New camera using lightroom 3.6

I have lightroom 3.6. I just purchaesed an alpha A99 camera SDony and I am unable to display raw files in lightroom. What can we do

What can we do

You upgrade to LR4 or use the free DNG Converter. But I think the A99 is actually only see current support ACR / DNG 7.4 / LR4.4 Beta now on Adobe's Labs. Otherwise there is no way to use these files - buy you a new car, but cling to your forefoot doormat.

Hello. I use Lightroom (5.7.1) and have a question about the new camera support. I intend to buy a new camera Fuji (X - E2s) which will be released in February. Lightroom will be able to read the raw files of this new camera? Thank you in advance for your help!

No, he won't be able to, Chris, since 5 Lightroom is is updated to support new devices. However, once the free Adobe DNG converter supports this camera, you can convert your raw files to DNG and then import the DNG files in Lightroom 5.7.1.

  • I installed lightroom 5 and I am using Nikon D810, (new camera), when I try to import photos from the card, he said the preview is not available.  What I am doing wrong?  Help, please!

I desperately need help!  I've been trying to use Lightroom 5, what's new with Nikon d810 also new camera and I'm not able to import photos from the card.

Someone help me please get it going, I'm so frustrated.

Not necessarily. the images on the card could still be corrupted and the jpeg preview is visible in other programs other than LR. Have you noticed the same behavior on multiple cards? If so, it suggests that LR is the culprit. I suggest you save and optimize your LR catalog, and then stop and restart your computer and see if the behavior persists.

I have Lightroom 5.7 and I bought a new camera Nikon 7200. When you download the photos in format NAVE of my desktop Dell to Lightroom, it is said that the pictures are not visible. What should I do? Why this version of Lightroom does not work with my new camera?

Support for the Nikon D7200 was introduced in LR CC 2015 / LR 6.0.

If it comes to the camera you use options are

    a. upgrading to the latest version of LR CC 2015.5.1 / LR 6.5.1

    b. use the latest version of Adobe DNG Converter 9.5.1 and convert your NEF files to DNG file format and then use the DNG files in LR 5.7.

Thanks for the reply.  Nevermind, it sucks.  I'm trying to avoid the cloud, why should I pay 9.95 a month forever?

I guess it's a matter of how you look at it. I'm not the creative cloud like something that I have to pay for ever. It seems to me a monthly fee to make sure that I always have the latest Lightroom and Photoshop. But do not subscribe to the creative cloud. You can certainly buy Lightroom 6. It has essentially the same features as Lightroom CC. It lacks some features that have been added since its launch. But this isn't really a problem because there will be an another upgrade in another year or so that you can buy that will have these features. There is always a cost involved with the software. It will always be updates and upgrades. And if you want to keep up to date with the software you are using then the price must be paid. It's a bit more expensive to subscribe to the creative cloud that is to buy upgrades as they arise. And if you prefer not to upgrade which is all the better with respect to the pocket book is concerned. I'd rather spend a little extra to always have the latest features of Photoshop and Lightroom. If this isn't worth it for you, then you can consider buying Lightroom 6.

  • Photoshop does not open Raw images with my new camera Canon 6 d help! I use Photoshop CS5 extended version.

    Hello

I got a new camera and Photoshop and Lightroom will not open Raw images with my new camera Canon 6 d help! I use Photoshop CS5 extended version. and Lightroom 3

    Good and bad news:

The bad news is you need CS6 or later version to open 6 d RAWs. (The 6 d did not support until Camera Raw 7.37.0 was created in CS6;) You can choose to upgrade (I recommend CS6 to jump and go straight to 2014 CC for $10 / month) * GOLD *...

.. the good new is that the DNG Converter can help you convert your RAWs in DNG for CS5 and Lightroom 3.

  • How to use new iPad3 with Lightroom on bureau iMac?

Workflow: will this work?  Camera RAW to iPad3 to Lightroom?

I would use my new iPad3 with my already existing on my desktop Mac Lightroom workflow.  What I have in mind is to shoot in RAW (Sony SLT A - 65-24.3 megapixels) and then, on the ground, transfer my pictures from the camera to the iPad3 (64 GB version).  On the iPad, I could do some rudimentary editing - deletion failed, etc. - but I'll always do all my significant editing in Lightroom on Mac.  So, I need to import pictures, iPad, in RAW or DNG in LightRoom as soon as I return to my office.  My questions are:

Is it possible to import RAW photos in the iPad3 and either keep in RAW or convert them to DNG?

Is it possible to export the iPad3 DNG or RAW photos in Lightroom?

What app (s) do I need on the iPad3 to get there?

FYI - I use Lightroom3, but will be upgrading to Lightroom4 if that makes a difference in the question to know if it works or not.

Thanks a lot in advance for your suggestions and advice!

You can load your RAW images to any iPad using the camera connection kit which comes with two dongles. One for inserting a SD card in your camera to load images. Or the USB dongle that you can plug the USB cable for your camera to the iPad to load images. There are a few CF cards readers that are compatible with the iPad, if your camera uses a feret will of Google search out for you. In addition, you can also load images for iPad, iPhone or iPod touch (like laptops and desktop famlly) using WiFi that you capture using an EyeFi SD card.

    http://www.eye.fi/

A good app for the iPad in collaboration with EyeFi is Shuttersnitch (However, it does not coordinate with Lightroom)

    http://www.ShutterSnitch.com/

Unfortunately there is not any processing RAW image editing software for the iPad that Lightroom can do use changes. However, there is an app called Photosmith which will allow you to evaluate, label, add keywords etc then you can download this info on Lightroom on your laptop or desktop cimputer and this info synchronized to the images. You don't have to transfer the image files themselves to the iPad to your workstation separately.

    Hello

Do you think that the new MacBook 12 "can use Lightroom and Photoshop cc? I'm about to see buy this MacBook.

    Thank you for your advice.

    Best regards

It should work. For a few intensive processor image adjustments, it may trolling, but take a cup of tea and coffee. Ditto on the generation of said images of 1:1 of the big RAW files. But I opened Lr CC right now on a 2009 Core Duo MBP 13 "and it works. Jackpot is important and this will be slower that say a high-end 15 "or iMac, retina, but for what?

And BTW, the screen RESOLUTION is huge.

Consider that a MBP 17 "has a resolution of 1920 x 1200. It is decidedly old school.

12 "has a retina display, at the native resolution of 2304 x 1440 to 226 ppi. This is how many things on the screen. Almost as much as an ordinary 2.5 k iMac. Yes, the pictures would be smaller, but you just get the thing... which is easier because it is smaller. His retina at 15 "of your eyes, which means that it is as close as you can get before you see pixels. Then you'd see a ton in addition to your image at 1:1 without scrolling autour, and yet the menus and icons Lr would be regular size of Mac. They would be the crowd a little more obviously than on a 15 "screen, but you'd still see tons.

And BTW, you can also run a 4 k monitor it.

Hello, I have Lightroom version 5.7.1 I use no clouds at all. However, I just bought a class of Adobe's Lightroom, and it includes downloads that only works on a new version of Lightroom. Therefore, I can't take advantage of the excellent program, I bought (editing of Photo of Ben Wilmore Adobe® Lightroom® CC: The Complete Guide) unless I update.

I resisted doing what I am on a fixed income and do not service CC. Unfortunately, I have a problem. How do I most cost effectively upgrade my version of Lightroom?

LR CC and LR 6 are the same program other than some missing features to 6 LR6 is a standalone program. You are able to go to Adobe website LR6, so you should be able to use the course. We must look carefully because they want to subscribe, but it is available!
