  Make sure your drivers are up-to-date (site of the GPU manufacturer). Adobe introduced to ACR 9.0 GPU acceleration and some have experienced this problem. For the most up-to-date drivers fix it. In case of failure, disable the GPU acceleration in Camera Raw preferences.

  Hello. I just downloaded Adobe DNG Converter 6.7 trying to open the CR2 (pictured with G15) files.  But it does not recognize (gray/cannot click) CR2 files.

  I use Mac OS X 10.6.8.  What is confusing, is that I can open the CR2 files in my computer with Photoshop CS4 that I have.  And the CS4 can open most other RAW files.

  I'd appreciate any suggestions, thanks!

  There are essentially 4 different solutions to this common problem with the older PES software:

  (1) upgrade to the latest version 14;  It's not free.

  (2) the software should come with your camera and download pictures on your computer;

  (3) your operating system may have some updates to download images from your camera.

  (4) use Adobe DNG converter and it is still free.  The latest version is:

  Photoshop CS5 is only compatible with Camera Raw to version 6.7. Photoshop CS5 is is no longer updated by Adobe. You will receive updates of these two programs through the creative cloud.

  If you don't want to upgrade your Photoshop you can download and use the DNG Converter last to create digital copies of (DNG) negatives of your raw images. Your new device photo, the 70 d, requires camera Raw 8.2 which is only compatible with Photoshop CS6. Camera Raw 9.2 is only compatible with Photoshop CC 2015, which is only available through the creative cloud. You might want to consider the purchase of 14 Photoshop elements as a complementary program to what you use.

  -upgrade to 13 items, with updates of version 13.1.1
