  • Bookmark toolbar suddenly empty ESPECIALLY

I have many favorites in my bookmarks bar. Today I went to delete my history, and then I closed the window. When I opened it, all my favorites on my toolbar disappeared, except for the first 2. They are always there for some reason any. All my favorites always appear in the library, and they claim that they are on the toolbar. If I try to drag it from the section of the toolbar to the toolbar from the library itself, it does not appear. If I add a new bookmark from the toolbar, it appears normally.

    I already checked view-> toolbar-> bookmarks toolbar.

I already checked that the view-> toolbar-> customize-> bookmarks toolbar items is always there.

    Attached there's photos

    No I don't use Add-ons of bookmark.

And bookmarks just got back their own. I don't know why because I did nothing different.

So thanks for trying. My computer hates me just a few days lol

  • Empty FF29 my bookmarks toolbar.

I had a row of bookmarks above my tabs in the previous version.

I'm not really Diggin ' this new UI, so I followed the steps to achieve the classic look, with square on the bottom tabs and the star to bookmark, but at some point during the fight with this hot mess of a customization menu, I dragged my toolbar bookmarks to his home under my nav bar and accidentally back down and to remove from beneath my navigation bar.

I rightclicked in space above my tabs and double checked the bookmarks toolbar option, but all I have now is the black and White Star "Bookmarks" icon in my navigation bar. By clicking on this button sometimes brings up my bookmarks menu and sometimes does nothing. In this menu, listed under Favorites bar, is all of my old favorites, but they will not appear in the toolbar itself. I tried just to recharge my bookmarks toolbar by dragging a tab to the top inside (which is much more difficult if the tabs are on the top, because then it just moves the window), but nothing appears in the toolbar, even if it adds the page in the menu bookmark recently.

I tried to reset the default customization, restart Firefox in safe mode in case there was a few broken add-on, restart the addons, but after much dragging and clicking and coaxing, I still have an empty bookmarks toolbar. I miss my favorites. How to make a comeback?

Well, after a few edits, I discovered this.

There are in fact three things in this hot mess of a customization that focus on bookmarks menu.

    1. "bookmarks" in the Customize menu, it's a star. It puts a toolbar of bookmarks to the top with a black and white icon with the text "Bookmarks" beside it, and clicking on this shows the Menu bookmarks menu drop-down.

    2. "bookmarks" it looks exactly like the first in the Customize menu (one star), but implements a black and white icon without text and clicking on this shows the bookmarks bar.

    3. "Bookmarks Toolbar items" has another icon in the Customize menu and implements all marked pages bookmarked that used to be in my bookmarks toolbar, which is exactly what I wanted.

I think that the Customize menu could use a little refinement, but in the meantime, I hope this helps someone.

  • Is anyone having problems with FF v29 where the bookmarks bar is empty?

In the new version 29, after opening FF, close it, and then re-opening, most of the time, the bookmarks toolbar is empty, even if the option to show it is checked. By turning on the menu it brings back or unchecking it and controlled again he brings. In addition, when this happens, icon menu on the far right will display all the options. What happens to me on the Mavericks of OSX, Windows 7 and Windows 8.

    Hello

Try Firefox Safe mode to see if the problem goes away. Firefox Safe mode is a troubleshooting mode that disables some settings and disables most Add-ons (extensions and themes).

(If you are using an additional theme, place you in default theme.)

If Firefox is open, you can restart in Mode without failure of Firefox in the Help menu by clicking on the restart with the disabled... modules menu item:

If Firefox is not running, you can start Firefox in Mode safe mode as follows:

    • On Windows: Hold down the SHIFT key when you open the desktop Firefox or shortcut in the start menu.
    • On Mac: Hold the option key during the startup of Firefox.
    • On Linux: Exit Firefox, go to your Terminal and run firefox-safe-mode
(you may need to specify the installation path of Firefox for example/usr/lib/firefox)

Once you get the pop-up, simply select "" boot mode safe. "

If the issue is not present in Firefox Safe Mode, your problem is probably caused by an extension, and you need to understand that one. Please follow the section Troubleshooting extensions, themes and problems of hardware acceleration to resolve common Firefox problems to find the cause.

To exit safe mode of Firefox, simply close Firefox and wait a few seconds before you open Firefox for normal use again.

When find you what is causing your problems, please let us know. This might help others with the same problem.

    Thank you.

  • Bookmarks toolbar & bookmarks button drop will work not together how we can solve this problem?

It seems that if you have toolbar bookmarks running the button drop down bookmarks will work or not present with the other buttons even if its there when you customize, but if you turn off your Favorites bar then the bookmarks drop-down button appears, how that we have the bookmarks toolbar and button drop-down bookmarks menu appear at the same time?
I have all my favorite sites on the bookmarks toolbar, but would like to have access to the rest of my favorites through the menu key drop-down for the moment I have to use the upper button left to go to my favorite firefox.

You should see the button Menu bookmarks at the far right of the bookmarks toolbar if the toolbar is visible. You can drag the bookmarks menu button with the marker of fall to the left of the Bookmarks Toolbar items in the bookmarks toolbar if you prefer to see this button on the left side. This BMB button should be on the bookmarks toolbar if the toolbar is visible. Otherwise it will be hidden.

  • I have an empty box on my bookmarks toolbar, I can't get rid of that.

As of today, I have an empty box on my personal bar that I can't get out. It comes after the > > icon where I see more bookmarks, but it is related to the bookmarks toolbar that it disappears when I uncheck this bar. I tried to customize, and I can't move or delete the box.

    Hi James,

I tried what cor - el has suggested, and I found the problem to be the addition of the Page Zoom for me: disabled, and the box went. I was unable to remove the box using the first method cor - el suggested. This issue arose for me today as well, and I had Zoom Page installed for at least a few months, so I don't know what the case. I hope you have the same module installed, cheers!

  • bookmarks are not displayed on the toolbar; toolbar displays, bookmarks in the toolbar folder, but are not displayed

My Favorites bar is the display, but there is nothing showing in it, even though I checked the bookmarks library, and certainly there are bookmarks in that folder (it is not empty). I restarted Firefox, but that did not help.

I turned only the toolbar all the time, but that shouldn't make a difference, right?

Someone has an idea for me?

Make sure the toolbars as the 'personal bar' are visible.

    • Firefox '3-bar' menu button > customize > show/hide toolbars
    • View > toolbars
Press the ALT key, or press F10 to display the Menu bar
    • Right click on empty toolbar space

Open the Customize and set the toolbar to display items.

    • Firefox '3-bar' menu button > customize
    • Make sure the "bookmarks toolbar items" are on the personal bar
    • If "Bookmarks Toolbar items" is not on the bookmarks toolbar, then FRY it in the palette to customize the window customize to the bookmarks toolbar
    • If the missing elements are in the palette to customize then drag them back into the window to customize the toolbar

  • Why 31 FF displays more my bookmarks toolbar items in a toolbar

In FF 30, I can move the items to the 'empty' toolbar bookmarks toolbar and uncheck bookmarks toolbar on the view menu. I pass the URL/address space and looking at the top row, as well as the Bar Menu and the Firefox button orange. The next line is Bookmark Toolbar Items. The next row is my web page tabs. This minimizes space used. I tried to use the bookmarks toolbar, but that leaves about 3.5 mm of unused space. When I updated to v31, I can see the icons when in customize mode, but when I go out to customize it, the bookmarks/links disappear and a pair of > character appears at the far right of the toolbar 'empty '. When I click on > >, the bookmark toolbar items icon, but I can't move it to the left of the > > icon. FF30 works very well. FF31 does not work. I tried the reset by default for troubleshooting, but who has not good either. If I need to dig about: config to anchor it in place, I would like to know and advise the settings to use. FYI, it is indifferent when I classic restaurateur theme installed or not; I used to use CTR. Any help will be appreciated, any procedure or test that you need I will fill.

Make sure that there aren't flexible spaces or normal spaces in the toolbar with bookmarks.
Why did you move the item to bookmarks toolbar to another toolbar?
Is it because you have moved all the elements of the toolbar Navigation one cannot hide this toolbar (empty)?

Note that the classic extension restaurateur theme allows you to hide the Navigation toolbar via preferences/Options.

  • How can I display icons and text in the bookmarks toolbar. If I roll over the icon I can see the text. I want the icon and the text are always visible.

Previously, the name of the link and the icon icon was visible in the bookmarks toolbar. I did something to cause the name disappear and cannot find a way to get it back.
The only visible, at least I have the cursor on the icon, the icon itself.

Hmm, I can't imagine an integrated way to display only the icons. Is it possible that one of your modules has changed the display style? You have "Roomy Bookmarks Toolbar"?

You can view your extensions on the addons page and when they have an Options button, change their behavior. Or turn them off. I suggest starting your investigation with those:

Open the page modules using either:

    • CTRL + SHIFT + a
    • "3-bar" menu button (or tools) > Add-ons

In the left column, click Extensions. Something seems relevant to the bookmarks toolbar?

  • Bookmarks toolbar disappears whenever I close the browser. Have you tried all the recommendations.

At the time where Firefox has become very slow, I've been running Chrome for several versions. I'm now trying to switch to Firefox. I have 27.0.1. My bookmarks toolbar disappears whenever I close the browser. I tried all the recommendations I can find including zero and change of name, etc, but nothing has failed to cure the problem. Restore default used to work for the current session, but now it does not work. I'm about to give up and stick with Chrome as the bookmarks toolbar problem is driving me crazy. I'm about to try to uninstall and reinstall Firefox. And this will be my last resort, unless you get a solution to this problem. I've been a Firefox user since its inception up to 16 or 17 years old and like Firefox, but this seems to be common according to my research. BOOKMARKS BAR IS A MUST HAVE!

  • How to display the bar title, tabs and bookmarks toolbar?

I am running Win8.1 and use Firefox for many years - in part, because unnecessary features are supported, the screen - as they sometimes do with Microsoft products. I seem to have stumbled in what may be an exception to this, however. [1] my Firefox title bar, tabs and bookmarks toolbar have hidden themselves - unless I have the mouse on the top of the screen. I didn't ask for this and want these features to be in the sight of all the time (as they have been for the last 10 years). Any advice? [2] secondarily, Firefox seems to have updated, perhaps, without my consent. I would like to turn that power off and keep control of my PC. Any advice for this would also be useful. Thanks in advance.

Thanks guys... I finally figured it on mine, but you nailed.
