  My laptop is a little older than a year.  A few months ago I bought my first Blu - ray (copyright 2009) movie and it plays well with HP MediaSmart.  A few days ago, I bought my second movie Blu - ray (copyright 2011/2012) and it won't play at all.  "Loading disc, ready to play" messages just keep looping back.  Installed a BIOS update, but made no difference on this issue.  There are two-disc Blu - ray and DVD in the box.  All are pristine, clean, no scratches.  Only the DVD plays.  Checked Support HP for driver updates, but could not give a sense of the descriptions.  I bought the film at the Fred Meyer store in Burlington, WA on April 3, 2012.  The Blu - ray 2009 always plays very well.

  Should which driver I?  Or am I missing something else?  Thank you.

  I'm using Premiere Pro CS4 with Encore CS4. So far, I've always used the DVD and not blu - ray discs and have never had a problem. Now I shoot in full HD and would like to be able to create blu - ray discs in Encore.

  I import into Encore through dynamic links and set my project to blu - ray for PAL 1980 x 1080 25 fps - the same as my original film and first sequence. The drive seems to burn ok, and you can see there is data on the drive. However, the disc is rejected by my sony blu - ray player, and both the blu - ray disc drives in my PC. It keeps telling me that the format is not supported. I tried to decline too 1440 and even 720 and it is indifferent to everything. I took care of the region was correct too - region 2 (because I'm in the United Kingdom).

  I tried to import sequences of very short so that I can watch the process, and I noticed that unlike my DVD discs, blu - ray does not seem to write a "lead-out). It is said that it is complete, but it's almost as if she is not finialise the disc for playback.

  I am so confused and rather frustrated so far! Someone at - it guidance on what may be going wrong here?

  I burned a blu - ray disc and sent to the members of the family in New Zealand. Who can't play TI-no is not recognized. They have a blue-ray player. I understand that Blu - ray is not NTSC or PAL, but there are regional restrictions. What region incorporates the FCP? I can change it to 0 or all regions.  Hello I have this.   I can't answer some of your questions, but...

  To burn a project to the Blu - ray format in the 'Share' Option, I select... "Master File" (not Blu - ray), which produces a .mov file. This is the .mov file what can I import into my Samsung BD burner for treatment.

  Only the UWA-BR100 wireless LAN adapter is supported for use with the Sony BDP-S370 Blu - ray disc drive to connect to a wireless network. Sony has tested the adapter LAN USB UWA BR100 and it is guaranteed to work with the BD player. Adapter USB LAN wireless from other manufacturers may work, but Sony has not tested the and as a result, operations are not guaranteed.

  HP Media Smart seems to have asked on 3-11, so I can only assume it is the latest version. Gawd knows where you fined the version number on it.

  When I put a Blue-ray disc in the smart software HP Medic works very well. I can see and watch the movie. When I try to connect my TV via VGA or HDMI I see that the menus and the HP Media Smart interface. There is just a black screen where the movie should play.

  The thing works very well for a regular DVD via HDMI or VGA... problem seems the disc blue ray only.

  Thoughts?

  Nevermind I got it. There are two ways to fix.

  The TV as the primary monitoring, or extend the desktop to the 2nd monitor.

A few days ago I set up parental controls, by downloading the Netgear Genie app on my PC from Windows desktop, on the router, and now Blue Ray does not connect to the internet. However it connects to the router fine. I have 2 phones Andoriod, 1 tablet of Andoriod, a WII Game Console and your Windows desktop that all connect to the router and the internet very well. I tried shut down the drive several times over 2 days and has been turned off at night twice. I deleted and re - establish the creation of a Wi - Fi connection on the player. I even updated the router. and off the Parental control. all this without any success. The DNS and IP are obtained automatically by the player. Any ideas?

  Hi, couple months ago, I installed windows 7 on my HP Pavilion dv5-1070ew (previously it was pre-installed Vista). I installed the latest version of HP MediaSmart DVD (4.0.3822) downloaded directly from HP.com, but unfortunately, when I'm inserting a disc BLU - RAY it is not played. HP MediaSmart DVD opens and he writes that "the disc is ready to play" (so it is able to see the disc), but when I click on the "Play" button, the monitor starts without flinching for a moment and then nothing happens...

  I have a portable L50-A006 Satellite with a blu - ray player. I put a blu - ray inside player and nothing happens. I can put a DVD in there and I can play, but not a blu - ray player. Am I missing something? When I open file Explorer, that nothing shows up in the D drive and when I click it the drive door opens and asks you a disc inserted although there is a blu - ray inside player. I tried different discs and I can't get a DVD to play.

  Do I need additional software? I tried using VLC and too, it does not recognize blu - ray in the drive.
  Any help appreciated.

  If you click on specifications under ODD is listed DVD SuperMulti Drive so according to this specification is not your computer portable BD player.

• Not play disc Blu - ray 3D OTP-S5100, stuck on the screen indicating the needs a 3D player.

  I just bought a Blu - ray BDP-S5100 3D player.  I have Panasonic 3D plasma TV.  When I tried to play a Blu - ray 3D disc, a blue screen telling me, in several languages, the drive requires a 3D player came and it never happened.  The player plays a normal Blu - ray disc very well.  I have all the other drives 3D or 3D drive (this is my first entry in Blu - ray and 3D), so I can't test to see if the problem is with the drive or disc.  Anyone seen this before?  Is there something I can do to get the drive to read, or is it a fatal error?  Thank you!

  I just realized what is the problem.  My Blu - ray player is passing through my receiver and then goes to my TV.  I guess that prevents the appropriate signal to spend, so the 3D player does not recognize or cannot connect properly to the 3D TV.  I just plugged the S5100 directly to my TV and the 3D disk plays very well.  I used a digital audio coaxial cable the S5100 in my tuner so now I surround again.
