The ability to rotate the screen image is a characteristic of your video
card, to help work with instructors who turn to the portrait
orientation. Almost certainly you accidentally pressed Ctrl-Alt, and
an arrow key.
Rotate using these keys.

How can I fix back to normal? brijoy1i

    Hi brijoy1,

    I agree with Akuma.

I think that the easiest is when you check the properties of the display driver. In all drivers, you can change the orientation of the screen, so it should be no problem to get rid of it. ;)

  • Satellite P200-where is the switch that makes display to turn off?

    Hello world

I have a Toshiba Satellite P200, there is a problem with the display, it works and it doesn't work.

I did some checking, the backlight is turned on, and it works well with a second monitor.

The question I really want to ask, where is the switch or contact on the lid or the body of the laptop that stops at the screen when I close the lid?

I have the laptop stripped down and I see there, not anywhere, where there is some sort of mechanical or magnetic contact between the cover and Palm rest.

I thought he got me something where the lid locks close but can't see anything there.

I know that there must be something that puts the laptop into hibernation when I close the lid, but the sensor or another location.

    see you soon

    Spike

I think that the sensor is part of the motherboard, but can't tell exactly where he might be.
But as far as I know that the JP9 (40pin) is used to connect the screen.

However, in my opinion this is not a sensor delivers
If something is wrong with the screen, you may need to replace either, FL inverter, LCD screen or check the connection between the screen and motherboard

  • "Display will turn off.." ELPH 160

While I'm trying to focus on a topic why my Canon ELPH 160 displays the message: "screen turns off. Any operation reactive'? I can't concentrate with a black screen, and tapping a button disrupts the development. I could understand this if the battery was low, but this happens even with a fresh charge. Is there a setting I can change to disable this message?

Yes in your settings menu there is a setting energy saving where you can adjust the time before the screen turns off

  • Display has turned sideways

It is Dell Inspiron E1705 of my daughter with Windows XP SP3 installed. Everything was wonderful until the other night, then she was working with this computer before going to sleep. She was in bed with her computer when she is asleep. During the night, flipped it over on the computer and the screen has turned sideways. The BIOS initialization appears correctly as well as the first part of the initialization of windows, but the Welcome screen display is on the side as well as the rest of the o/s.

Does anyone have a better idea how to solve this problem that wipe the HARD drive and reinstall Windows XP?
    Btk (billy the kid)

    Hi btk.

Wait what he well go through start up even if it's on the side.

When finished, press the CTRL and ALT keys and then use the arrow keys to adjust the orientation of the screen.  Normally, the up arrow will do the trick, but sometimes it takes playing with arrows for a while before finding a way to recover it as you wish.  That should do it.

    Good luck!

  • How to increase the time that the viewfinder display is turned on (T3i/600 d)

    Hello!

This seems to be a very basic question, but after searching for the manual and the web, I can not find an answer.

When I press and release the shutter, the camera button turns on the viewfinder screen that shows the shutter speed, openness, indicator of level of exposure and ISO speed. But it turns off automatically after 4 seconds. I looked in all the menus and I can not find how to increase this timeout so that the information is displayed for a longer period of time.

    Help?

    Thank you!!

    I don't think it's an adjustable value.

I just got a new laptop with windows 7 and I turned the screen 180 degrees, so that in microsoft word and I don't know how I did and therefore can't fix.

Hold down the Ctrl and Alt keys and press one of the four arrow keys (up, down, left, or right) to correct.
Alternatively, you can have a Rotation setting in the display properties of the graphics card. Or try to restore the system to an earlier date.

  • Display brightness turned down to Tecra 8100

    Hello:

I bought a Toshiba Tecra 8100 used - after two months without problem the monitor suddenly turned down the
brightness - in the beginning the turn-down was little, now, it's quite often.

I tried already several things: first of all I thought it was because of the battery... but after the purchase of a new problem was still there. Sometimes after freezing
several times by closing or simply by pressing the gel
button, it works very well. So far, I can't find a source of
the problem (also changed the parameters of power... is not serious)... so I'm completely at the end of my nerves - in addition to this small, but very serious problem, I'm still very pleased with this end computer.

Hoping to find help in the forum.

    Best regards, Bjoern

I too am in the same situation, but I just wanted to clarify the problem. The machine starts very well, but sometimes the backlight fails completely. It's pretty sporadic, although invariably reboot fixes the problem (temporarily). Is it a software or a hardware problem?

    Thank you, David

  • my text on the LCD display is turn on the side, I need to return the screen

need to return my screen is sideways

If the entire screen turned sideway, there are 2 ways to fix...

    1. press the keys Alt Ctrl + set > up/down, left/right arrow keys to "flip" your screen back to normal.
    2. right click on a free space of the office > graphics > Rotation > choose the appropriate degree.
NOTE: I would like to use #1. I find the #2 method that is difficult to use because I can't control my cursor on the Rotation mode.
