Disc does not contain a Windows XP-compatible partition
Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thank you.
Bob
John,
Thanks for the quick response.
Yes, I want to install Win XP.
BIOS - that is the problem.
My excuse is that I had no reason to review the BIOS at least two years, so I wasn't expecting to find a problem. On the main tab on the third master IDE (my disk 0), 32 bits of data transfer [deactivated]! I would have NEVER thought to look there. Probably something that I did, but I don't have possible to chang the BIOS without going there.
There is nothing on the recorded disc.
Following strange problem. Microsoft Setup started installing on disc 2 what haqs data so I stopped immediately it. Why it jumped to another HD when I had selected disk, Partition 1. I did a smart thing, depending on who was to unplug the 2nd & 3rd HD.
Installed perfectly after that.
Sorry for the long note, but thought you might like to know what happeded after your insightful explanation.
Thanks again - I am happy.
Concerning
Bob

the windows boot configuration data file does not contain a valid entry os
Hello
I got this message when recovery... I can't get the windows... I have the CD recovery, but when I boot it... It gives me this message
the windows boot configuration data file does not contain a valid entry os
How do I solve this problemHello
Assuming that it's just a problem with the recovery media, here's another solution, you can try.
Before you try the following, make sure that you can always read the character product activation key 25 on your label Windows COA (5 blocks of 5 alphanumeric games).
An example of a COA label can be seen here.
You can create a Windows 7 installation disc yourself using another PC - just download the good Disk Image ( it must be the same version that originally shipped with your laptop - IE if your laptop comes with Windows 7 Home Premium, that is the file you need to download ) from the link below and use an app like ImgBurn to burn the ISO correctly file on a blank DVD - a guide on the use of ImgBurn to write an ISO on a disc is here. The source of the Image is - Digital River.
Use the disk to perform the installation, enter the activation key of Windows on the label of the COA at the request and once the installation is complete, use ' 'phone Method' described in detail in the link below to activate the operating system -this made method supported by Microsoft and is popular with people who want to just have a new installation of Windows 7 without additional software load normally comes with OEM installations.

All pilots additional and the software you may need are located by entering your full model number or Nr here.

Repeatedly tried to install the upgrade to windows 7 and pure install and get the error message on all partitions available "Setup could not use the existing system partition because it does not contain the required free space. All 3 partitions on a single disk have over 90 GB and separated from the disc more than 65 GB of free space according to the properties of the disk and initial screen during installation. Tried to reformat a partition empty all reinstall Xp sp3 without result. What can I do?
Remove the data cable of all drives except the drive that you want to install Windows 7 on.
Remove all external devices.
Delete all partitions on the disk leave all of the disc as "unallocated".
Boot from the Windows 7 DVD and then install, when you reach the point where it asks you to select a drive, click the "Advanced" option and create a new partition (at least 50 GB) to install Windows and continue with the installation process.

USB flash drive receives an error "volume does not contain a recognized file system" in Windows 7
I plugged my USB on a windows 7. He always invites me to analyze and correct or cancel. I cancelled each time, but I got bored with it popping up each time, so I said to investigate and fix. A loading screen came so I waited patiently. After that it asks me to format my USB flash drive. I can't format it but because I have files from work to home and all my other personal files out there. So I cancelled the format, but every time that I plug it into my computer it asks t format. I even plugged in on a computer running windows XP and wanted to get in shape. When I try to run it without formatting as it is said, "E:\ is not accessible. The volume does not contain a recognized file system. Please make sure that all required file system drivers are loaded and that the volume is not corrupted. "My question is... what we Windows 7 to my USB and how can I recover my data?
This is common with USB drives used on different operating systems. It happens alwaysto me when I use my drive to work (which is managed since my MacBook Pro) on Vista and Windows 7 client computers. Like you, I learned the hard way you must cancel the digitization of Vista/Win7. The only thing to do at this stage is to connect the player to a computer that can read the files OR use the software of data recovery on it to get the files. I believe that Recuva can do it for free. Format the Flash DRIVE, then start again. Either way, you don't want to use a USB key as a single backup of important files because - as you have unfortunately discovered - stuff happens.

I downloaded and tried to install CS6 on my computer after that machine has been upgraded to Windows 10. I get a message that says "serial number is not for the product." The drop-down list does not contain CS6 Design and Web Premium. What should I do to get loaded and enabled on my computer?
That fall down, and the serial number you provide must identify the previous version that you upgraded because CS6 is an upgraded version in your case.

The source does not contain the Image of HP recovery
I am trying to create a bootable USB key with the HP recovery disk creation utility. After having moaned that my 8560w was working on battery power, and that he has no place on a USB stick formatted to FAT32 16 GB, I finished in the next screen that says ""source drive does not contain the Image of HP recovery " which is wrong: D partition is the main, contains the recovery disc." So what? Cannot create a recovery disk? Also note that I have no Recovery Manager (?) and F11 never worked (?). Decision of HP out of the PC business is probably the best thing that can happen to the customers.

A cd of free door preparation with GK Publications does not run on windows 7 Home Basic.
I have buyed a book for the preparation of the door named GK Department with a cd inside, it includes the series of door documents test to practice. But it is to create an error message problem showing that Microsoft.jet.OLEDB.4.0' is not regestered on the local computer. Please sort out the problem as soon as possible.Hi preyashi,
Thanks for posting your question in the Microsoft community forum!
I understand that you are having problems running a program from a CD on your computer. I'll help you solve the problem. To be able to understand the question in a better way, I would like to ask you a few questions.
(1) did you make any changes before the show?
(2) you are able to run the other Setup program on your computer?
Senario 1:
See if it is compatible with Windows 7.
If this isn't the case, you could try installing in compatibility mode for Windows Vista or Windows XP.
If the program is not compatible, then you try to install and run the program in compatibility mode.
Use the following steps:
(1) right click on the program.
(2) click on Properties.
(3) click on the tab compatibility.
(4) select run this program in compatibility mode and select Windows Vista or other operating system, the program has been run successfully.
Check out the link here: make sure to run older programs in this version of Windows
http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows7/make-older-programs-run-in-this-version-of-Windows
If compatibility is not successful, then try and run the program compatibility problems:
1. open the troubleshooting program compatibility Troubleshooter by clicking the Start button.
Then click on Control Panel. In the search box, type troubleshooting, and then click Troubleshooting. Under programs, click on run programs for previous versions of Windows.
2. follow the instructions in the troubleshooting.
If you are unable to install a program, insert the installation disc for the program and, using the Troubleshoot utility, navigate to the program setup file, usually called Setup.exe, Install.exe, or something similar. This utility is not designed to work on programs that have an .msi file name extension.
Senario 2:
The behavior you describe is expected if your application runs in 64-bit mode, all components that use must also be 64-bit. There is no 64-bit Jet OLE DB Provider, so that you get the message as described. You will receive a similar error when you try to connect to a database by using OLE DB or ODBC if there is no 64-bit of the specified OLE DB provider or ODBC driver version.
This problem occurs only in applications that run in 64-bit mode. Compiling the application so that it works only in 32-bit mode is the current best solution.
You may need to contact the manufacturer of the program to find out how to set the path target to x 86.

Bootcamp does not open Setup windows after restart
Hi guys,.
I'm trying to install 10 Windows on my Macbook (early 2015) retina, OS El Capitan 10.11.4. After you mount the ISO on a good USB (a Kingston 64 GB USB Type C) and the partitioning of the hard drive with BootCamp, my mac does not load the Windows installation program - it starts normally as a Mac operating system.
I have already searched similar questions around and tried (without success):
-Format the USB - C mode FAT drive
-MSC reset and NVRAM
Could you please help me with that? I'm quite lost and would need to install Windows on an urgent!
Thanks in advance!
Have you tried to hold the ALT key while it restarts, then click on USB key containing the installer of windows?

No fixed disk present.
So I'm stuck.Any ideas suggestions? Can't see a way past it.
Everyone?Thank you
I assume that you have placed this HARD drive in the laptop, but you have not formatted it.
If you want to install a Win98 HARD drive must contain a FAT or FAT32 file system.
I recommend booting from the Windows XP CD and format. -
Satellite C660 - click Touchpad HR does not contain to save option
Satellite C660 running Windows 7 64-bit OS.
When you click on a photo / image, the HR click context does NOT contain "Save as background" option on the same desktop if Windows 7 training on your desktop change claim that it is how it's done.I ran XP previously and this option was always there,
Any ideas how this can be remedied? And when you open some picture using Windows photo viewer is this option available with the right mouse click on?
By the way: I use the same operating system on my laptop Satellite and this option is available.

Why my printer does not print with Windows 8?
Why my printer does not print with Windows 8?
Did you just upgraded or purchased a new computer with Windows 8, and now you can't get your printer to work? If so, this can help you. Many people have questions about the installation of their printer on a new OS. This will help you answer these questions and make sure you get everything installed.
Before you start
Before you try to install the printer on a Windows 8, you should check to make sure that the printer is compatible with the new OS. The link below will give you a list of printers that will work in Windows 8.
http://support.HP.com/us-en/document/c03168175
If you have upgraded your computer to Windows 8 formed another version of Windows, make sure all software uninstall complete of your printer. It should still print, but to use all the features, you will need to reinstall the software, if available.
Another thing to consider is how you want to connect the printer to the computer.
- USB. You must ensure that you have a USB cable which does not exceed 6 feet (about 2 m). Be sure to connect the printer directly to the computer. Do not use a USB hub.
- Ethernet cable. Make sure you have the network configuration, you have a free cable port on the router, and you have an available Ethernet cable.
- Wireless. You must ensure that you have the configuration of the wireless network, and you have the password of the wireless network.
1. installation Via USB
Installation via USB in Windows 8 became much simpler for users of HP printer. In other versions of the Windows operating system, you need to launch the installation and wait that it asks for the USB connection. If you do not, you will need to uninstall the printer from the devices and printers folder and then launch the installation. In Windows 8, which won't be a problem. If you plug the USB cable from the printer and then install the printer software, work remains. Now for in depth instructions on installing the printer via the USB port click on the link below.
http://support.HP.com/us-en/document/c03521864
2 installation Via an Ethernet network connection
For an Ethernet connected printer, the installation is disconcerting. All you have to do is to connect the printer to the network. Once you have done so, Windows 8 will automatically install the drivers for you. Then, all you have to do is install the rest of the software, if available. It's really as simple as that.

3 installation Via a wireless network connection.
For a wireless printer, network installation is disconcerting. All you have to do is to connect the printer to the network. Once you have done so, Windows 8 will automatically install the drivers for you. Then, all you have to do is install the rest of the software, if available. It is roughly the same as just Wireless Ethernet installation.
http://WWW8.HP.com/us/en/support-drivers.html
Alternative installation methods
With Windows 8, the drivers of many printers are installed with the operating system. These are called pilots InOS, since they come built-in to the operating system. If you have one of these printers, you should have to do simply connect it to the computer via USB, or connect to the network via Ethernet or wireless. Once you have that makes Windows will take care of the rest. There are other methods of installation of your printer if normal methods don't work for some reason any. You can install the printer is using the printer, or through Windows Updates Setup Wizard.
Set printer wizard:

Windows Update:

Note: The drivers of Laserjet for the Asia-Pacific and the Japan will come only at a later date. See below the link support site for the availability of the driver. I will update this post once they become available.
