and many items such as images and just design layout contains images to the edge of the page for better design effect.

  I test printed from Indesign, converted into a PDF file and printed test and I still get white residents, and some work gets stretched or cut off by residents.

  Can some help please, I did some reserch and they say that the printer is maybe not able to print the bleed, but I don't want to go to a Kinkos or staples that could have printers that can and ask them to say it is not the type of file, its open don't not or the settings need to be adjusted and they cannot do so away and os suite.

  All I wan't is to print my 6 pages of color and bleed without white boarders and thresholds. I know Staples can poen PDF files, how should be my setup page and or printing?

  Unless you use a photo printer with abilities from edge to edge, the print you full page is to add an indemnity from bleeding to the file, expand art past the edge of the moulding of the page, printing on a larger sheet of paper and gut off the coast of the extra.

  If you go back into the document format and "show more options" If the background settings lost are not visible. Add to the moins.125 inch or 3mm all around like the purge, which will put a red line refernce outside of the page for you. On the page of the document go beyond everything that touches the edge on the red line.

  Export to PDF and in the marks and bleeds section check the box 'use background settings lost document' and also check for crop marks. You must increase the offset value for cultures at least the same value as compensation to purge so that they fall completely outside the substantive area lost.

• Help of digitizer Lenovo Thinkpad Yoga S1

  OK, so I just got a thinkpad yoga S1. The that I had was the one without the digitizer pen automatically installed in the side of the computer. The pen came separately and it is the same as that exact one used with the version that comes with the pen. I do not know the product code or even what her name. Which driver should I install and how can I register the product? Also, because the version I have has as a black spot where the digitizer normally goes is there a way I can get out and be able to accommodate the supplied stylus separately?

  I think that there are two options, that it is either the stylus or it doesn't. Who does not have integrated pen does not support the feather because of the used Panel. That's what I remember when I was doing research in this unit.

  I created a 8.5 x 11 file in illustrator with a bleeding .25inch on all sides and saved as a PDF for printing, but there is still a white border on the edges of the paper.

  Very little focus on the toner to printers can print edge on board. That's why when you print on a sheet of 8.5 "x 11" ", even if you print to the edge, you'll probably find up to 0.25" white margin around the page. " There is nothing that you can do directly about it.

  This is exactly why FedEx desktop recommended print on 11 "x 17" that would have allowed the full 9 "x11.5" surface printing, including bleed, to print on the sheet and you to adjust well to 8.5 'x 11' with printing to the edge via purging through your design. "

  Preparation of the same page? Confirm the bleeds and trim on four sides. It gives the latitude of publication for the placement of left or right hand.

• Need help with resizing and adding bleed to PDF

  Hey guys, I have a pdf file that is a size 6.5 x 8.357 bleed in and the editor wants the following:

  Cutting of the Page (including the purge) size: 7 5/8 (7.625) X 9 1/2

  Top, bottom, outside edge border purge: 1/4 "

  Inside the border of purge (spine): 3/8 "(. 3750)

  Reduce the Page size: 7 "X 9"

  Size of the work: located in a 7 "x 9" cut the page, it should be 3 / 16 "(. 1875) white border on the left outside or outside right side and 5/16" (. 3125) inside the border edge (spine).  Top and bottom borders of edge will be proportional (they will end up more large I think).

  So basically the original file will float in the middle of her bleeding listed above. Y at - it an easy way to do this in Adobe Acrobat Pro, or that I have to (finally) learn how to use InDesign?

  Although there is some capacity to enlarge pages and set the space around the page boxes in Acrobat 9 or X Pro, you really want to do in InDesign.

• Help!  I forgot enable bleeding

  Printer comes to inform me that I had to do my paper "1/8 larger to allow bleeding.  So it is not a problem to make the larger document, but how the hell do I do this withou refocus all single text and object?  The document is 168 pages!  With many objects and text boxes.  Is there a quick way to do this without hours of work?

  It is a personal choice - I found that all the scanners that I was including printer/scanner/fax combo devices have been very well - more great key use sRGB and DPI settings

• Spare part Portege M930 digitizer pen

  I'm having a little difficulty finding replacement/pens digitizer replacement for my Portege M930 - I still have the pen that comes with it, but I've been known to lose this kind of thing, so I want to be ready for the inevitable and know where I can get spare parts before I'm stuck without one!

  Please note that I'm only after the pen supplied with the M930-l am aware l can use wacom pens or other digitizer pens but I want really the same thing, as I have so it will still fit into the laptop, as soon as the pen must remain separate I lose them all the time and $ 30-40 a pop that will become expensive quickly! I have looked through the manual and cannot find a reference for her number, nor has google found a lot of use.

  I guess if you want to use exactly the same pen that has been delivered with the Portege M930, you should contact Toshiba service provider authorized in your country. The service guys should be able to order this part (if available) directly from the main warehouse of Toshiba

• Envy 15 K2T37AV: Replace digitizer for Envy 15-Instructions and void the warranty?

  I dropped my computer a few days ago from cracking of the digitizer, but not the LCD screen. The display still works, and I'm debating whether to pay to fix it or just do it myself or ask at a local store to do. My questions are:

  (1) do I have to dissect your laptop to replace the digitizer, or y at - it a simple way to just pull the digitizer off the LCD display and replace it?

  (2) in doing so void my warranty? Especially if I don't really have to unscrew anything, and given that the display is not covered by the warranty anyway, if it voids the warranty on everything else?

  (3) if I go with it, what is the model number of the digitizer and are there instructions I could follow?
