• Two fingers to scroll and Pinch to Zoom do not work

  Hello. I bought a brand new HP 4-1115dx this morning, and the two fingers to scroll/sleeve to zoom stopped working completely after 15 minutes of use.

  I have twice now uninstalled the driver and re installed from site Web from HP, currently using v16.2.17.0 latest (available for my device).  I went into the settings of the Clickpad, provided two fingers to scroll and pinch to zoom are both checked and entered in the settings/transmission for each of these items and provided all the appropriate scroll options would be checked.  I also watched the synaptics on the toolbar icon, and 'disable gestures' is NOT checked.

  When I turned on the computer for the first time, twofinger scroll and pinch to zoom in when selected by default and "scrolling" (which is a right mouse pad finger scrolling was NOT selected by default.  15 minutes after turning on the new device, I ticked 'scrolling' to see if I liked the right side of the touchpad scrolling better.  I have since failed to get the two fingers to scroll / pinch to zoom out (I've several times switched on / two fingers to scroll and the a finger right side touchpad "scroll".)

  Help, please!  This isn't the end of the world for me, but a feature that does not work after 15 of owning a product makes me nervous for other features do not down the road!

  It could be a problem with the synaptic software.

  Go to control panel and uninstall the synaptic program.

  Start-> Control Panel Type-> uninstaller-> right click and uninstall synaptic.

  If you restart, go ahead.

  Now lift the Recovery Manager

  Go to start-> type of recovery

  You should see the Recovery Manager in the list

  Open the Recovery Manager, and then click on software and driver re install

  Go through the list and find synaptic and reinstall.

  I use Firefox Beta 19 for Android on a mini MK808 PC (but this also applies to other devices when using any kind of keyboard/mouse combo external;) I tried also with a Tablet Motorola XOOM 2 Media Edition with similar results).

  My keyboard is a Logitech K400 with a touchpad. It must scroll the page when we slide down/up with two fingers. The feature does not work in Firefox; Instead, I have to hold the mouse button and drag a finger. The gesture of two-finger scrolling works with Chrome and the browser of stock on this device, this issue should be repairable. It's a little annoying because Firefox is differently from other applications.

  In addition, during this test with another real with a mouse wireless keyboard/mouse combo I found that the mouse scroll wheel does not work. • Laptop of HP 2000: Double finger scroll not working not

  Finger double scroll feature doesn't work on my laptop. Other features of multi-doigt touchpad, as sliding to the left to bring up the start menu, either work is no longer.

  If this is not enough, I would suggest that you uninstall the device (via Device Manager) and software, and then reinstall. You can also run your HP Support Assistant to ensure that all of your drivers and firmware are up to date.

  Finally, I would go into the BIOS on the main tab and press the F9 key to restore the default settings.

• The touchpad scrolling stops working during the AVG scanning

  I had problems with my touchpad scrolling intermittently does not not in Firefox for everything to doing some time-probably at least a year. I've probably tried all the common fixes without result. I found that if I sign out and then sign back in to Windows, scrolling will work perfectly until AVG antivirus does a scan or an update. It will not work again until disconnect me and reconnect. Firefox is the only application that is affected.

  I figured out how to stop the break when an AVG scan starts. It seems that it is the AVG scan notification that appears in the bar of tasks that causes scrolling to stop working. When I disabled the taskbar notifications in AVG, the scans run normally and my scroll continues to operate correctly. So, I guess I don't really fix anything, but found a workaround I can live with that.

  Same problem here, but I found a way to make this work (in fact there are two ways LOL)

  -Remove one of the batteries.  Believe it or not, the scroll wheel works perfectly when I remove one of the battery (any).  However, I do not know how long it will last since there isn't that one battery in operation.

  OR

  -Remove the lid of dough and remove the batteries.  Use a screwdriver to loosen the screw about 2 rounds (for some reason, I think that it is screwed in too tight).  Replace the batteries and you are or that you set.

  I can't guarantee that my methods will still work, but the fact is that it works for me since then.

  I have a HP Pavilion dv5 laptop, purchased abt 1.5 years, OS - Windows Vista Home Basic - service Pack2. These last days, I have a problem.
  Whenever I start my laptop, the touchpad works fine for a while - like 20-30 min and after the error message is displayed "touchpad Synaptics improvements have stopped working" and then scrolling stops working. Rest well all the features of the touchpad work.
  To fix - I tried to reboot, it works but I can not go on restart every 20-30 minutes while working.

  I bought MS Office Wireless comfort 5000 and the scroll wheel works very well in many programs but when I visit my bank online the scroll wheel only works scroll down. So I tried a logitech wireless I had before sunset the office and it works fine on my site of banks. Why this office defines only scroll the mouse down on a particular Web site? No idea before I return it a purchase a logitech set?

  The site is not running in any browser is a stand alone I think javascript type of site, but what intrigues me is the logitech mouse works fine in the site and not by the MS 5000 mouse.

  This issue clarified itself with the two latest updates for Vista and I'm happy to announce that the mouse now works correctly. In the excitement, I forgot to mention that when I got to the office as a whole, the mouse was working ok, it scrolls up and down like a champion. Something needs to happen with a Vista update just before the question because I think remember me that he updated and then I noticed the problem. I'll keep the office install now and make sure that when I noticed something like this again after an update using see and system restore if that works.   I don't have a Dell but, you may need to verify that you have the latest touchpad drivers supported for your PC. For example, see http://www.dell.com/support/article/us/en/19/SLN294988/EN , which is for an E7240 E7440 3340, but it does not "for systems with Windows 7, the latest touchpad driver must be installed. Earlier versions of this driver Windows 7 do not include the directional adjustment'. So maybe it's the case for your E6540?

• Two fingers to scroll is not working - HP Envy x 2

  He stopped all work all of a sudden. Which happened a few times, but the slip of the keyboard screen fix usually, but not this time.

  Went to the Synaptics properties and disabled and re-enabled the scroll option and it still didn't fix it.

  I even uninstalled the pad touch and restarted the couputer thing and it still does not work.

  Have also downloaded the lastes Synaptic drivers and install, but it still does not work.

  Not sure that the problem might be such that it is activated in synaptic properties and should by all means work. Could be hardware, but surely not what im thinking.

  Anyone had this problem before? Signs obvious fix im missing?

  Whatever actually, I thought about it from another forum.

  Had synaptics to uninstall the original menu uninstall on windows, restart and then re install from the Recovery Manager. Works fine now.

  -> In the filter bar, type trackpoint

  • Right-click ui.trackpoint_hack.enabled preference, click Edit and change the value of -1 to 1
  • Click OK

  -> Close Subject: config tab

  • Closing of Firefox (click the Firefox button and click exit)

  Now you should be able to scroll using Trackpoint button and central of the mouse on the Trackpad again.
