Display of blackBerry Smartphones only BES - no available BIS?

I just bought a storm (1 BB never) of SFR (vodaphone) France. I have trouble to configure an e-mail account.

There is no BIS showing. I visited the bb europe site to create a new account, but it says that my storm has not been saved?

When I look at the status or BES or BIS is connected.

Maybe I'm a bit thick, but I thought when you have bought a phone and paid for business correspondence that it would work right?

Finally, I send them to work. I now have additional applications, more e-mail settings and BB browser.

I spent some time with the technical support of French SFR, I told them that BIS was not connected (they had no suggestion) and then I connected via a download and reset.

Apparently this should all have been done before in the store when I bought it.

    How can I restore ONLY my BBM contacts using the desktop software?  I looked through the choice of data but none like the right. I have a Torch 9800 and I use the latest office software. (6.0 bundle 1907)

    I use my BB especially for work it is setup with connection of mail company so last week when I had problems they have wiped my BB and now my email and business contacts sync works well again but I lost all my BBM contacts.

    In the restore office option, I use the "select parameters and device data" to select data to restore, but I cannot easily determine what type of data I should be restore so I didn't wipe my e-mail contacts existing or other parameters. Given that I had about 60 BBM contacts fields that show a counter that is close (and therefore looks promising) to the correct quantity are: Messages, folders, store of Trusted keys, stored key pocket, and recent contacts.

    Any help or thoughts are appreciated.

    No, you're not... the latest version is 6.1.0 Bundle 34...

    The appropriate injector is there. It's a shame you didn't otherwise save your BBM contacts... BBM itself offers the possibility to make a backup of contacts... I've always found that more useful than the ability to backup/restore of desktop software.

  • BlackBerry Smartphones only "hotspot browser".

    I've updated my facebook application to the latest version, but just after that the update of it... i cannot connect to facebook or any other internet-based application. My bbm has stopped working and I could no longer emails. I went to the options of the browser and discovered that I could only go on the internet via a hotspot "browser"... There is no other choice. I tried the battery pull or HRT "sign up now" option but nothing happens. ".  I had my SIM card and inserted into my wife BB and everything works fine.

    I don't know what to do next... Please help

    I suggest the following, in order, even if they seem redundant to what you have already tried (steps 1 and 2, each should result in a message to your BB to come...) Please wait for this before moving on to the next step):

    (1) registry HRT

    • KB00510 How to register a BlackBerry smartphone with wireless network

    (2) remove and return Service directories

    • KB05000 Remove the maintenance book for the BlackBerry Internet Service email account in the BlackBerry smartphone
    • KB02830 Send the directories for the BlackBerry Internet Service

    (3) restart to take batt

    • Each time a random strange behavior or slow creeps, the first thing to do is a battery pop reboot. With power ON, remove the hood back and remove the battery. Wait a minute, then replace the battery and cover. Power on and wait patiently through the long reboot - about 5 minutes. See if things return to functioning. Like all computing devices, BB suffers from memory leaks and others... with a hard reboot is the best remedy.

    I hope that will move things again for you! If this isn't the case, then you should contact your provider of wireless services for formal support.

    Based on your description, I can only imagine that you tried only the automatic methods of obtaining an updated operating system. These methods are controlled by your operator, no BB, as to what is available to you. If, for example, BB was released at the level of the OS you want, but your carrier delays in approval, then you will be offered through these automatic methods. Fortunately, there are tricks to circumvent this (assuming that some other carrier comes to present the OS level you want, of course). The easiest way is, on a PC (you can not do on MAC):

    (1) make sure that you have a current backup and your BB complete... you can find the instructions at the link in my auto-sig below.

    2) uninstall all the BB OS packages from your PC,

    (3) make sure you have the BB Desktop Software already installed

    (4) download and install on your computer, the BB OS package you want:

    • If all you want are the levels of BONE, it is first sorted by carrier - the carrier supports, your search will be fast. However, some carriers are much slower than others to release updates. To really get the package up-to-date OS for your BB, you need to dig through and find all businesses that support your specific model BB and then compare the BONE levels they support.

    5) remove all copies of the SELLER on your PC. XML... There will be at least one and maybe 2, and they will be located in the same way or to (it changes based on your version of Windows) these files:

    • C:\Program Files (x 86) \Common Files\Research In Motion\AppLoader
    • C:\Users\(your Windows username) \AppData\Roaming\Research In Motion\BlackBerry\Loader XML

    6 (a) to change your level of BB OS installed (at level or lower), you can run the Desktop software and connect your BB... the software should offer the operating system package you have installed on your PC.

    6 (b) or, for recharging your BB OS level installed as well to change, work around the Desktop software and use the CHARGER. EXE directly, through step 2 in this process:

    If, during the process of 6a or 6 b, your BB has an error '507', simply unplug the USB of the BB cord and reinsert it. do nothing else... This should allow the installation to continue.

    If you are on a MAC, you are limited to only your sanctioned carriers OS packages... but can still use any level they currently have to sanction. See this procedure:

    The problem:

    When I got my BB 8830 leave for some time (for example during a flight) or been out of coverage, messages accumulate on the server. When I log back, it retrieves all the (I'm mostly concerned about e-mail via BIS) and they all have the date & time that my BlackBerry has come online. In addition, the chronological order is not preserved, (esp. with multiple e-mail accounts). This makes it very difficult to scan my Inbox and understand what I missed and when. It is ridiculous to have 20 messages all with exactly the same date and time.

    The Question:

    Can I have my inbox show is the "sent" date and time or (even better) the data and time, were received by my mail server? Would it not different with BES?

    It only shows the date and time when the message received on the device, this is normal. You can check that your messages the individual icons for your BIS BIS accounts e-mail.

    I have a curve 8900 and I have great difficulty with my BB App World. Whenever I try to download an app from appworld, it displays the message "[application] is not available for download on BB App world"

    I tried upgrading my appworld and it just cancells itself

    Dear BB,

    I would like to know why App World is not available in Lithuania.

    I'm a BB official client to "Bite" mobile operators in Lithuania.

    Before signing the contract to become a user of Blackberry services, person to bite no has not informed me that App World is not available in my country.

    However, eventually after I became user BB and felt that the App world is not available, I contacted my operator "Bite" with this issue. "Bite," officially said that is not their fault, and the problem is the company of Blackberry. And bite doesn't even know when the Blackberry App world uses us. Thus, they can not help me.

    Unfortunately, I am really disappointed at this point with my Blackberry, it is not 100% usable as it should. And return to my previous carrier that works with an Iphone just thinking where is none like some sort of these problems.

    Please please let me know when / if it will be available to use App World in Lithuania.

    First - these forums are not a conduit for advanced studies or to have discussions with RIM on any formal basis. These forums are rather a community of support to users. All official support from RIM is only available (for free) escalation of your provider.

    Second - verse forward looking for information is forbidden by the team of specialists on this site. To actually answer your question would require 1) having such information (which here nobody) and 2) revealing (which would be in violation of the terms of USE).

    However, you should know that AppWorld is simply a portal, vending apps developed mainly by others. Therefore, it is not your exclusive supply source - there are others that you can try (e.g., Handango, Handmark, BPlay, GetJAR and Mobihand). I found that there are very few applications that is exclusive to AppWorld. You can see the online catalogue and then look for other sources of supply, including quite often on the developer website.

    Finally, understand that RIM has no unilateral control over the availability of AppWorld. On the contrary, a triad of entities must agree - RIM, wireless service provider, and Government. As the main entity to profit in this triad, I've always suspected that the RIM is not one that could hinder the process.

    Since the early morning today, we have a general failure in BIS & BES.
    No access to the data so no email, the bbm & apps using BIS (via the APN blackberry.net).

    We reported the problem to our support of carrier (proximus).

    Everyone knows the same problem?

    After 30 hours of interruption, BIS & BES came back to life. Services returned @ 10:05 THIS (1: 30 ago). South African users confirmed that the blackout began last Friday and has been resolved in early Monday morning. We can close this topic.

    I was recently given a 8830 by a friend whose society got her a curve.  His previous employer used BES and had password enabled in security options, which made sense because it was a mortgage bank.  I don't use BES, and do not need the password function, but it seems that I can't turn it off.

    is there a way to do a hard reset which removes all the restrictions that the previous owner had some?

    Options of-> Security-> General Settings Options-> press the Menu button-> Select wipe handheld

    Who will wipe the device, do not know if this clears the it policy as well.

    If this does not work there is another way...

  • BlackBerry smartphones only 1 E-mail accounts emails, instead of 2

    Configuration of curve of my father, I put in place since two e-mail accounts after you have created a user name for the account of his BlackBerry. I didn't enter the login / pw for both accounts (1 work, 1 Gmail) and they both came back successfully Setup. He receives e-mail messages only for a Gmail good (now). When I go into work account settings it is said that the message service is the Gmail account, instead of the work account, and when I go to work done say work Gmail message service option too so do not give me more receive gmail. It's as if they reflect eachother and I can't have both set up differently. Maybe I missed some options when you set up the accounts. Can anyone help? I know that this explanation was confusing (I'm confused to write it), let me know if you need more clarification. Thank you!

    I would try to remove the troubled Server e-mail account bis.  Go to the site I posted before.  Restart the device and restore the account.  See if it works.

    It's a push browser message.

    Go to your messages folder > press Menu > folders > browser Push messages, find it and read it or delete it.

    Check also the Wap, same place messages folder.

    I looked at my phone and she the Saturn which where 4 apps I bought through world app that was available updates. I go to appworld and goto my world and select one of these applications and it says upgrade is free, but when I select upgrade, it is said, for example, "MiaWallpaper is not available for download on the app world." What the hell is happening? It's really me off ticking. Any help would be greatly apreciated.

    In some cases, it was discovered that updates (from got AppWorld apps) require additional steps in order to install the update. If the update will not install, please try this:

    1. Homescreen > Options > Advanced Options > Applications > highlight the app > BBKey > delete
    2. AppWorld > MyWorld > Login > highlight the app (if she shows at all, in any State) > BBKey > delete
    3. Use your PC (via the mass storage Mode) or your BB (via Media > BBKey > Explore) and find all references (folders, files) to the app delete everything you find. Search the memory of your device and your press card as well.

    My BBM has disappeared from the BB app world, even if I type Blackberry Messenger in the search engine of the app world it shows a few apps from third party bt not the BBM real application itself...

    I currently have 6.2.0.56 BBM version and therefore cannot be updated to BBM 7...

    A few weeks ago, BBM is available for download on App world bt, it was still 6.2.0.56 version not BBM 7. .and BBM 7 released by RIM in December. Now its gone compleletly.

    I will stay in India... If BBM 7 not made available to the Indian BB users by RIM? and when it will be available?

    Or there are some issues with App world?

    And also done BB travel works in India coz I know for cards is BB n traffic BB does not.

    The reason is that carriers in India have not agreed to support the voice feature of BBM again.

    You should complain to your mobile service providers.

    Hi I'm new to the scene having just had my playbook yesterday. I downloaded a few free apps in appworld yesterday, but today I tried to download overdrive but after error (003-001) code a few times he says now appworld is not available in your country. I tried a few other free applications with the same result. Power help I would be grateful.

    Hi, I checked my country is on UK and I tried to reset wifi, restart my pb and still no better.

    Updated fast, try this time from the blackberry site to access the aw and it worked. Downloaded a few free apps to try and all were successful. Strange, but it's Christmas.
