Help! My messages have disappeared from my Outlook Express...
Why my e-mail messagess disappeared when I exported from Outlook Express to Microsoft Office Outlook? Is someone can you please tell me how I can recover my mails-em?
Thank you
Vivien
I don't think that is supposed to happen. You will find messages in Outlook? Check the location of message storage and see if the dbx files are there. See also the points 2 and 4 here: www.oehelp.com/OETips.aspx#2

I don't have a toolbar in Outlook Express e-mails.
Because I do not have a toolbar I can not send or forward emails. I have Windows XP. Also, I can't delete the deleted emails or unwanted emails.
[Moved from comments]
You may have a damaged identity especially if it's the default main identity. File | Identities | Add the new identity. Create a new one and try it. If all goes well, you can import your messages and address book from the old identity and delete it.

messages disappeared from Outlook Express (Inbox) e-mail account
Most of my messages "Inbox floder" has simply disappeared from my Outlook Express email. There were some files with images on them that I really want to come back. I want to know if I can get back them on my PC and if so, how could I do.

If you use XP/SP2 or SP3, and are fully patched, then you should have a backup of your dbx files in the Recycle Bin (or possibly the message store), copied as bak files.
To restore a folder bak on the message store folder, first find the location of the message store.
Tools | Options | Maintenance | Store folder will reveal the location of your Outlook Express files. Note the location and navigate on it in Explorer Windows or, copy and paste in start | Run.
In Windows XP, the .dbx files are by default marked as hidden. To view these files in the Solution Explorer, you must enable Show hidden files and folders under start | Control Panel | Folder options | View.
Close OE and in Windows Explorer, click on the dbx to the file missing or empty file, then drag it to the desktop. It can be deleted later once you have successfully restored the bak file. Minimize the message store.
Open OE and, if the folder is missing, create a folder with the * exact * same name as the bak file you want to restore but without the .bak. For example: If the file is Saved.bak, the new folder should be named saved. Open the new folder, and then close OE. If the folder is there, but just empty, continue to the next step.
First of all, check if there is a bak file already in the message. If there is, and you have removed the dbx file, go ahead and rename it in dbx.
If it is not already in the message, open the trash and do a right-click on the file bak for the folder in question and click on restore. Open the message store up and replace the .bak by .dbx file extension. Close the message store and open OE. Messages must be in the folder.

Outlook Express - Spam toolbar
I lost the the spam blocker toolbar in Outlook Express after this last update. How can I get that back? Emails are reported as spam and I can't "unspam" the most!
Outlook Express does not have a toolbar of spam or any kind of spam program. This must be a third-party application that you have installed.

Outlook Express lost the icon on the toolbar buttons
It seems that whenever I play a game on my computer, which I then go back to Outlook Express, and some of the icon buttons are missing. The only way I know to fix is to close and restart. Y at - it a simple way to prevent this.
Delete, send/receive, address and find are the last four that will be missed. They disappear, or if the buttons have become larger and are therefore the missing off the screen? You see him > on the right side? Who let you see them? If this is the case, you see a bug which exists as long that OE and it will be ever fixed.
Close and open OE or grasp the bottom of the toolbar with the cursor. Push-up and then again into the bottom and buttons should be back. Bruce Hagen MS - MVP [Mail]

Hello, I have been using Outlook Express yesterday when exactly a month of emails 'disappeared' from the Inbox. Can I get back them? Where did they go? They are not in the folder removed, tried to restore the trash .bak file too. It happened already, the last time I lost a whole year of emails.

One of the cases registered under disappeared from Outlook Express mail.
Original title: Outlook Express on XP system.
I use Outlook Express on WIN XP system. Recently, one of several under "Saved" mail disappeared (accidentally deleted?) in the list on OE6 files. I checked my HD with Win Explorer and the missing subfolder is always there in C/Doc & Settings/name/Local Settings/object data/identities / {32-char ID} I checked the properties and parameters are the same as all other subfolders and are not hidden.
I tried to import the files using OE6 (file/import / Messages etc) but I get an error message that it cannot access the files because they are either empty (they aren't) or another program is using. The only program that I control which is open is OE6 himself. Although I suspect my part pilot error, I also tried to rename the subfolder on the HD but that did not work.
Another piece of info is that the missing subfolder has both a ".dbx" and a ".bak" hard disk file. It is the only of the subfolders have a file '.bak '. I also have a backup to a flash drive, but he is 6 weeks old and I had a lot of restoration rather the copy on the hard drive because it is updated
Any suggestions?
Thank you

I was checking email as I always did in outlook express, I hit send and receive, and all of a sudden, everything in my Inbox was gone... more than 1,500 messages.
I did not clean up messages or anything like that automatically remove.
There was no progress bar for deletion and deleted items were not in the trash. they have simply disappeared.
That's happened? How can I stop this from happening?
