Dll missing thanks to malwarebytes, help?

Hello, I put in quarantine a file malwarebytes, considered a trojan.agent.GGEP which was located in the winsxs folder mfvdsp.dll. I don't know if this is a false positive or not because malwarebytes won't let me restore the file, it disappears and then comes back if I click on the quarantine tab. After trying to restore the quarantined file, I ran a sfc/scannow which came with corrupt files that it could not solve. As you can see below the file that could not be repaired was the file Mbam nuked and don't give back.

Can you please help me figure out if it was in fact a Trojan horse or it was a false positive. If it was a false positive can explain you how I can fix my windows install now that the file has disappeared? Which is linked to the missing file to? Are there risks if I simply continue to use the facility?

I posted this on the forum of malwarebytes, but they refuse to help or even bother with an answer. Any help is greatly appreciated.

The sfcdetails.txt after the sfc/scannow command file. :

Hello vista... sigh.

I was looking on this question and noted that the dll is not a standard.

The message you see is likely a remnant of this file in the registry or startup.

You can find and get rid of this through boot minimum troubleshooting, a process detailed in the following article:

How to troubleshoot a problem by performing a clean boot in Windows Vista or in Windows 7

Let us know how it works.

Best regards

Assuming that your spelling is correct, your computer is probably infected by malicious software. Download, update and perform a quick scan with Malwarebytes.

  • D3dx9_37.dll missing file

I installed a game from a purchased CD my child and he told me I was missing a file d3dx9_37.dll.   How can I download this file safely without having to buy some sort of scan registry?  Thanks for your help

    Hello Susan:

It is a DirectX .dll file.  I would suggest that you simply download the latest version of DirectX from http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/directx/aa937788.aspx and reinstall.  If that doesn't work, see the article database online at http://support.microsoft.com/kb/910813 and see if the steps include that it help.

Let me know if it works.

  • wczdlg.dll and netshell.dll missing and cannot start my Windows Firewall

    Hi all
I hope that someone will be so good to help my with this situation I tried (and failed) solve this past week or so.

I lost my firewall, l, and network connections.  As advised I checked the status of the automatic Wireless Configuration.  The State was "arrested" and was not a solution for this.  I continue typing applications for a solution ot wczdlg.dll and netshell.dll missing.   Now I can sign BT.openzone - it's the only way I can use the web.

Also I can't start my Windows Firewall.  I have no idea why my system is so badly damaged - the only situation I had was that my charger no longer works and my laptop crashed.  I also brought my laptop (HP compaq nc4200-Xp) to my daughter.
I don't have a recovery disc and the disc I have with drivers does not download.  I would be grateful for any resolution of this problem.    I'm only a moderate ad user have no knowledge regarding the actual system so need advice step by step.
    Thank you very much

  • Getting the error for MSVCR71.dll missing at startup of windows

Before you install a new HP printer, I uninstalled the old printer software. Since then, whenever I start my computer I get the following error message "the program can't start because MSVCR71.dll is missing on your computer. Try reinstalling the program to fix the problem. "I tried to find solutions online without success. Thanks for the help.

    Original title: MSVCR71dll is missing

    Hi John,.

Thanks for the update on this issue and I apologize for the delay in response.

    1. you have a Windows 7 installation/repair DVD?

It seems that there is a corrupt program that is running in the background and the origin of this error message to the pop-up window. I recommend that you perform the clean boot again and do not start the computer in normal mode. But try to launch all the necessary applications you need.

Clean Boot WARNING: putting your system to the clean boot state helps determine if third-party applications or startup items are causing the problem. You must follow the steps in the article mentioned below to perform a clean boot.

  • msdvcp110.dll missing file error

    msdvcp110.dll missing file error

I'm done with the installation of c ++ redistribution and everything but does not work for ultimate express

Original title: installation of visual studio 2012 on windows 8

    Hi Mike,.

Thanks for posting your query in Microsoft Community.

The error you get can be caused by components from Visual C++ Runtime libraries that are missing or get conflicted, perhaps due to a third party software or badly configured registry settings.

So, I would suggest trying the following steps and check if the problem persists:

    Method 1:

I suggest to install the Visual C++ Redistributable package in the system to boot and try to run the applications:

Step 1: Clean boot of the system.

Put your system to the clean boot state helps determine if third-party applications or startup items are causing the problem. You must follow the steps in the article mentioned below to perform a clean boot.

How to perform a clean boot in Windows

Note: refer to "How to reset the computer to start normally after a boot minimum troubleshooting" to reset the computer to start as usual after a repair.

Step 2: Download the Microsoft Visual C++ 2013 and install.

Click on the link below and install it on your computer.

Package redistributable Visual C++ to Visual Studio 2013

If she fails to install and then try to install the Package redistributable Visual C++ 2010 in compatibility mode. Follow the steps in the link given below to install Visual C++ 2010 redistributable Packages in compatibility mode. Please see the following article:

Make the programs more compatible with this version of Windows

If the problem persists, try the following method.

    Method 2:

Try to run a scan of the file system (CFS) auditor to check corruption of system files in the system. SFC scan will search for system files corrupted on the computer and fix them.

    1. Press the Windows key + X, click prompt (Admin).
    2. In the command prompt, type the following command and press ENTER:
      sfc/scannow

For more information, refer to this link:

Use the System File Checker tool to repair missing or corrupted system files

Hope this information is useful. Let us know if you need more help, we will be happy to help you.

    Hello Lscherr,

Thank you for your message.  To clarify, you are able to print out your design program?  You can try to perform a clean boot and printing of your design program.  A clean boot will start your computer without any 3rd party applications, you can then start your design software and test the printing functionality.  If you are able to print, the problem may be caused by another application of part 3.  Click HERE for instructions to boot.
