Disable the animation full screen by scanning

On my MacBook, I love using the function "drag between apps full screen (with four fingers). Unfortunately the animation slide slows down the whole process. Previously, I used the soft areas that has a parameter to disable this animation. On El Capitan, spaces is not really supported. This is why I would like to know if there is another option to disable this animation.

Go to system-> Trackpad Preferences

Uncheck the "scan between apps fullscreen.

Versions of Firefox 3.6 + have a feature to allow the user to hide the Menu bar.

Press the Alt key to temporarily show the Menu bar, then open view > toolbars and select menu bar, so it has a check mark.

The F10 can also be used on most PCs to temporarily reveal the menu bar.

  • can I disable the close full screen when the volume control on the volume slider?

Information system: HP Pavilion dv7-3065-dx Entertainment PC running Windows 7 Home Premium Service Pack 1

Information problem: whenever I'm viewing in full screen and I change the volume, fullscreen application is minimized and the desktop with pop-up windows volume level indicator

For example: I watch a video in full screen and decide the volume is too low or high. I use the remote control supplied with the PC or the volume above the keyboard slider. Setting the volume level, the movie gets completely minimized and the desktop. Soon after, the volume level indicator appears on the screen. I then have to click on a program to open, and then press the button full screen again... Is it possible that I can disable the process and adjust volume without changing the display?

    Hello

The only way to avoid this is to uninstall HP MediaSmart SmartMenu (listed in programs and features) - this is the utility that is responsible for the OSD volume which in turn, reduces to a minimum the current screen.

  • How can I disable the mode full screen?

I was playing with the settings I just switched from firefox to google chrome and I activated the full screen mode and don't know how to turn off

You can press the F11 key to toggle the mode full screen (Firefox > fullscreen) on or off.

  • Fusion 6 - How can I disable the guest full screen OS tag?

Looks like a new feature of version 6.0 (5.0.3 did not have this behavior) is to display the name of the client operating system in a semi-transparent header for a few seconds when hit swipe on the mode to full-screen.

It's pretty boring, I don't need to see 'Windows 2008 R2 SQL Instance' every time I drag on...

Is it possible to disable this new feature perhaps?

To disable, change your preferences/merger ~/Library/Preferences/VMware file and add:

    fusion.ui.fullscreen.nameBadge = "FALSE".

If you have comments on how it might be less confusing or more useful without removing it completely, please let us know!  We have implemented this feature in response to a number of requests for features of ready resources identify the virtual machines in full screen (including those that are turned off), so that it would be ideal if we could find a middle ground that would keep everyone happy.  Feedback is warmly invited!

  • VMware and rdesktop ubuntu has the same full screen shortcut keys

    Hello

I use vmware to run ubuntu 10.04. I installed vmware player 3.1.

I use rdesktop in ubuntu to access my other machine with windows xp installed.

rdesktop uses 'enter ctrlalt'as a shortcut to turn off the mode or full-screen. Unfortunately vmware also uses the same combination of keys as a shortcut to toggle the mode full-screen for the vmware window.

So, if I start fullscreen rdesktop and try to get back to full screen using the shortcut "ctrlaltenter", vmware starts to switch between mode full screen. And only remaining vestige of the way is to restart vmware to review the ubuntu desktop.

Hope you understand my problem. Is there a way I can disable 'ctrlaltDELETE' in vmware? I couldn't find any other alternative key combination for rdesktop exit full-screen.

    Thank you

    Hi harsh,

    Welcome to the forums.

It seems possible to change the default shortcut via the configuration file of "preferences". Take a look at this thread for more details.

    It will be useful.

  • Problems with the option full screen

I am able to use the option full screen, but it is really not full-screen. It fills just around the top of the window, I am in. I see again my tabs open and menu bar and it's really annoying. I was wondering how to solve this problem. I would like to upload a screenshot, but apparently there is a size limit for images.

Try to rename (or delete) the file xulstore.json in the Firefox profile folder.

You can use this button to go to the Firefox profile folder currently in use:

Start Firefox in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions (Firefox/tools > Modules > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is the cause of the problem.

    • Put yourself in the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/tools > Modules > appearance
    • Do NOT click on the reset button on the startup window Mode safe
  • How to block the warning "full screen".

Hello, I use my browser to watch videos for most of the time, and when I open the video full screen, it gives me a warning that said "Youtube is now in full screen, click ESC to exit" and this warning remains there for about 3-4 seconds. I know that's not much of a problem, but it covers almost half of the screen, so it annoys me. So, I just want to know if there is anything that I can block this warning. Are there?

There should be an option on the message that helps remember the preference for the site. You can also right click on the page, select 'View Page Info' and set the permission to full screen for the site in the "Permissions" tab

Hello ronbn1, while you are on youtube.com, make a right click on a blank spot on the page, go to view page info > permissions and re - activate the approval of full screen in the list.

  • How can I disable the animation when I'm on the home page of Firefox?

I have Firefox as the page start page that appears whenever I run Firefox. But I don't like animations that always appear now that I've upgraded to 29.0.1 for Mac. (The shooting star and the animation of 'space invaders'.) They are distracting. How can I disable the animations?

If you prefer not to see excerpts on the topic: home page, you can set the pref browser.aboutHomeSnippets.updateUrl an empty string on the about: config page.
Delete the storage\moz-safe-about + House in the closed Firefox with Firefox profile folder (Firefox > Quit) remove the snippets stored in IndexedDB and use Firefox default value.

You can use this button to go to the Firefox profile folder currently in use:

    • Help > troubleshooting information > profile directory: see file (Linux: open the directory;) Mac: View in the Finder)

You can reset the browser.aboutHomeSnippets.updateUrl the default pref to reactivate the code snippets.

  • Firefox does not appear in "partial" mode I can't get the display full screen or reduced display, not the intermediate partial screen window.

The 'partial screen' icon does not work. When it is selected, the screen is reduced to the minimum. (Hover displays the text 'restore down', that doesn't look right.)

When the screen is reduced to a minimum, I have to hover over the preview, right - select optimize for any screen at all, and it's the display full screen.

Difficulty? I tried to uninstall/re-install has not fixed the problem.

Hello rclacher, try this to reset the settings of user interface in firefox: go in firefox > help > troubleshooting information, click on file/show profile folder and close all firefox windows later. a windows Explorer window should open upwards - in there remove the file named localstore.rdf - it will be regenerated the next time you launch the browser.

  • What browser opening no longer displays the mode full screen

When I opened my browser, I now only have one quarter of the screen and manually do full screen by right-clicking and selecting full screen.how do I restore it when I open something it shows full screen?

See if it works for you.

I don't have any other browser except Internet Explorer. So I have to use it as an example...

Open Internet Explorer > do not click the button full screen top right > manually use your curosr to expand or drag the window to full screen > exit Internet Explorer > re - open IE.
It opens in mode full screen now?

Do not forget this: window remembers the size of the last time it was opened. If it was opened and closed in fullscreen, it opens in full screen the next time.

Another method which can achieve the same result > if your browser icon is a shortcut.
Right click on your browser shortcut > properties > shortcut at the top tab > in the position to RUN, use the pointer, and then select Maximized > click OK when finished.
It opens in mode full screen now?
