  Are you preview site in the edge browser? When you preview the page in the browser Muse create a local server to give you the preview in the browser. With the edge browser, there was a reported issue to access the local server.

• I'm unable to use the Live View function when working with JavaScript in Dreamweaver.

  I'm currently trying to set up my own Web site with dreamweaver and am very familiar with the languages Java and JavaScript. However, whenever I try to use the Live View function it never let me. In addition, I can't get a preview of my work in a browser, as to do so is greyed out.

  However, I noticed that when using html in a project, all these functions are available. Any ideas how I can be able to use these features?

  Or perhaps you mean a .jsp file that is a Java Server Page.

  Modern web pages are almost entirely HTML code with CSS for styles and JavaScript for functionality added as games & slideshows or interactive menus.  It does not seem possible for me that you have been creating web pages entirely with JavaScript.

  We have an application where users have access to Discoverer Viewer via a web browser. They are able to save their own workbooks based on existing cabinets, I created in Discoverer Plus.
  
  There seems to be a limit to what they can save well. If they swap columns it is recorded. However the formatting changes that they do not seem to being fat saved, e.g a column or by setting the background color is not preserved.
  
  Is this expected behavior for Discoverer or is there another question?

  I think that this is expected behavior, although I have not tested this point. If you look at the viewer user's Guide, it is said that if you change a spreadsheet (such as elements of data sheet or reposition resort), you can save these changes. Unfortunately, it does not precisely what changes are saved and what cannot be saved. You could save a service request with the support on this and perhaps submit an enhancement request if they say that it works as expected.

• Performance issue with Discoverer Viewer

  I'm working on Version 10.1.2.55.26 of Dicovere Viewer.
  I have a report that opens quite quickly in Discoverer Plus but it takes much longer to open the same in Discoverer Viewer.
  The faster the discoverer is also considerable slow compared to query data forms directly the database.
  
  Where and how can I start optimizing to improve performance?
  How can I check if the latest patches have been applied?
  How to check if the Java version and if it is correct I'm supposed to be using?
  
  Any help would be appreciated.

• Discoverer Viewer doesnot export all sheets in the same workbook?

  In discoverer Viewer, I have a workbook that has 4-5 leaves. I need to export in a single excel workbook.
  I am able to export individual sheets in Excel, but not all in the same Excel workbook.
  
  When I try to export doesnot show me the option to export the entire workbook, as it does in Discoverer Plus.
  Is there a solution for this?

  There is no work around for this in the Viewer. It exports only a single sheet at a time as you have well understood.

  The only tool that can do this is Discoverer Desktop.

  As much as I know this feature is not intended for a future version either so I think you have to do multiple exports.

  The format is correct, you probably forgot something...
  Here is an example of a link:

  the parameter name must be prefixed with "gp_" and the name of the parameter.

  When we place a Logo on a workbook in Discoverer Desktop, it becomes a workbook logo that would not be visible in either more or Viewer.Whereas when we place a Logo in Discoverer Viewer by using Application Server Control(Discoverer_Home_Page).it automaticcay the Logo change in Discoverer Plus also. Is it possible to get the Logo exported in the output (only for the PDF) when we export.

  No, this is not possible. The logos that have been added for more or viewer are not logos workbook but the logos of system that allow you to display your company on the toolbar logo. These are not associated with a workbook and so cannot be exported.

  I know that Desktop has this ability, but Oracle removed this feature when they introduced the web version.

  So far, we have put our customized views of discoverer in our apps schema. The 'monitoring' point of view and from the perspective of 'split views apps Disco', we tend to create a custom schema to place all our custom views of discoverer. I heard that Noetix does as well.
  
  To do this, we intend to provide a select grant for all tables, views, and synonyms (with an execute rights) limited for some packages.
  
  The best thing to do is to continue to do what we are doing. We have a naming in place scheme that allows us to quickly identify all custom views of Disco.
  
  Then I have people who have implemented a scheme customized to their point of view of Disco in apps made me know how it worked for them? This type of environment Disco seems to need a lot of communication between staff of the nightclub and the DBA to ensure that these subsidies are set up correctly.

  All eBS sites I've worked on that have created the majority of their custom views in the scheme of APPS using a naming convention to separate seeded views. The reason is that the SQL in the view (including all function calls) is executed with the privileges of the owner of the view. If the view is defined in another schema, this diagram must have access to objects in database APPS that can be a lot of work to put in place because it is very difficult to identify the dependencies and needlessly opens the security on the APPS schema.

  Where the data in custom tables and there is point of view on these tables custom, then both tables and views are held in a separate schema.

  We use MS Standard 14.0.6123.5001 and OracleBI Discoverer Version 10.1.2.55.26 2010

  When I consider the report in the viewer of his fine, but when I export it shows where he '0' its supposed to be null.

  You can change this way of torque, you can either do this for each workbook or globally for all workbooks.

  1 discoverer liked, open goto report properties, CHANGE worksheet, > TABLE FORMAT (TAB) > left null for SHOW the ACE VALUE NULL

  2 discoverer liked, once you connect goto TOOLS > OPTIONS > SHEET (TAB) > left null for SHOW the ACE VALUE NULL

  3.pref.txt, you can modify the valu preferably in pref.txt to set the null alue for good, it's worth preference "NullValue" entitled NULL to this value and then apply the script preferably.

• Step through a view function

  Hello all, I need to create a function that displays a view and that exports the data in a file with fixed field format. I think I need to step through the view and for each record, extract of each field, rpad at a given length and concatenate the new fields, together in a new record, perhaps dumping each new record in a temporary table and once that is done, export the table to a file. Please let me know if this reasoning seems logical, or is the best approach. Thank you.

  The procedure allows for the header and the data to separate files if necessary. Just by specifying the file name "header" will put the header and the data in a single file.

  Adapt to the exit of styles and different types of data are needed.

• Report Null VS discoverer view show SQL query results.

  I created a simple Cross Tab discoverer of a custom SQL report that has a calculation for sales. The output is to give all null values even if there is a sale. The output does not seem fair. Then I copied the query from tools-> SQL Show and ran the query in the TOAD where I show the balances for the report. I don't understand why it does not show in the discoverer. Help, please.

• Discovers the functionality/design pool review

  Hallo

  Just a quick question about the features of the latest version of View (Horizon View) 5.2

  Why VMware do not create the option to create a pool of type multi-level configuration? Your pool limit is set to 2,000 jobs now, and yet you are limited to the amount of IP addresses available on the subnet / VLAN. Now, with 5.2 view you can now add groups of additional ports in your config file instead of work of several images, or with 1 base image and multiple snapshots or ranging from the simple configuration of subnet / VLAN which means a BIG broadcast area. The network guys will LOVE you for what you.

  The addition of portgroup or subnet option, is still V1 you, so this can be done via the CLI of power.

  My suggestion is to use a "storage DRS" configuration where you have a pool single port of call, void pools including multiple images of base. A pool of sup can then be placed in maintenance mode, modified or updated and then simply pulled back in the pool 'master' for usage.

  Don't forget that this means your VM config must be same etc with the app, because it will be for a call center installation.
