Distributed in geo location installation

Hello

I'm developing a deployment architecture for Distributed vRA together geo-location on WAN where my main location would all vRA management components and distance will have Infrastructure to deploy VMS to.

I had listed on having

-Democrats (O & W) with specific skills

-VRO to run local workflows

-vSphere proxy Agent to have a deployment.

-There may be different forest areas as well.

I don't know whether or not the model Manager is also required at the remote location. any idea!

If someone can tell me the right document to support this deployment, would be most appreciated.

Thank you

MG

Here's a blog recently written by one of our consultants, but it talks about multiple instances of piles of vRA. geo-location | VMware Consulting Blog - Articles of VMware

For a single instance, you may still have only about IaaS and vPostgres database active in any service once and also only active managers (... \vCAC\Server\ManagerService.exe), so you can split the node, but you will always have these constraints. You could place another service manager in another location, but it will be in passive mode. Keep your orchestrator DEM and DEM all workers.

vRA is not distributed at the regional level as other CMP areas. Your best bet is to keep the vRA mgmt stack together, and then distribute your agents vSphere beside your vCenter Server Proxy. The reason vSphere directed proxy agents and collect data during the datacollection process when it's over, it's a hand of time out of return to Service Manager to commit to the DB - it also to process applications at the endpoint by using the SDK. If disperse you your agents to proxy of vSphere more away from your end points of vCetner, it has get a latency more caring.

The other component that you could disperse is the vR orchestrators, according to what made the vRO server. You can take advantage of several tenants and set up different vRealize rally by tenant when you use the Services in advance or service plans, but you may also take advantage of the property of the client VMware.VCenterOrchestrator.EndpointName running heel workflows and where you can specify the vRO server to use, but it depends on what are your workflows.

  • Geo location does not

    Hi all

    I have configured vC OPS 5.7 use of geolocation.

    I have successfully configured in vc ops key to google maps, created the "Geolocation" tags values & configured these values of tags with the correct location.

    The location of the research maps popup is ok and I can record it.

    But when I look at the tab overview of the geographical environment there is only a map of the Earth and I do not see the location that I saved.

    I missed something?

    thkx,

    Vinny

    Hi vinny95, make sure you click on the blue link when you choose your location for the ' lock in '-otherwise, the GEO location does not record.

    See the example below of my post on how to configure the widget GEO - in this example, I would click on the hyperlink to "Tiger Stadium" before hitting the Save button.  "PIN" in the Google map icon will change from the letter to a 'point' to make you know that you have made this choice.  It is a common mistake because most of the time setting this up, people know the exact address for a data center, there is not many sites found by Google... so you do not select!

    BEFORE the SELECTION - you should always click the blue link for location search result you want to...

    AFTER SELECTION - then click Save...

  • Application of distributed creation of problem (installation file)

    We develop a tool with Measurement Studio in Visual Studio 2008. Now, we have a problem in its deployment.

    We have a rule that users don't have administrative privileges on their computers.

    And when we created the Setup project to install the tool, he needed the privileges of Directors even when we used the ".msi file" instead of the "setup.exe" which is something we must avoid.

    Is it possible to deploy this tool as well as the Measurement Studio dll without needing administrative privileges?

    Thanks in advance

    Hi Mohammed,.

    In fact is not a way to run the installation without administrative rights tool. The installation program requires the permission to write to protected paths which are only accessible by admin. Also just as a side note, you should always run setup.exe and not the msi as the setup.exe sets flags for the msi runs correctly.

    Thank you!

  • Distribute the digitally signed installation package

    Hi all

    Distribution of installation package can be done with Winzip Self-extractor program packs the exe and install and requires that the user double-clicks the icon.

    Digital signature of an EXE file with certificate Authenticode Windows means application is approved under Windows.  See tabs Windows security application to build and install Build in the LV for how to apply these certificates.

    Problem: once the signed EXE is digitally compressed, then the digital certificate is "lost" when double-click on icon zipped exe.

    The reason why we like to zip is to provide a clean and simple option for users to install (double-click the 1 icon rather than go to Volume/setup.exe).

    Once I have zip I lose advantage (it does not) digital certificate.

    Other simple options for the distribution of applications that are simple, double-click a unique icon for the installation (including the run-time)?

    Thank you

    Battler.

    You can digitally sign an exe zipped; It is an exe file.

    Use signtool.exe of MS as a free tool to download .net 4.0.

  • Location GEO-Tagging

    We are working on a vCOPS 5.0 Enterprise facility that will be used to a centralized reports for different geographical locations. We already have several collections of will and many devices discovered.

    I started to look at the widget GEO location and began to set up the labels for our first West Coast data center location. When I went to add resources, I used the discovery and not selected "only of new resources.

    Now to the question... the resources I would like to add to this tag already exist in the system under other TAGS... whenever I try to add to this new TAG thanks to the discovery, he continues to show the resources within this tag 0... Can someone show me what stupid mistake I do please?

    You must add a parameter to the value of this tag, and resources travel (using drag-and - drop) to the tag value.

    I do a lot of testing of localhost using selenium inside the eclipse. whenever I have start a debugging session and click on a page, I get the popup of geo location. GEO.enabled setting to false does not stick. He discusses each session I begins.

    How to get my settings preference to stick?

    While it would probably solve the problem for most users, it does not for me. I'll close this and create a different problem thread that directly relates to the selenium.

  • I can't turn off the location-aware feature in Firefox 4.

    I tried the technique suggested for Firefox 3.6 and the browser continues to display my ads tailored to my place. If I can't turn this off, I'll move from browsers.

    There are two ways that your location can be determined. One is through the geo-location feature, which uses WiFi signals on mobile devices; does not work on desktop computers unless you have a wireless card installed. Geo-location can be turned off in Firefox.

    The other is the IP address of your connection, which cannot be disabled in Firefox. You must use a Proxy Server / service to act as the intermediate connection to hide your real IP address. It would be easier to use Adblock Plus and just to hide these ads, then to mess with use of a Proxy, IMO.

    Will not be very different with other browsers.

  • iPhone 5 s showing the location bad find my iPhone

    When I'm in my school after school, my phone watch I am across the street in the apartments across the school.  I had never moved from my school, and I have no idea where these apartments are still but it locates me in these apartments when me and my phone is in my school.  This happened twice with the same exact location, and as I said I've never set foot in these apartments or in this general vicinity in my life.  As an additional inconvenience, it look suspicious to my family when they check my site.  It appears through the find my iPhone.  My phone is now two years old, and I didn't modify parameters based on location I know.  If this could have something to do with the new software or accidentally turn me on a certain framework?

    What can happen is that your iPhone can not use GPS is to find your actual location when you are inside the building (GPS must have line of sight to communicate with satellites in the sky).  So if you're indoors all day, you iPhone must instead rely on IP geo location-based network, you're on from the cell towers or WiFi network.  This type of situation is much less precise that real GPS in your phone and your will be often average power off.  There is nothing you can do about it.

    You can do a test to see this in action by standing outside the school, opening Maps app and looking to see it is exact.  Then, close the cards, go inside the school, wait a minute or two, and then again open the cards and see where he thinks that you are (probably far away).

  • Windows Azure: security of data and the location of the servers

    I am not yet familiar with Windows Azure, so my apologies in advance for this look, especially if my questions are novices.

    I want to deploy my business transformation engine and database on Windows Azure, and I want to clarify one or two things in this regard.
    I prepare the Documentation of the privacy / security for my new business and would like to understand what would be fair for me about privacy and security with Windows Azure...
    (1) there will be some interest in my clients 'how' my data is stored.   I found several links to ISO27001, etc., but y at - it a page that describes the security of data held by Windows Azure?
    (2) my company will be based in Australia, and our laws require the consent be obtained from customers if we are send or contain personal information outside the Australia - so I'm curious to know what I can say about "where" their data will take place.   Is there something I can do in this regard?   Is it true that data 'will be stored in Australia', "won't be stored in Australia", or "will be stored on different global servers, their locations not identified" (which is probably an element of extra security in itself), or something similar?
    Kind regards

    Windows Azure Storage is geo-localized, means that you can select the region that you want to store your data. But I doubt if they have Australia as one of their geo location. While selecting the geo location of your server, you can find the locations in the drop down bar.

    In my view, that storage locations are located in the United States, Europe and Asia at the time of this comment. Please cross check with Azure Support for the latest information.

  • use of blackberry.location in the emulator of ripple

    I try to do geolocation using the API documented here https://developer.blackberry.com/html5/documentation/blackberry_location_568404.html blackberry.location

    I have the following in my config.xml file

    http://www.BlackBerry.com/ns/widgets"version ="1.0.0"rim: header =" "RIM - webworks:rim / webworks ' xmlns ="http://www.w3.org/ns/widgets">" "
      Geo location Proof of Concept

      Me

    I assumed that the tag 'id = "function blackberry.location' me will have access to the API, but it does not appear in the wave, where I'm emulating a Bold 9700 OS 6.  Other properties of the API "blackberry" appear, but not 'place '.

    Any ideas?

    Specifically, I am using this one because I want the functionality provided by the method "setAidMode".  I need location GPS is used, rather than the ground or cell-based estimate.

    Thanks in advance,

    Jim Ashton.

    Your config.xml will take something ilke that give permission to use the GPS:

        access_location_services

    Work throug the sample application here:

    https://developer.BlackBerry.com/HTML5/documentation/tutorial_create_first_app_part1_1970681_11.html

    Download the necessary files.  Look at the file geo.js in particular.  I think you should use geolocation API for OS6 and no location.

  • How to get the current location in the event thread?

    Hello!

    Can U pls tell me how to get the location where the thread object, it is in method() execution of MenuItem. PLS, tell me-

    I also used the different thread for the getLocation() method. But I do not have the coords of geo location...

    PLS, suggest me-

    My code is as below:

        private MenuItem getGeoCodes=new MenuItem("Current Coords",100,1){

                                 public void run(){
                                     double[] coords=getLocationCoords();
                                     this.wait(12000);
                                     System.out.println("Latitude :"+coords[0]+" "+"Longitude:"+coords[1]);
                                 }

                     };

        private double[] getLocationCoords(){
            Criteria criteria = new Criteria();
            criteria.setHorizontalAccuracy(500);
            criteria.setVerticalAccuracy(500);
            LocationProvider locationProvider = LocationProvider.getInstance(criteria);
            Location location=null;
            new Thread(){
               public void run(){
                       locationProvider.getLocation(60);
               }
            }
            QualifiedCoordinates qualifiedCoordinates=location.getQualifiedCoordinates();
            double[] coords=new double[]{qualifiedCoordinates.getLatitude(),qualifiedCoordinates.getLongitude()}   ;
             return coords;
        }

    But I myself NullPointerException. Coordinates get successfully, if we run the location capability in different function, rather than the event thread.

    Please help me-

    In my opinion, which may be too complicate things a bit. I think he's trying to do is register a LocationListener with his object of LocationProvider. Callback methods, send a message to the UI event thread as follows (no need to spawn threads):

    UiApplication.getUiApplication().invokeLater( new Runnable() {
        public void run()
        {
            // This code will execute on the event thread
        }
    });

    EDIT: If your interval is short, you can consider implementing this executable as a class and store an instance in the front.

  • referential integrity distributed

    Hi, I have a question. If I'm on the wrong forum please direct me because I couldn't find a specific forum for distrituted databases and it can be a matter of application development.

    I implement a simple distributed database application. At this point I fear that with the creation of two tables of each on a different server. For the simplicity I will be their name table1 and table2. This is the scheme if the tables were not distributed and were located on the same server.

    CREATE TABLE table1)
    PRIMARY KEY of the CONSTRAINT of the NUMBER of table1_pk table1_id
    );

    CREATE TABLE table2)
    NUMBER of table2_id
    NUMBER of table1_id
    CONSTRAINTtable2_pk PRIMARY KEY (table2_id, table1_id),
    CONSTRAINT table2_fk FOREIGN KEY (table1_id) REFERENCES table1 (table1_id)
    );

    I talked about literature in the database Oracle® 10g Release 2 Administrator's Guide (10.2) and the Oracle database applications developer's Guide. I know I can't use declarative referential integrity, but how can I distribute the tables so that I can be sure that when I insert a row in table2, I can check to see if there is a corresponding line in table 1 for table1_id?

    Actually, I expect that you will review your architecture.

    It makes no sense to search one matching row in table1 a remote database when the data is inserted in table2 in a local database. The best scenario would be that each insertion in table2 would be overloading a network round trip plus costs of querying the table in the remote database. If the network is down or if one of the two databases is down, the application fails, that beats in general the object of a distributed application. In addition, there will be all sorts of concurrency issues (i.e. I remove a line, but before I commit to you ask the line, to see there and insert a child line.) I agree, leaving your orphan line).

    Assuming that you really do need a distributed architecture, you want to replicate table1 to the nodes the and remote. Then, you would report to referential integrity between your local copy of table1 and table2 (as well as between table1 and table2 on the remote database, assuming you wanted to table2 data available here as well). Your replication process (preferably using stream but potentially use the multi master materialized views rather) will then be coded to process the errors due to the asynchronous nature of replication (that is to notice that database1 deleted a parent row that you just inserted a child line for and solve the conflict in an appropriate manner).

  • Build error cannot find the distribution under construction

    I had a similar problem like this thread.

    http://forums.NI.com/T5/LabVIEW/build-error-can-t-find-distribution-being-built/TD-p/1462842/page/2

    My old guard Installer and ask for copy of the installation is finish. Quite annoying because it takes so long to get there. Any advice would be appreciated. I've attached a screenshot of my error message.

    You created this problem by running a build already install on your development computer. If you are distributing drivers with your installer you should NEVER run the installation program on the machine on which you build.

    Here's what happens:

    All software shops NOR where it was installed since in the Windows registry. When you initially installed it note where you install (DVD, network drive, etc.).

    When you build an installer in TestStand will prompt for this location if it cannot find the original installation files (that is, if you take the DVD from the drive disconnected from the PC from the network, etc.)

    What happened on this PC is you have to build a Setup program, and then you run this installer on the PC, and because the pilots were already present it replaced the path stored in the registry with the path where your Installer (e.g.) was C:\Temp\long path)

    I'm guessing that you have now deleted this former Installer. That means that you have to re - run installers for ALL the software to, OR that you have installed on this machine so the registry is updated to point to the path of DVD or the network path.
