Display data in Table a selection of LOV

Hi all

I have a scenario in which the JSF pages contains a LOV and table of the ADF.

My requirement is to display the rows in the table based on the value selected in LOV.

The table and the LOV were built out of same data control.

I use Jdeveloper - 11.1.2.4.39.64.36.1 version.

Tips gently on the way forward.

Best regards

Ankit Gupta

  • query to display data in table with several detail table

    Hi all

    I have a few cases with a table header that have more than 3 table of detail, and I have to generate the query to show all the data horizontally.

    tblHdr have column A (PK)

    tblDtl1 have column A (FK), B (PK)

    tblDtl2 have column A (FK), C (PK)

    tblDtl3 have column A (FK), D (PK)

    and I need a query to display data like this:

    AB1C3D1
    AB2C4D2
    AC5D3
    AC6

    all the Details of the table should display data based on the relationship of tblHdr (A).

    tblDtl1 have only 2 rows of data for the FK A

    tblDtl2 just for FK 4 lines of data

    tblDtl3 only 3 lines of data for the FK A

    Another example:

    AB1C1D1
    AB2C2
    A

    B3

    tblDtl1 only 3 lines of data for the FK A

    tblDtl2 have only 2 rows of data for the FK A

    tblDtl3 have only 1 rows of data for the FK A

    Please shed some light. for the record, I'll use this query in ADF, so I'll put using PLSQL in second priority.  I prefer to do it in the SQL query.

    Thank you

    Here are 3 ways. First test of data:

    drop table ta purge;
    create table ta as
    SELECT 'A' AS A FROM dual
    union all
    select 'B' from dual;

    drop table tb purge;
    create table tb as
    SELECT 'A' AS A, 'B1' AS B FROM dual
    UNION ALL
    SELECT 'A', 'B2' FROM dual ;

    drop table tc purge;
    create table tc as
    SELECT 'A' AS A, 'C1' AS C FROM dual
    UNION ALL
    SELECT 'A', 'C2' FROM dual
    UNION ALL
    SELECT 'A', 'C3' FROM dual
    UNION ALL
    SELECT 'A', 'C4' FROM dual ;

    drop table td purge;
    create table td as
    SELECT 'A' AS A, 'D1' AS D FROM dual
    UNION ALL
    SELECT 'A', 'D2' FROM dual
    UNION ALL
    SELECT 'A', 'D3' FROM dual;

    Now 3 solutions: full join, group by and pivot:

    with b as (
      select a, b,
      row_number() over(partition by a order by b) rn
      from tb
    )
    , c as (
      select a, c,
      row_number() over(partition by a order by c) rn
      from tc
    )
    , d as (
      select a, d,
      row_number() over(partition by a order by d) rn
      from td
    )
    select a, b, c, d
    from ta left join b using(a)
    full join c using(a, rn)
    full join d using(a, rn)
    order by a, rn;

    select a, max(b) b, max(c) c, max(d) d
    from (
      select a, null b, null c, null d, 1 rn
      from ta
      union all
      select a, b, null, null,
      row_number() over(partition by a order by b) rn
      from tb
      union all
      select a, null, c, null,
      row_number() over(partition by a order by c) rn
      from tc
      union all
      select a, null, null, d,
      row_number() over(partition by a order by d) rn
      from td
    )
    group by a, rn
    order by a, rn;

    select A,B,C,D from (
      select 'A' tab, a, null val, 1 rn from ta
      union all
      select 'B' tab, a, b,
      row_number() over(partition by a order by b) rn
      from tb
      union all
      select 'C' tab, a, c,
      row_number() over(partition by a order by c) rn
      from tc
      union all
      select 'D' tab, a, d,
      row_number() over(partition by a order by d) rn
      from td
    )
    pivot(max(val) for tab in('B' B, 'C' C, 'D' D))
    order by a, rn;

    A B C D
    A B1 C1 D1
    A B2 C2 D2
    A C3 D3
    A C4
    B

    Personally, I would prefer to view the data by using a 'join the union', in order to avoid the impression that the different detail records are related somehow.

    select ta.a, b, c, d
    from tb full join tc on 1=0
    full join td on 1=0
    right join ta on ta.a in (tb.a, tc.a, td.a);

    A B C D
    A B1
    A B2
    A C1
    A C2
    A C3
    A C4
    A D1
    A D2
    A D3
    B
  • Select display after alter table

    Hello
    Why ' select * view "is not display recent columns added by alter table command." Even display columns and the data from the table only. What is the oracle of mechanism used here?

    Thank you

    Vermorel

    When you create a view, you create a static 'snapshot' of the columns of the table. Adding columns in the underlying table will not change the definition of the view. Using a "select *...» "according to the definition simply indicates the database to create the view with all the columns that appear in the table at this moment in time. He does not mean "dynamically change the display when the table is changed," which would negate the whole point of views.

    E.g.:

    SQL> create table t1 (col1 number,
      2                   col2 number);

    Table created.

  • Unable to display data for the date where there is no entry in the table

    Hello

    I need a urgent, described below:

    I have a table named as 'dirty', consisting of three columns: empno, sale_amt and sale_date.
    (Please ref. The table with data script as shown below)

    Now, if I run the query:
    "select trunc (sale_date) sale_date, sum (sale_amt) total_sale of the sales group by order trunc (sale_date) by 1.
    It then displays the data for the dates there is an entry in this table. But it displays no data for the
    date in which there is no entry in this table.

    If you run the Table script with data in your schema, then u will see that there is no entry for the 28th. November 2009 in
    sales table. Now the above query displays data for the rest as his dates are in the table of the sale with the exception of 28. November 2009.
    But I need his presence in the result of the query with the value "sale_date' as '28. November 2009 "and that of"total_sale"as
    « 0 ».

    Y at - there no way to get the result I need?

    Please help as soon as POSSIBLE.

  • How to display date information in a data log table

    Hello

    I want to display data during the data acquisition process. How can I add the time stamp as one of the column in the Table of 'results' located bottom left of the sample code?

    Thank you

    Ryan

    Here is an example of the use of ordinary table instead of the express. You will need to convert your dynamic data to a scalar with the dynamic data conversion function.

    You can insert a fictitious line. Have an if condition in it, to show only when condition does not satisfy.

  • How to display data from the emp table?

    Hi everyone, this is my first post in this portal. I want to display the details of the table emp... for this I use this SQL statement.

    Select * from emp where mgr = nvl(:mgr,mgr);

    When I give the entry as 7698 it shows the matching records... and also when I don't give any input then it shows all the records except the Archbishop with null values.

    (1) I want to display all the records when I do not give any input, including null values
    (2) I want to display all the records that a Bishop is null

    Is it possible to integrate in order to include all these in a single query.

    It's a little unsure what you're asking.
    The following query always includes the lines where mgr is NULL and when the binding variable: mgr is NULL, it displays all the lines:

    SELECT  *
    FROM     emp
    WHERE     LNNVL (mgr != :mgr)
    ;

    In other words, when: 7698 = mgr, it displays 6 rows and when: mgr is NULL, it displays 14 rows (assuming you are using the table provided by Oracle scott.emp).

    The following query includes lines where Bishop is ZERO only when the binding variable: mgr is NULL, in which case it shows all lines:

    SELECT     *
    FROM     emp
    WHERE     :mgr     = mgr
    OR       :mgr       IS NULL
    ;

    When: mgr = 7698, this will display 5 rows and when: mgr is NULL, it displays 14 rows.

    The following query includes lines where Bishop is ZERO only when the link variab; e: mgr is NULL, in which case it shows only those rows where mgr is NULL. In other words, it treats NULL as a value:

    SELECT     *
    FROM     emp
    WHERE     DECODE ( mgr
                , :mgr, 'OK'
                )     = 'OK'
    ;

    When: mgr = 7698, this will display 5 rows and when: mgr is NULL, it displays 1 row.

  • Display data from two tables based on date criteria

    Hi all

    I have two tables, using these two tables and a few conditions I want to recover under result. Oracle version is (Oracle9i Enterprise Edition Release 9.2.0.8.0 - 64 bit Production)
    LOGON_ID        USER_ID       LOGON_TIME                 LOGON_TYPE    SUBSCRIBER_NO               CUSTOMER_ID

    26063548     4528890298   4/5/2010 12:03:58 AM            MSISDN       GSM04528890298              581751708
    logon_histories_r table records the information of each user who connects to the system. Subscriber Details table contains all the information corresponding to subscriber_no, only 1 row should be returned.
    I'm confused usage date condition for the table of the Subscriber, the input parameter date 04/04/2006 to 15/04/06

    Select lh.logon_id, lh.user_id, lh.logon_time, lh.logon_type, subs.subscriber_no, subs.customer_id
    of logon_histories_r lh, subscribed subs
    where lh.logon_time > = to_date('05-04-2010','dd-mm-yyyy')--to_date('04-04-2006','dd-mm-yyyy')
    and lh.logon_time < to_date('06-04-2010','dd-mm-yyyy')--to_date('15-01-2007','dd-mm-yyyy')
    and lh.user_id = substr (subs.subscriber_no,-10);

    If the date range is 04/05/2010 to 04/06/2010 then the data related to the BAN 581751708 must be the result,
    If the date range is 04/04/2006 to 15/01/2007 data related to the BAN 502499502 must be the result.

    Please find DDL and data relevant to these results. There are millions of records of Subscriber & logon_histories_r table, I am given appropriate providing a subscriber_id.

    Hello

    Welcome to the froum!

    Thanks for posting the CREATE TABLE and INSERT! It's very nigra.

    logon_histories_r table records the information of each user who connects to the system. Subscriber Details table contains all the information corresponding to subscriber_no, only 1 row should be returned.

    Do you mean a line by the user, or a line every time that you run the report, regardless of the number of users connected during the period that interests us?
    Anyway, if there are multiple logons, how do you decide that one? Or the output of logon_histories_r columns will be a sort of composite?

    I'm confused usage date condition for the table of the Subscriber, the input parameter date 04/04/2006 to 15/04/06

    Select lh.logon_id, lh.user_id, lh.logon_time, lh.logon_type, subs.subscriber_no, subs.customer_id
    of logon_histories_r lh, subscribed subs
    where lh.logon_time > = to_date('05-04-2010','dd-mm-yyyy')--to_date('04-04-2006','dd-mm-yyyy')
    and lh.logon_time< to_date('06-04-2010','dd-mm-yyyy')="" --="">
    and lh.user_id = substr (subs.subscriber_no,-10);

    Must LH.LOGON_TIME match something in the subscruber table? If so, you need to addsome extra join pathological.
    For example, if lh.logon_time must be between d1 and d2 (where d1 and d2 are DATE columns), then:

    select      lh.logon_id
    ,     lh.user_id
    ,     lh.logon_time
    ,     lh.logon_type
    ,     subs.subscriber_no
    ,     subs.customer_id
    from      logon_histories_r      lh
    ,      subscriber           subs
    where      lh.logon_time      >= to_date ('05-04-2010','dd-mm-yyyy') -- to_date('04-04-2006','dd-mm-yyyy')
    and      lh.logon_time      <  to_date ('06-04-2010','dd-mm-yyyy') -- to_date('15-01-2007','dd-mm-yyyy')
    and      lh.user_id      = substr (subs.subscriber_no, -10)
    and     lh.logon_time     >= subs.d1     -- New condition added
    and     lh.logon_time     <= subs.d2     -- New condition added
    ;

    Please find DDL and data relevant to these results. There are millions of records of Subscriber & logon_histories_r table, I am given appropriate providing a subscriber_id.

    That's smart, don't not post each row of the table: looks like you posted just enough to show what the problem is.
    Try to do the same thing with the columns. Do not post every single column, just the columns that have something to do with the problem.

  • Specify the type of data when using the "CREATE TABLE AS SELECT"?

    In the table creation code I'm trying to create a DATE column called DOB below. However, the resulting DOB column in the condamnes2 table is a Varchar2. How can I specify that I want to be a DATE field DOB? (I know that I can create the structure first and then fill it but this isn't what I want.)

    create the table condamnes2
    SELECT Person_ID,
    decode (year of BIRTH, null, null, to_date (nvl(BIRTHMONTH,1) |)) » /'|| NVL(Birthday,1) | » /'|| NVL (BIRTHYEAR, 1500), ' MM/DD/YYYY')) DOB
    Among the people

    Thank you

    Use the CAST function in your decoding:

    SQL> create table Persons2 as
      2  SELECT Person_ID,
      3         decode(BIRTHYEAR
      4               ,null, cast(null as date)
      5               ,to_date(nvl(BIRTHMONTH,1)||'/'||nvl(birthday,1)||'/'||nvl(BIRTHYEAR,1500),'MM/DD/YYYY')) DOB
      6  from   persons
      7  ;

    Table created.

    SQL> desc persons2
     Name                                      Null?    Type
     ----------------------------------------- -------- ----------------------------
     PERSON_ID                                          NUMBER

  • display data in a tabular format

    Dear Sir

    I followed the example on

    http://www.BlackBerry.com/knowledgecenterpublic/livelink.exe/fetch/2000/348583/800332/800505/800508/...

    which really helped me to solve the problem of New York.

    now my data shows but its display twice.

    Here is my code to display data.

    for (int count = 0; count)< 4;="">
    {
    ranks [count] = new VerticalFieldManager(VerticalFieldManager.NO_HORIZONTAL_SCROLL |)
    VerticalFieldManager.NO_VERTICAL_SCROLL);

    Add 21 rows of data in the column
    displayData = this.split (data, ' |');
    for (rowCount int = 0; rowCount)< displaydata.length="" ;="">
    {

    SB. Delete (0, sb.length ());
    SB. Append ("data");
    SB. Append (Count);
    SB. Append (",");
    SB. Append (RowCount);
    SB. Append("");
    SB = String (displayData [RowCount]);
    displayData [rowCount] = sb.toString ();

    SB. Append (displayData [RowCount]); ((/ /, 0, rowCount); //displayData [rowCount]);
    SB. Append("|");

    ranks [count] .add (LabelField (sb.toString (new), LabelField.FOCUSABLE));
    }
    Add the line to the rowHolder.
    rowHolder.add (rows [count]);
    }

    dataScroller.add (rowHolder);
    Add (dataScroller);

    Help, please

  • ADF Table and select one choice

    Hai everybody, please help.

    I have a page that contains the table and select a choice where the table record displays the current month and the choice of a select contain only months. When I select the month from the list, save the table will change based on the months that I have chosen. I have really no idea on how to perform this task.

    123.png

    With the help of jdev version 11.1.1.7.0

    Thanks for your help.

    El

    Try to follow the following:

    1 - in the ViewObject (to which redirect the table) define the bind variable, this variable binding will filter the query (for example variable binding name is selectedMonth).

    2 - from the page, select the selectOneChoice and of the Inspector properties set value change listener method in backbean and autoSubmit = true.

       .
       .

    Method of earphone 3 months value change will be:

      public void monthValueChangeListener(ValueChangeEvent valueChangeEvent)
      {
        BindingContainer bindings = BindingContext.getCurrent().getCurrentBindingsEntry();
        DCIteratorBinding iter = (DCIteratorBinding) bindings.get("TableIteratorName");//you can get iterator name from pageDef.
        ViewObject vo = iter.getViewObject();
        vo.setNamedWhereClauseParam("selectedMonth", valueChangeEvent.getNewValue());
        vo.executeQuery();
      }

    3. set table by selectOneChoice id partialTrigger

        .
        .
        .
