Disable Mouse touchpad on T41

I can't disable the touchpad mouse. I uncheck 'enable' and click on 'apply' tab UltraNav. The touchpad still works, even after a reboot, and I see that the touchpad mouse shows active.

What can I do?

Thank you

Philippe

I want to disable the touchpad on a laptop Lenovo G530 with XP pro, SP3.
I always use a USB wireless mouse, but while I'm away from striking, the touchpad gets moved or dragged - send me to places that I don't want to be.

I tried the mouse settings in the properties panel of design, uninstall the drivers of synoptic and software Manager (they have just reinstall at startup).

I tried how hard (as usual). Please can someone tell me the simple way?  Thank you

If you have the correct driver installed, Fn + F6 must disable the touchpad.

  • How to DISABLE the touchpad on my laptop to use a mouse instead

I had to reformat my computer Dell Inspiron 1545 (64-bit) and installed Microsoft Office 2010. I have a serious problem when you type in will I suddenly find I type in a place far behind the cursor. I thought that this is because I use a standard mouse operated by hand and not the touchpad in the laptop itself. I am told the only way to solve this problem is to turn off or disable the touchpad when mouse is used.

All efforts to find the way to do this have failed. Can you please specify? Dell has become so elusive and inexplicable, it seems totally oblivious to the real problems associated with this product - a classic case of supplier having lost interest in his clients. All THREE so-called solution have no effect on my keyboard. To the right of F12 key ejects the CD. F3 provides details on the battery and Fn + F1 does nothing - in other words there is no change at all.
I don't think that Dell or Microsoft has an idea of what the problems--and care even less!

  • Auto disable Synaptics Touchpad when USB mouse is connected

    Hello

Someone at - it an idea how to move again the function "Auto Disable Synaptics Touchpad when USB mouse is connected.  I found an old entry in a forum that referenced changing a setting in the registry hex 33, and implied that this would make the OPTION become visible in the mouse settings in the control panel.  But it just seems to disable the touchpad while. So I guess that Synaptics have changed things since this 'solution' was published in 2009, I think. .

I have W7 XPS and version 15.3.22.0 for Synaptics Touchpad driver.

    See you soon

    K.

    SOLVED SOLVED SOLVED!

All - I read through it and many forums and have found no solution. I thought of it on my own, so I'm happy to share with you!

This solution applies to those who do not have a touchpad disable button F button at the top of your keyboard and have the Synaptics driver which does not show the option to disable the touchpad when the external device is present. This also applies to those where the registry key update does not work (because it didn't for me).

    Here is the solution.

    1. go to the Dell site and get the latest driver for your touchpad. Install it.

    2. Once installed, go into c:\program files\synaptics\syntp in your windows Explorer.

    3. open the program called DellTpad.exe (there is also a DellTouchpad.exe called - do not use this one)

    4. Once opened, click on device settings.

5 and here the old box is down! Just click to make it active and it works like a charm.
