divide the string and replace the token

Hi all

I have a field called "FreeText" that contains data that is more or less according to the following format.

"1 NEWTON/ISAACSIR WITHOUT DAIRY AND PEANUT PREFER ONE REGIME FRUITS"

It contains the name of a text followed by someone. I want to this tokenized by using space as the delimiter and the first token can separate from the rest of it. The expected output would be two columns containing.

"1 NEWTON/ISAACSIR" and the second column
"NO DAIRY AND NO PEANUT PREFER ONE REGIME FRUITS."

Thanks and greetings

Crusoe

Replace with your channel:
It splits the string for 2 values separated by the character of the first found SPACE.

WITH abc AS
  (SELECT '1NEWTON/ISAACSIR NO DAIRY PRODUCTS AND NO PEANUTS PREFERS A FRUIT ONLY DIET' A
   FROM dual)
SELECT SUBSTR(A,1,INSTR(a,' ',1)-1) , SUBSTR(A,INSTR(a,' ',1)+1 , LENGTH(a))
FROM abc

    One way:

    1. Start Regedit (start-> Run-> 'Regedit')
    2. Select the branch of the registry, or you are interested in changing.
    3. The export of this branch of the registry (file-> export) in a ".reg" file
    4. Use a programming editor (for example, the freeware Notepad ++) and use the "Find and replace" function to make the changes you want.  Save the modified file.
    5. After making the changes, double-click the .reg file to fold changes in your registry.

    As always, keep a backup of your original registry in case things get really bad and know how to do to restore this backup your machine should not be able to start.

    Welcome to the forum!

    You must change "001FI025A" to the name of the column. Example:

  • Strings and replacing their value

    Hi all

    First of all, I apologize if my subject line is misleading, I don't know how to write.

    Basically, I'm wondering how can I use a sring to replace an image uploaded with a preloaded? We have a personalized card generator that allows the user the choice to upload their own image, or using one of our preloaded card faces. If the end user selects the preloaded version, please send a "hi res" version of the printer.

    Hi res version is a completely different image file that I would call, replace the low-resolution and send to the printer. Here is the ActionScript code (3) we use...

  • Case-sensitive option in find and replace the chain

    Hello!

    Attached is my problem.

    I'm looking 'toto' in the 'toto + tototi' input string and replace 'toto' by 'A0 '.

    I want to "respect" the input search in order to get a string result: A0 + tototi

    Are there options allowing for case-sensitive option?

    BR,
    Vincent

    You use search and replace with Regular Expressions selected (the little asterisk icon).  \b represents a word boundary, basically the imaginary space between the character is a letter, number or underscore, and the other is not.  In other words, it is an assertion of width zero, which means that \b does not capture anything.

    For example: toto is toto, toto1, toto_1 etc.  toto\b matches the string 'toto' when it is followed by something that is not alphanumeric or underline, is why it will not match toto1 but will match toto + or 'toto '.

    Go to pcre.org for more information or follow the assistance detailed in LV I assumed you knew because you need to turn on Regular Expressions in S & are so I assumed that you had done.  You've probably done without being aware of what you were doing.

  • I can't seem to make the "search and replace string" works as expected.

    I tried to replace "^ []] +---+ ([^] +).» "$*" with $1 in "create table leq_octave_5min (recorded_time DATETIME CONSTRAINT pk1 PRIMARY KEY, leq5m leq5m of FLOAT CONSTRAINT NOT NULL, min min FLOAT CONSTRAINT NOT NULL, max max FLOAT CONSTRAINT NOT NULL, CONSTRAINT of FLOAT L05 05 NOT NULL, CONSTRAINT of FLOAT L10 10 NOT NULL, L50 FLOAT CONSTRAINT 50 NOT NULL, L90 FLOAT 90 CONSTRAINT NOT NULL. The goal was to get the third token, 'leq_octave_5min '.

    The result string is "leq_octave_5min", but the real result string is the input string itself.

    What is the problem with my method?

    I'm sorry.

    I forgot to turn on 'regular expressions' in "Search and replace the String" VI.

    After having turned it on, it works as expected.

  • Find and replace the delimited string value by the

    Hi all

    I have a requirement where I need to find and replace the delimited string values.

    For example, the string is "GL ~ 1001 ~ 157747 ~FEB-13~ CREDIT ~ A ~ N ~ US ~ NULL ~". The 4th column gives the month and year. I need to replace it with the name of the previous month. For example: "GL ~ 1001 ~ 157747 ~JAN-13~ CREDIT ~ A ~ N ~ US ~ NULL ~". I need to do the same thing for the past 12 months.

    I thought initially divide the values and store it in a variable and then after him substituting the value required, join the return.

    I just wanted to know if there is a better way to do it?

    Like this:

    with a model like

    (select "GL ~ 1001 ~ 157747 ~ FEB-13 ~ CREDIT ~ A ~ N ~ $ ~ NULL ~' double UNION ALL data")

    Select ' GL ~ 1001 ~ 157747 ~ JAN-13 ~ CREDIT ~ A ~ N ~ US ~ NULL ~' double data)

    Select

    REPLACE (DATA, TO_CHAR (to_date (substr (data, 16.6), "MON-RRRR"), 'MON - RR'), TO_CHAR (to_date (substr (data, 16.6), "MON-RRRR")-1, 'MON - RR'))

    modeling;

    GL ~ 1001 ~ 157747 ~ JAN-13 ~ CREDITS ~ HAS ~ N ~ US ~ NOTHING ~

    GL ~ 1001 ~ 157747 ~ DEC-12 ~ CREDITS ~ HAS ~ N ~ US ~ NOTHING ~

  • Search and replace the string formatting

    Hello

    I try to do a search and replace the formatting of a string.

    In the example, I'm looking for the string 'SUCCESSFUL', but it must also begin by usbflash and some number + PASSED.

    I can't get the format to have a number between 1 and 99. The number of replacements should add up to 6 in this case. I tried with \d for any number, and I also tried [1-99].

    Make a right-click on the function search and replace the string.  There is an option to use regular Expressions.  Then give it a try.

    EDIT: You need to set the entry replace all to TRUE.

  • Find and replace the string function replaces line breaks when I only replaced spaces?

    I need to replace all instances of a space or a series of spaces to a line with commas (or tabs) multi string so I can throw in a worksheet.

    I use the regular expression [\s]+ and it works, but it is also to replace the end of lines (\r\n) too.

    How can I replace the spaces but leave the end of the lines intact?

    Right-click on the search string and to take '-' code display. Enter the space character (\s) correctly - you \\s right now.

  • Find and replace all occurrences of a string within the current paragraph.

    I did so much work, and it's my last method to implement.

    I want to get the current active doc the current paragraph and replace all occurrences of a string inside this paragraph with another string.

    For example, say I have the following paragraph in a document:

    «This is a sentence that.» This is another sentence. It is also another sentence. The sentence ".

    If the user opens the document containing the paragraph and goes to this paragraph by clicking in any place in there, I want to replace e.g.g "another punishment" with "phrase.

    But only in the current active paragraph in the active document.

    I found a code with F_ApiFind and F_ApiGetTextRange to get the current text selection, but I can't think of a way to do it.

  • Divide drive merger and disable the failed drive

    So I have an iMac end 2012 27 "with a 1 TB fusion drive. Naturally the disk rotation has not now and the mac won't boot off the fusion drive. Running on my external drive USB 3.0 for now.

    I think ultimately for reliability I won't replace the drive spins and I'll go with an external thunderbolt SSD raid. But, how can I do to do a few things...

    1 - divide the merger in 2 discs disc so that I can format it and actually use the SSD which is always very good.

    2 - completely disable the spinning player who doesn't have to leave BONE trying to rotate upward and detects it and always tells me that he has not etc.

    Naturally, I try not to open the computer and disconnect the player. Yes, I have the skills to do that, I don't just want. So why I'll spend more of $ and get the raid external thunderbolt.

    Divide the 16-bit words in his HI and LO bytes, then convert it to ASCII

    I downloaded the .zip file and got the files .lks and .l4t... I don't know what are these files?  Where can I find just a VI for what I want to do?

    If someone has one, let me know!

    Thank you

    Danny

    Danny,

    Look at the sections of Data Manipulation and Conversion of the Digital Palette. Burst and array of bytes to a string number are your friends.

    In regards to the files, you will need to know the file formats. I never heard of one of those, and a search in the file don't produce something useful.

  • RegExp search and replace, keep the formatting of the original text

    Hello!

    Will have to perform the Search and replace within a framework of text using RegExp.

    And to retain the original formatting of the text block.

    How is it possible?

    Bad example-, it converts all the text formatting to the format of the first character:

    var reg = /a/gmi;
    var replacer = '*';
    var fr = activeDocument.textFrames[0];
    fr.contents = fr.contents.replace (reg , replacer);

    find_and_replace_regexp.jpg

    Thank you!

    I has not yet been tested your code.

    But why you did not play with my code snippet, use something like this:

    // regex_changeContentsOfWordOrString_RemainFormatting.jsx
    // regards pixxxel schubser
    var s = /arguments/gi;
    var replacer = "other string", result;
    var atf = activeDocument.textFrames[0];

    while (result = s.exec(atf.contents)) {
        try {
            aCon = atf.characters[result.index];
            aCon.length = result[0].length;
            aCon.contents = replacer;
            } catch (e) {};
        }

    SELECT SUBSTR (p_csa, 1, 4) INTO v_comp FROM DUAL;

    You don't need the double table much in PL/SQL. You can simply say

    v_comp := SUBSTR (p_csa, 1, 4);

    Almost all integrated single-row functions work in PL/SQL. (NVL2 is the only one I know who does not work in PL/SQL).

    SELECT SUBSTR (p_csa, 5.3) INTO v_csa_prefix FROM DUAL;

    If you don't want space, then only concatenate all the spaces in the string before you write it and REPLACE allows you to delete all the spaces that have been copied from p_csa. For example:

    UTL_FILE.PUT_LINE ( fileidinvoice
                , REPLACE ( v_telco || v_comp
                                        || v_csa_prefix
                              || v_csa_type
                       , ' '
                       )
