Display of PPI in Lightroom CC

Hi Adobe community!

I hope someone can help me here. I recently made the switch by using a workflow with bridge-> Photoshop for working with images in Lightroom and sometimes in photoshop. I noticed something that Adobe Bridge that I really like that I can't find in Lightroom and you mind, it's a little thing. Does anyone know if there is a way to display the current PPI of an image? I know that I have posted ratings, but I was wondering if there is a way Lightroom that can display the PPI as well as how to bridge. I've included a screen shot to show what I'm talking about / what I'm looking for.

In reality, there is no such thing as the PPI of the image. Lightroom displays the size of the image in pixels. The DPI setting has really no effect on the size of the image. If you do the math, you can determine what the image size would be at a certain setting of PPI. But the framework does not affect the pixel size of the image. An example:

Image size 4000 x 6000 pixels

You want to print at 300 PPI, so

6000 pixels/300 PPI = 20 inches

4000 pixels/300 PPI = 13.33 inches

If you can print an image that is about 13 x 20 ", and it will print at 300 PPI regardless of what the PPI setting is in the file. The only real value that the PPP has in Photoshop is to allow the program calculates the size of the image will be in any given setting. Images directly from the camera are measured in pixel count, and that's all.

  • Some JPEG photos will be not displayed when importing in Lightroom

Hi, I had a catalog for all my iPhone photos, they are near 26 000 photos. When I made an update of file synchronization, it has removed from photos jpeg as 5% of them.

I can open the missing photos of the Explorer, but I am unable to see them in my LR catalog, or bring in my catalog.

I even tried to create a new catalog, and then import it here, but it always fails to display in the catalog to import.

missing photos have no trend that I could identify. they are in JPEG format. If I make a copy of the photo file that will be displayed in the import dialog box. But the problem is that I have tons of missing photos.

    What can I do?

my version of lightroom is 2015.6.1 on a windows 10 machine

    Found the problem!

I've identified the images like the ones here where live photo, and according to the markets forums I just check the option "treat jpeg next to raw as separate photos files.

    Really appreciated your prompt response.

  • Files are not displayed in 4 of Lightroom after registration of Photoshop

It was a problem with Lightroom 2, has been corrected in Lightroom 3, but came back to Lightroom 4

    Here is the scenerio

    1. Select a RAW file in Lightroom 4
    2. Press Cmd - E to the file RAW edit in Photoshop
    3. In Photoshop, tap file > save as...
    4. Save the file as a PSD in a new subfolder outside the folder where resides the RAW file (for example: for every job, I keep my RAW files in a subfolder called "gross," my PSD in a subfolder called 'change', and my master file in the folder of "final" called surlamemepageoudans)
    5. Return to Lightroom, the new folder and PSD displayed is not in the library
    6. You can then right-click on the Parent folder and click on synchronize folder for the new file and the folder appears

If you open a RAW file in Photoshop, just press on save, it will save it as a PSD next to the RAW file in the follder even and this file will be displayed in the library. But I like to keep my separated from PSD, TIFF RAW files and so on.

  • How different cultures parts of a file RAW and DISPLAY the results in Lightroom?

The title says it all, almost:

Is it possible to keep the cropped part to their original pixel size?

    Thanks for your help.

Yes, each CV can have its own unique set of keywords, metadata, develop adjustments, cultures, etc. etc.

Note that a virtual copy is not an existing file until export you it from Lightroom, at which point it can be saved as PSD, JPEG, TIFF or DNG. Prior to export, the VC exists only in the catalogue

  • Lightroom CC2015.2.1 card do not put pictures correctly on Windows 10 with Windows display together to scale to more than 100%

With the new version of Lightroom, I'm having a problem with the card module.

If I drag a photo to the card, the yellow mark will appear on an entirely different position, as 10 cm to the right.

It happened not in previous versions of Lightroom.

At the same time the map looks like a bitmap is scaled. Text on the bottom is large enough.

When I put Windows display scaled 100% proud will look and image map will be placed in the right position, but not an option that I am using a display 4K 15 ".

By default Windows Seting is 250% implemented display scaling.

Lightroom, Windows, graphics driver,... are more up-to-date versions.

Is there a way to tell the card module behaves like at 100% scale? I already set the size of the font to a fixed font size but which does not affect the map.

To maintain the all synchronized you must use the registration rather than save as option. Then, if necessary, rename the image in Lightroom.
