• Keyframing opacity of the individual forms in Premiere Pro CS4

  Hello

  I'm working on a video that involves some signs and lines of text I have to the mosaic for reasons of confidentiality. Since I am still on a beginner level, I use the title and the mast key method to get the mosaic effect, which I learned from video tutorials on the net.

  The locations of the panels are static, and even though the lines could move upward, they are always at predetermined locations. Also, when and what signs and lines should be hidden vary throughout the video. So I have to alternate mosaic on these areas if I want to keep as much as possible visible areas. I added a photo in case I was not clear. Think of the left as the first picture and the right part as the following. Grey areas are "mosaic-able", and black parts are mosaiced.

  

  I first tried to separate "mosaic-able" in three areas and activating / deactivating the video opacities in doubles at certain times. But not only this caused an overkill of mosaic over the area that contains the lines, I also think that there should be an easier way to do it.

  So I was wondering if I could create multiple forms on a single title and toggle the opacity of these individual shapes on the title at given times. I then I turn the opacity of the duplicate video as well (at least I think), but this isn't a big problem. Is it possible to do that, or a completely different approach to this whole situation?

  Any thoughts would be appreciated.

  I use photoshop for such things and use layers in the psd file to import these layers, and I find that using rules and guides in psd I have more control over the positioning and the "color" in a first time... (for the matte gray levels)

  It comes to my own preference that I'm used to psd for years and not as the title in a manner sometimes interferes with 'security' frames in the first... I get mixed results...

  in other words, you can separate these areas in totally different psd "layers" and applies only the (s) you want to at some point... it gives me more control...

• Effects of lightsaber using the dynamic link with Premiere pro and After Effects CS4

  Hi all

  I'm working on a video project and that you want to add a lightsaber effect, but a layer which is suppose to be transparent isn't using dynamic links.

  I shot the video in my head, and everything else hidden.  I made a flash body to put my head on.  Now I know how to make a lightsaber in After Effects CS4. (starting with comp 1 with videos making a white solid layer, and then using the tool pen to make the sword.  Then copy the sequences video and place it in comp 2.  Then to return to comp 1 and remove the video sequences. then on comp 1 making a SOLID BLACK LAYER {that's the problem} and place it under the layer of white.  Then duplicate the white layer 3 times.  Changing each feather white layer mask to make the glow.  so going to comp 2 and take the 1 model and her nest to model 2...  Then change the blending mode of the model nested 1 to the screen.

  The main timeline in Premiere Pro CS4 and I have the video layer 1 to Photoshop file which is pink and the background of this project.  I made a dynamic link to After Effects and copied and pasted the video images and flash to the comp.  Here, I made the lightsaber.

  That is the problem.  The model of dynamic links with video, flash and the lightsaber will not show my pink background in Premiere Pro shows him my video, flash and lightsaber but the background is black.  In case of problems, I noticed if I turn off the LAYER BLACK for the lightsaber effect, I see my pink background with video and flash sequences and the glow of sabre, but my blue lightsaber color will not appear.

  Do more problems I set photoshop to lightsaber model file and I see the video, the flash, the lightsaber but I think because the background is pink I don't get a color glow to the sword (vilot color)

  If the layer of black is supposed to be transparent, so why can't see my background in Premiere Pro using dynamic links?

  P. S. - one-way I kinda had this work was I took one of the masks of white and copied and pasted layers in nested layer comp 1.  Adjusted to the width of the mask and the pen and I got a glow of blue ok.  You just can't mask width too because it shows a lot of black.  It is not as good as I want and I hope someone can help...

  Well, blend modes don't create transparency, so the behavior is correct - because technically, the background of the model is ignored for the mix of operations, in areas where there are no content below for the mix, only the layer of black color is used. You create transparency good, real luminance based on unmultiplying, that can be done with the Knoll Unmult plugin Red Giant Software (free) or the effect of changing the channel of the AE monitoring bey a color delete effect.

  Explain to your client that the original was not shot in high definition.  DVD is the best it will get.

  Hello all, new to this forum. I have problems to transfer files on another computer running the same version of Premiere Pro CS4. I can see all the elements and the fades etc, but the audio and video files are missing. Thanks in advance for you help. Keith

  I am pleased that you guessed it sorted.

  The other workflow is to locate the transferred project file and the media on the same drive letter on the second machine. So, no reissue of links.

  I carry tons of projects between computers through the external HARD disk. Each is given the exact same drive letter of the operating system on each computer. Works a treat.

  Thanks for digging in the prelude and emphasizing in this regard.

  In fact this "premiere Pro project metadata" option should not be present in the display of metadata inside prelude.

  It works perfectly in Premiere Pro. You can choose one of the present field under "premiere Pro project metadata" to show as list view columns in the project Panel.

  However, we cannot change the list view columns in the prelude project Panel.

  There are chances, that it has been copied by mistake to the prelude of options from Premiere Pro.

  This option should be removed from prelude. We're looking probably in it.

  If you have concerns about any metadata stream, please report it. I'd love to discuss.

  I have a second clip 24 I have stratified in Ps and when I import the psd in Pr THE SEQUENCE IS STILL ONLY 10 SECONDS!

  How can I change this?  Why does this happen?  I really need to know as soon as possible.  I have a video project due this Wednesday (certainly that's an AV class where I learn just PR.  "But I can learn VERY QUICKLY!)

• Premiere Pro CS4 trial update, now the codecs are missing

  I had to reinstall my Premiere Pro CS4 (which was a downloaded update) on a new computer and install the free trial first. Now, after working with Adobe support and supposed to have been upgraded to full CS4, I get the error message: "additional codecs that do not appear in the Premiere Pro CS4 trial version must be installed." I try to update on the Help menu, but get the message that "there no update at this time."  Anyone have any ideas?

• Bridge 6.2.0.179 does not display the dimensions of the PNG files in the metadata Panel - and can't get off.

  After the upgrade to the last bridge, the metadata panel displays is no longer the width and height of a PNG image. It still works for other types of files, such as jpg.

  I have to use Explorer to get the dimensions for a bunch of PNG. Very inconvenient. I wanted to downgrade the last bridge, but it seems that it is no longer available.

  I tried to completely uninstall the CC (and pref.) and reinstall. No joy.

  Just updated bridge this morning (6.3.0.177) and happy to say on my system (OS X El Capitan 10.11.6) that the dimensions of the png is now displayed after several months of not having at their disposal!
