Disable upgrade reminder

I'm tired of the constant reminders to make Firefox better at 19. I have no intention of upgrading because according to reports, I'll lose my Norton Toolbar, and I use it several times a day, at least. I've not peut/will not be upgraded to a version that will be incompatible for the Add - ons, I need. The pop - ups are asking me to 'Update now', or 'Ask Me later.' I don't want to upgrade now, and I won't be requested subsequently. How can I get Firefox to leave me alone?

Please contact Norton, they can help you update your Norton software and make it work with Firefox. It is important to keep Norton and Firefox updated permanently.

The automatic update that was introduced with iOS 8 was trouble for many users. There are many discussions about this on the forums and so far the only solution seems to block a certain address in the firmware of your router to prevent the download of this firmware.

This solution doesn't really work for me, because I charge my phone in different places with different networks Wi - Fi. No matter how many times I remove the update, it downloads always again. Of course, to implement a function that stops this behavior is apparently unintentional. What a smart software which downloads a new file bit matter how many times you remove.

There has been some improvements on the part of apple, reducing the file size of the OTA updates is a step forward. However, with iOS 9, they introduced a function much more disturbing.

iOS wonder every night if I want to install the update during the night, of course the reasonable options are missing again as remind me never. I can only choose the opportunity to remind me later. It's embarrassing because it becomes really annoying interrogated every night.

I can understand that it is a good idea for the inexperienced user to be informed of the updates, but there should be a way to disable simply with. They can include a warning, then it should be good. I don't understand why apple is forcing me to update my phone.

There could be a question as to why I don't want to update my phone. There are new bugs introduced in each version of the software, I used to keep a stable version of each major version of iOS (... 7.x, 8.x, 9.x). Stable in this case means that everything works I use everyday without fail. Because I can't go back to an older version of iOS, I don't want to take the risk of a bug that will not be fixed until a new version is available.

I'd appreciate advice to solve this problem, but I'm afraid that there is not a fix (probably never will be).

Apple does not monitor this forum and they will not read your message here. I suggest that you post your message, which includes some valid points here:

    Hello

What you need to do here first, is to change the way you receive updates. The automatic updates enabled, the operating system will reinstall the guest who is KB3035583 after uninstalling a step we will take in a minute.

    Then follow these steps:

    1. Right-click the icon of the center of the Action on the taskbar and go to "Windows Update".
    2. In the left menu, click on "change settings".
    3. Change automatic updates to "download updates but let me choose whether to install them".
    4. Click "Save Changes", then "Control Panel Home".
    5. Go to "Programs and features" and click on the link "View installed updates".
    6. Copy and paste KB3035583 in the high-field search right and when it appears below, right click and select "Uninstall". It's a great Setup uninstall can last several minutes.
    7. Then restart and then go back to Windows Update again.
    8. Since you now have different parameters of WU, click on the link if there is no waiting for your approval, which will bring you to the menu where you can decide what to install.
    9. If you see KB3035583 in the list, right click and select "hide update". The box you should checkmark to select an update will turn gray and when you exit WU, these files will be sent in the repository called "Restore hidden updates". You can restore the updates that have been hidden there at any time by clicking on the link, make your selection and click "restore".

The next step is to edit a registry that will prevent Windows 10 download and installation.

Press the Windows key + R to start the command run, type: regedit , and then click OK.

    Navigate to: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE--> SOFTWARE--> Microsoft-->--> CurrentVersion--> WindowsUpdate Windows--> AutoUpdate--> OSUpgrade

Click the OSUpgrade key (which looks like a folder), and then in the right pane you should be able to see the four values respectively called:

    AllowOSUpgrade

    KickoffDownload

    KickoffSource

    OSUpgradeInteractive

Part or all of them will have a value of 1. You need to change those to 0 as you see in the screenshot.

To change a registry value, right-click and go to Edit. In the value field below, transform figure 1 0 a

Click OK and Windows will add the 0x00000000 (0) itself.

If it's already a 0 then you don't have to touch it.

In addition, you must create a value. To do this, right-click on an empty part of the right pane, and then choose new DWORD with the name DisableOSUpgrade-->.  Windows will add REG_ DWORD early, after it is created.

If inadvertently, you lose the highlight when you create the new value, right click and select Rename.

Then, right-click of your new value and go to edit. Change the 0 value in a 1 in the value field. Click OK to confirm and exit.

Reboot, then go to Windows updates. You will now be able to install updates 8.1 without being hassled by Windows 10.

    Hi there, ypkkhatri!

Thank you for reaching out by Apple Support communities. After reading your post, I understand that after updating to iOS 10, your iPhone 6 s screen turns on automatically when you pick up the phone or remove it from the charger. I know there has been a lot of changes in functionality with iOS 10, so I really want to help unravel what happens with you!

From the information you have provided us with, what you are experiencing is a new feature called Raise to Wake. Whenever you take your iPhone, the screen turns on automatically in order to check the time or your notifications without having to press the buttons. This is expected behavior, and the screen stays locked when this happens.

Personally, I like this feature a lot, but everyone has their own preferences. If you want to disable the reminder to wake up, you can do this under settings > general > display and brightness, as described here: adjust the display settings on your iPhone, iPad or iPod touch

I also recommend checking out the following site; It will give you more information about the new features of iOS 10 and help you familiarize yourself with all of the changes: for iOS 10 iPhone user Guide

  • continous fax

OfficeJet Pro 8600 keeps trying to send the same fax.  How can I stop it. Disconnected the telephone line, but he keeps trying

    Hello broncoian,

Welcome to the Forums of HP Support!

On the 8600 Officejet continually trying to send a fax, you can try to disable the reminder or do a power reset the printer.

I would firstly reset the power supply. Removed the power from the back of the printer, then on. The other end is plugged into wal taken directly and connect at the end of 60 seconds. Allow the printer to the power upward and see if the fax still tries to send.

If this is the case, try hit the X to cancel the fax, go to the configuration Menu of the printer. Go to the Fax Menu > advanced fax setup > No Answer redial > turn it off.

Let me know if these ideas helped.

  • disable the message to upgrade operating system

Everytime I turn on my iMac, in an hour or two, a message appears saying its time for me to upgrade to the new mac OS b connect to the apple store. Honestly, I need to keep the version of the operating system that I have, because if I update, I'll have to spend a lot of money to purchase new versions of a lot of my work music software. Please tell me how to disable this message. I never want to see him again.

  • Well, it happened again. 40.0 upgrade disabled a bunch of Add-ons including Dashlane. I'll be out of Chrome at least until these problems are resolved.

Upgrading 40.0 off an unusual number of Add-ons. On my browser, they are
    Bing

    NoScript
    Desktop Launcher
    Qualsys browser Check
    Readability
    Skype Click-to-Call
    WebRank SEO Toolbar
    Extension of filtering Webroot

If I understand correctly, I have to communicate with each of the producers asking them to restore their check Firefox Add-on.
Instead, I'll do what I've done in the past and go to Chrome. This deactivation has strongly influenced my browsing experience,
especially for businesses. Firefox is the only browser I have encountered which disables modules and extensions almost all
time, it is updated. I love Firefox but this is getting old. I will seriously consider staying on Chrome.

Two potential problems with 40 Firefox and Add-ons are disabled.

The first is the 'normal' recurring issue where the developer of the defined extension the maxVersion for the commercial version, and Beta is a superior version. IOW, this developer doesn't "support" pre-commercial versions and not a pre-release version such as Beta. Nothing that can be done about it except to use the Release version [currently Firefox 39.0] when using modules that invoke you.
A very limited number of extensions have beta versions available for pre-release versions as beta. and a few even in 'charge' night, WD/Aurora and beta channels.
In addition, if an extension is created with binary components, it must be "transferred" correctly or it is automatically disabled and requires an update to install. Mozilla is very strict with binary components into modules, which some browsers do not allow to be installed at all. Binary components may pose a risk to security, so Mozilla rigor.

The 2nd question can involve the signing of the Extension.
    https://blog.Mozilla.org/addons/2015/02/10/extension-signing-safer-experience/
This could well have been postponed to 41 of Firefox.
    https://wiki.Mozilla.org/addons/Extension_Signing
Currently I'm not under a Beta version on this PC, so I have no first-hand knowledge of what is happening on the beta channel.

Take a look at all: addons and see if any of these disabled extensions see the -signed which is how you can tell if a p [joint extension is signed or not.
For some reason any NoScript seems to be one of a few very popular extensions that are hosted on the Addons.Mozilla.org website which is still "-signed", which surprises me. The only one I on 21 total of extensions which is hosted at AMO which is has not been "updated" for the signature of the Extension for now. Other extensions you mentioned, I do not think are available from AMO and I didn't need them, so I don't know if any of those who have been 'signed' yet or not.

  • I'm not reset firefox just to fix the orange button. Bar menu disabled still no button orange. Have had this problem since upgrade to 20.0

Firefox orange button was missing I upgraded to 20.0. I have installed since the next update as well, still no solution on the orange button. Research suggests to disable the menu bar (which is not a solution for me) I tried this, still no button orange. Another recent development is with the all in one sidebar... The only icons showing are "Display you favorite" and Google Lite. The buttons are still there, just no identifying information; No icon, no text.
I does not reset firefox, to do this, he would need more time I can give. I would switch to Google Chrome, if that's really my only option. I use Firefox 2 years, switching back would be more harmful.

  • After the "new version" download Java 6 times, my plugin check page indicates that he has disabled my 'version outdated' and asks me to upgrade. What do I do?

    Background:
I had this problem for several months now. This problem started when an update came to Java on the Firefox Plugin check. Quickly, I installed the new update of Java. But the Firefox update register that I downloaded, even though I refreshed the page. So, I got rid of the old Java and downloaded again the new Java. When the page has continued to post the same message he had before, I downloaded a few times more. Finally, Firefox stopped to say that I was at day. Then a few weeks later perhaps I check Firefox Plugin, and on the page it says that I'm overwhelmed in Java. So I downloaded Java again. But Java was still in the list, with the red and said that he had to be updated. I restarted the computer. Then I restarted Firefox Mozilla with no Add-ons. When Java appeared still to be updated, I gave up and did not something more on this topic.
    Problem:
Today, I decided to check my plugins. Java was not updating the list, and at the top a banner said, "Missing JAVA? For your security, Firefox has disabled your outdated version of Java. Please install the latest version. "I clicked on"upgrade to the latest version"and was brought to the Java page. I clicked on the download button. My cache indicates that it was this same Java plug-in (see background) download (6). I chose the re - download anyway. But Firefox always insists on the fact that I him have not downloaded.
    Question:
Should I go to the control panel of Java and change something? I have to fix a few settings on Firefox? Should I disable Java entirely, delete all the files related to Java on my computer and start over with Java? What should I do?

Try to use http://ninite.com/java/ninite.exe to install Java. Please note that even if download you it you have to double click it to run and install.

  • How can I disable this next automatic upgrade of 3.6.28 to 11.0?

Recently, he said that I have will be given only once more before the automatic upgrade to 11.0.

Of course, I have no plan to upgrade to the new version that they would not support what im currently doing with 3.6, so I have to disable this update of forcefull somewhere before that happens, or I will be able to cancel once it arrives?

In addition, as im on this question, is there a way to disable those annoying popups ' update now '?

What you run on your computer you need to keep firefox 3.6 for? I could try to help him get to Firefox 11 and still be able to run all your old stuff.

Firefox 3.6 is end of life, Firefox 3.6 is no longer supported, but if you do not need to continue using it, you can read Firefox updated to the latest version to see how to disable the updates in the future. Please remember that this will leave you open to the security vulnerabilities in the future since they are observed.
