Display problems Flash content player in browsers (as a consumer)

Win XP Pro version 5.1.2600 Service Pack 3 Build 2600

IT IE 8.0.6001.18702

Firefox in 3.6.27

I assured I have the most recent Flash Player installed.  I even uninstalled and reinstalled.  I confirmed that my internet security is not blocking the content.

I write as a spectator / consumer on webpages (mainly commercial sites).  I design web sites, but don't know of Flash Player.  On sites that have content Flash Player I can no longer see the images.  When I right click on the area of the image, the menu Adobe Flash Player appears, that's how I thought it was Flash Player. The happens in IE and Firefox.  I have not tried Chrome - will have to install that.

The message "a moment please" poster and then superimposed is "Please try again later, our apologies."  Examples of this are on jcp.com and bradfordexchange.com on each product page.  Here are two links to each product page:

I don't know what else to try to solve this problem... it's very frustrating because I try to buy on these sites.

  • Cannot display the Flash content after Norton Utilities scan

I did a scan of Norton Utilities yesterday, and afterwards various sites Web looked very odd in Firefox. Worse, I've lost the ability to view videos embedded on websites such as the BBC, YouTube, etc.

Other tests this morning show that the problem is not for ALL video content. There are YouTube videos that I can see perfectly, for example. And while I can't display content in media player on MLB.com , some video on the home page seems to work very well.

I've updated my Flash plugin to the latest version and Adobe's Web site tells me that it's working properly. Any ideas what could be the cause of the problem? Norton Utilities to remove some files that I really needed? I have read a few replies Forum on other issues that suggest I should disable Norton scans regarding the Firefox folder, and I'll do it - but how to fix the problem, she caused? I tried a restore of the system without result.

I have 12 of Firefox running on a Win7 x 64 machine. And by the way, 'weird-looking sites' problem mentioned above seems to have been fixed by reloading each in turn.

Scans of Norton Utilities tend to cause more problems then they actually solve, so I would never recommend them. Looks like that it damaged your profile Firefox, specifically your cache. You can try to read How to clear Firefox cache, which should help. If you still have problems, try to read Web sites look bad or display differently they should

  • Is possible with Flash content SEO?

    Hello

My problem is this... I was told that flash sites was not the quality of the Search engine optimization, but for me, it's B.S. Because search engines use meta tags and source code to look for keywords. So why a flash site would miss it? Or I'm wrong, EFF is based on tags Meta and the Source and the question of whether the flash is used or not, it doesn't have anything to do with the EFF.

    Thanks, Mike

    http://blog.deconcept.com/2006/03/13/modern-approach-Flash-SEO/ (suggested by mikerss)

And read this post from Adninjastrator:

I'd be careful while relying a lot on 'Off page' SEO for Flash using the directory link. In my opinion, they are a scam "linking farms" that offer little or no real value to the search engines.

The best way to provide 'Off page' linking is to include a link to your site on other Web pages whose content is compared to the content on your site to rank high... as this Forum for example, or other reports Articles and news related topics covers your site.

Compare the value of a Web page like that (which contains a detailed discussion of the theme of your site)... compared to a website in the sole purpose of being a farm of links... little or no real content, just a link system.

Good SEO with Flash is NOT so difficult, and has been a 'best practice' for many years already.

    To your comment:

If you think that Flash is a bit bad for SEO, it's time to dispel this MYTH!
If, in certain circumstances, I'll use Flash instead of just HTML, because then I'll have better SEO than with just one HTML.

    http://www.worldbarefootcenter.com/

World Barefoot Center link in the post above is an example. View the source code and you see a few paragraphs of the text as well as the normal HTML links... but what is displayed is the version the image Flash and Flash links.
The customer has provided work for the page... and that's what they wanted to use a .jpg image. Well Yes, that could be done in HTML, but it would be virtually invisible to Google. So instead I turned the image into a Flash .swf and used swfobject to display the Flash. SWFObject allows you to create an alternative content inside of the

that also holds the Flash .swf, then when the page is loaded, it detects if the browser has the Flash Player. If so, it just displays the Flash content, otherwise it displays the replacement content. Given that almost everyone has the Flash Player, for most people the Flash version of the
    will be displayed.
    Alternative content for which
can be any text ordinary HTML, images, multimedia, links, etc., everything that you would use if you were not using the Flash. Now, the best part is that the replacement content can be "over the top" in what concerns the optimization for SEO, because we won't see most of the viewers.
Here's another example of SEO with Flash... once again, the page is just a single image provided by the customer:
    http://www.ksowetsuits.com/
View the source code. The alt content is paragraph after paragraph of information on the site, including lists and links. If it was just the HTML code, it might be kind of a boring home page. But for SEO, I can go "over the top" in the promotion of the site, given that most viewers will never see that part... but it's all indexed by search engines. The end result is BETTER referencing using Flash than just HTML.

On another Web site, a Flash video is displayed, the alt content is the narration of the full text of the video. Now how many people take the time to read that if they could just watch the video instead? better yet, SEO with Flash than without. In fact in one case we had the first page of this narrative video search result within 4 hours of the display of the page.
Another site with a Flash video, the alt content is another video, but a .mov version, which will be, indeed playing Flash video on the iPhone (not possible you say?). Well, since the iPhone doesn't have Flash Player, it just displays the video .mov version, while everyione else sees it the Flash version.
Anyway, if the Flash is part of your Web development, you should look into using swfobject and content alternative.

  • Flash Player 22 - content Flash is not displayed because the 22 player install

I work for an e-learning company. Today, we have a significant number of users who can play is no longer our Flash tutorial. These users are running the Flash Player version published 22 yesterday, June 16. We can reproduce the problem in IE11, Edge, FireFox and Chrome. Tested OS include Windows 7, 10, and 10 Windows running in a VMware install on a Mac.

The tutorial plays as expected with Flash Player version 21. With Flash Player version 22, content is not displayed. With Flash Player version 22, we see other Flash content, for example, http://www.timeticker.com.

Example of content Flash which is not displayed currently running Flash Player version 22:

  • Installed Flash Player 10.3, but now I can't see any flash content

I had this problem for a few days and I have that others seem to have similar problems, I have not found anything to fix my problem.

I am currently using the following:

    Mac OS 10.4.11

    Firefox 3.6.21

    Flash Player 10.3

Before you install 10.3 FP, I have not had any problems with flash content. After I updated, any page with flash content was just an empty space (especially the topic page of flash player on the Adobe site). On YouTube I get a black box, no control, no video, audio, can not click it, just a vacant place on the page.

It appears from everything I can tell that FP installed successfully. There is no problems during the installation, I tried reinstalling several times and deleted earlier versions. In addition, when I go to about: plugins in FireFox, the latest version of the plugin flash player IS listed. I don't really know what keeps me from being able to see flash content. To the best of my knowledge, shockwave is functional, but not Flash.

I hope someone has an answer, because I don't know what else to try. All other cases I've seen in this forum which has been solved has not worked for me. I would be happy to make some screenshots, but I need someone to tell me how to do this. I think just let go and install an older version of FP, until I have buy a newer computer this year.

    Thanks for your help.

Can you find the browsers (Safari and Firefox) in the Finder, then right-click on it and select information...  In the information dialog box that is displayed, is the option "Open with Rosetta" checked?  If so, please uncheck this option and reinstall the latest version of Flash Player.

    Thank you

    -C' IE 9.0.8112.16421

Flash player is installed and running. The Flash (http://www.adobe.com/software/flash/about/) Web page displays the content correctly and said: 'you have version 10,3,183,10 installed.

However, when you browse some other sites, occasionally IE displays the following message: "this website wants to install the following add-on: 'Adobe Flash Player' of"Adobe Systems Incorporated".» I clicked on the "Install" button and the Flash Player is reinstalled, but continues to display the same message over and over again. In any case, the Flash content is read correctly.

We held 10.1.5 and 11.5.502.146 Flash drive [Windows 7] this week and discovered that you can't see a PDF file containing the Flash content.

We receive the message "to view the contents of the Flash technology in this PDF file, please install the required version of Flash Player.

According to the Adobe Reader Blog "as mentioned in the three Commons Adobe Reader and Acrobat security issues, unknown Flash is now rendered by the Flash Player (version NPAPI) system, when using Adobe Reader and Acrobat versions 10.1.5." Note: This has already been done for Reader and Acrobat 11. As already said, this means that the Adobe Reader/Acrobat users will no longer have to update Adobe Reader/Acrobat whenever we update the Flash Player. »

If this is true, why are we going to see this message?  And, how to allow us to solve the problem?

Flash Player extension for XI Acrobat family is different for the plugins in the Web browser and must be installed at the request by following the instructions in Acrobat or Adobe Reader.

See my blog for a detailed explanation.

    Howdy Yaser of zoysia,

It seems that your screen displays some graphical anomalies when you connect to your user name. I would use these troubleshooting steps in the following article on the resolution of screens:

Restart your Mac in safe mode to reset the default display resolution.

If booting safe mode doesn't resolve the problem, reset your Mac NVRAM and SMC to reset the video ports on your Mac to their default values.

From: get help with graphics issues on external displays connected to your Mac.

Thank you for using communities of Apple Support.

  • WIN8.1/Chrome 64 bit: NPAPI Flash Player crashes on pages with Flash content

    Hello

Chrome 64 bit (beta +) crashes on 64 bit Win8.1, if I use the reader Flash NPAPI (beta or stable v14 v15) and open a Web site with Flash content.

    More details here:

    https://code.Google.com/p/chromium/issues/detail?ID=402262

Great to hear.  Looks like it has been resolved on the side of Chrome.

My understanding is that NPAPI turn off by default in Chrome soon.  Yet once, PPAPI Flash Player has matured greatly at this stage.  If you always use questions that make the superior NPAPI Flash Player for your use case, we talk about them.  The goal is to have the plug-ins to parity and the window to have an NPAPI option closes quickly.

    Thank you!

  • [problem] Flex 4 and the Flash Debug Player

    Hi guys,.

I'm currently writing a game engine using the Flex SDK 4 bundled with Flash Builder. I keep running into a weird bug which is absolutely destroy my head. I use FlashDevelop as my IDE.

Basically what is happening, is that from time to time when compiling using the Debug Flash player fails to launch and instead, I get this message:

'Set some breakpoints, and then type "continue" to resume the session.'

It is, I use FlashDevelop and I don't have a debugger, or continue anyway to type (not that I want to type it in the first place). Basically, now, FlashDevelop or Flash, no blocks. I can't start again unless manually close the Flash Debug Player (the latest version 10 btw), or close FlashDevelop, in which case, the Flash Debug Player now starts up.

Now, crazy as it sounds, I think that it is related to the size of the file. For example, the last occurrence of this bug was when I added a Set accessor of a class, that's how it happened:

public function set BackgroundColour (c:Colour): void

    {

    This.m_bgColour = c;.

    }

Pretty innocuous, right? However to add this function means that now I can't run my program in debugging. If I add the line:

    private var myRandomNumber:Number = 1;

Before my function, everything works fine. If I change the number to int, brand new case!

That happen all the time and it is fine when compiled in the release. Seriously, this bug is painful-anyone know what is behind it or how to stop what is happening (outside your class fill with bloat)?

    Thank you

    Damian

    > Does this also true even when I put "- static - link-TIME-shared-libraries = true" in the compiler options (see the example code above)

Oops, no, I hadn't noticed that.

    > Again, I will stress again that seems to be triggered by size

Sorry I don't address that directly in my earlier comments. It's just that I think it's probably a Kipper.  But in any case, I continue to suspect that FlashDevelop is wrong somehow outcome from FDB.  There is a way to test my theory: running the debugger of FDB command-line by itself, outside of FlashDevelop and see if it behaves correctly.

Try this: at the command line prompt, look for fdb.exe (it's in the 'bin' directory of the Flex SDK kit) and run it, by the way of your SWF as an argument, for example 'fdb myapp.swf' (or 'fdb myapp.html' If you want that it runs in a web browser).  He must launch the SWF and get out some lines that are very similar to the lines you see in FlashDevelop.  When you see the line 'Set breakpoints and then type "continue" to resume the session' (and you will certainly see it at least once), just type the command "continue."

It should work correctly, with the swf running with FlashDevelop and one that does not work with FlashDevelop.  By "work well", I mean, if you type "continue" whenever the prompt, finally just app will run normally. I do not guarantee as to how many times that the prompt.

Let me know how it goes.
