  Microsoft, I downloaded several .themepack files.  I have Windows 7 Home Premium (32 bit), and it does not recognize the files.  In other words, when I click on the files, they do not open and install.

  1. Press the Windows key + R > type regedit and press enter
  2. Go to HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\FileExts\.themepack
  3. Make sure that there is no key UserChoice (subfolder)

  You can always store as .ai files and should. But create a PDF file for the feature of the combine. Just to be sure, have you tried to open a .ai file in Acrobat (not combine) and doing a job?   As far as I know, your Intel 945GM should support DirectX 9 and because you have XP sp3, you must have at least DirectX 9 installed.

  I have since determeined the problem comes from an updated codec package I installed a few weeks ago. These codecs were from Shark007 which I believe is a Microsoft MVP. Use the codecs from this site for a number of years without any problems so I did not initially suspect it was the source of the problem. I uninstalled the codec pack and installed K-light package and everything seems to be Ok now. Now, I'll be in contact with the members of this forum.
