Display a message to suggest opening a website using Firefox
Hello
I want to show a message (possibly with redirect) at the time of loading the home page, which suggests to use Firefox for a better display experience.
Something like that.
You want to see lisanuna.com
in Firefox (recommended) YES - NO
Thank you!
I think you have your confused terms. Your home page is the site you've set up on your computer that is displayed when you open your browser. I assume you mean you want to this message on your website so that when visitors visit your website they have the option of using Firefox, correct?
If this is the case, that is too advanced for this forum, but there are other, forums of web developers that can help you with the display of a message (note that you can do is send users to download Firefox, cannot open a page in a different browser on your Web site). One such site is the Firefox Affiliates program, https://affiliates.mozilla.org

I can't access some websites using Firefox. Pages say "File not found" or in the case of Yahoo and Facebook, they resemble the on-screen text files. No problems with my computer and it is not the case with my browsers IE and Chrome. Already deleted and reinstalled Firefox and it has not solved the problem
You can also do a check of malware with some digitization programs of malicious software on the Windows computer.
Please scan with all programs, because each program detects a different malicious program.
All of these programs have free versions.Make sure that you update each program to get the latest version of their databases before scanning.

How to display a message when users open the form
Hello
l want to display a message when a user opens a form.
The message will explain the shape and if the clik user NOT close the form
Thank you
Stone
You can use this script in the docReady event.
if (xfa.host.messageBox("A message goes here to explain the form","Title for the Message Box", 1, 2) != 4) event.target.closeDoc();
Just be careful, that I was unable to "test" it in LC, I had to save the file and open it in the drive to verify that it worked.

Madasafish webmail new message is not happy when sent using Firefox but ok on Chrome
I have always used Firefox to open my Web of Madasafish email account, but for the last five or six days, I have been unable to send new e-mail messages. I open a new message and type in the content and then send it back but when it gets to the recipient that it contains nothing other than my signature that is automatically added to outgoing messages. I tried to send messages on IE11 - same result in Firefox - no message content; Chrome - entire message arrives; Safari - all message arrives. I don't want to go back to IE11 and I am using Windows 8.1 do not use Safari. I just reinstalled Firefox and Java, but the same thing happens again. Madasafish have not an answer. What has gone wrong?
Firefox Safe mode disables extensions, so you could look at those and see which you can disable or remove for regular use. Open the page modules using either:
- CTRL + SHIFT + a
- "3-bar" menu button (or tools) > Add-ons
In the left column, click Extensions. Then see what you can stop.
Given that the extension of McAfee seems to be one that is the most likely parts of filter or block sites, you could try to simply disable that one and see if that makes a difference.(You may need to do in 'normal' mode if you cannot use the button disable mode without failure).
Safe mode change also a few other things, but extensions are the most critical.

I see others have this problem several times... and we're trying to do all sorts of things to fix. This is one of my mistakes:
This connection is Untrusted
You asked Firefox to connect on www.facebook.com, but we cannot confirm that your connection is secure.
Is it for all. And sometimes a double confirmation to go on the site anyway. Other times it will not let you go to a site just about anything.
So I came here and I realized that it was on my own reading after a few complex corrects those proposed to others who have posted this problem.
Look at the date... not on your phone... on the computer with the problem.
If you guys can make part of the warning mentioned in order to ensure that the date is correct on your computer. Also, it looks like a program connected to the internet with access to the right time wouldn't go the clock of the computer. Or maybe you should check the date in line when this error occurs if the error message can indicate to the user what the problem... or at least let it go to a Web site. Or maybe not even scare the user with a completely fake security warning.
each certificate has an issued date and an expiration date...
You can check that yourself, for example on this page, by clicking on the padlock in the upper left corner of the address bar > more information > Security > view certificate.

Impossible to open some websites using IE (7?).
dv2500_Vista. IE (7?) has recently become impossible to open some Web sites (youtube - never; fb, yahoo - sometimes). It started a few days ago. This applies to all users, some with and without parental control - although there seems to exist a variability between users. Scan (AVG) showed no infection.
You can try to reset the Internet Explorer settings.
Conclusion of any windows IE, you can open it. Go to control panel and click on Internet Options. Click the Advanced tab, and then select reset.
Here is a link that might help.

I can not display all images on the site when I use Firefox
When I go to sites like Facebook, eBay and Netflix, none of the photos that make up the Web site usually can be seen. When I use other browsers such as Chrome or Opera, I don't no problem.
I tried to delete cookies and caches, as well as disabling hardware acceleration. I also tried to start Firefox in safe mode and changing the permissons on websites to view the images. As none of them make a difference, I uninstalled Firefox and reinstalled but there is no change.
This is due to the fact that Opera and Chrome uses a different technology and loads of parts (top-down) and mozila first loading site, and then the text from the image

Block a website using Firefox?
I want to block certain websites to prevent my children to have access to them because they contained porn and gambling
Firefox has no possibility of Embedment for blocking sites.
A few options for you.
- Install the add-on to FoxFilter, the disadvantage is that add-ons are fairly easy to get around - https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/addon/foxfilter/
- An another add-on that can filter content is the ProCon Latte Content Filter - https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/addon/procon-latte/
- Install a free parental control 3rd party as the K9 web protection - program http://www.k9webprotection.com/
- Use the OpenDNS service, there is a free version, and with it, you can filter the content on the categories that you choose - http://www.opendns.com/

How you can display a dialog box when opening a program?
Hello
Does anyone know how to do to have a dialog with a custom message pop up every time that a specific program is open? The computer is running Windows XP Professional 2002 with Service Pack 3. The program is used to operate a scientific instrument that keeps the damage by lab users who disregard the instructions printed around it. Ideally, I could have a pop up dialog that requires users to click on the 'OK' button before the program opens. I have spent some time surfing the web for ideas, but have so far come back empty-handed. The program is generally open from a shortcut on the desktop.
Thank you very much
Jeremy
You can create a small shell script which displays a message first, then open the program once you click OK. Delete your shortcut on the desktop and put a shortcut to this script instead. You can even customize the icon of the shortcut to the script so that we don't see even a difference.
How to run a program from a script:
http://msdn.Microsoft.com/en-us/library/d5fk67ky (v = vs. 84) .aspx
Here is the final code (with the exception of this in Notepad as a type of "vbs" file). It displays the message, and then running the executable program specified in the last line quotes (currently set to run write.exe outside directory windows.
startupMessage = MsgBox ("responsible use of this program.", 0, "Woah there!")
Set WshShell = WScript.CreateObject ("WScript.Shell")
WshShell.Run "%windir%\write.exe". -
my computer is connected to the internet but internet Explorer displays the message "internet explore cannot open the search page.
Hello
1. are you able to use with other applications that connect to the Internet?
2. when exactly you get this error message?
3. should we come up with any specific Web site?
4. what version of Internet Explore do you use?
5. don't you make changes to the computer until the problem occurred?
6. the problem occurs in safe mode with networking?
I suggest you follow the methods listed in order of appearance in the following Microsoft KB article:
How to optimize Internet Explorer:
http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/936213/no
Important: Reset Internet Explorer to its default configuration. This step will disable also any add-ons, plug-ins or toolbars that are installed. Although this solution is fast, it also means that, if you want to use one of these modules in the future, they must be reinstalled.
For your reference: Internet Explorer could not open the Search Page. http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/219004
Hope this information is useful.
