Do all click on the required boxes before moving on to the next slide

I created a screen with three areas of click and the next button. The learner will need to click on all three before click boxes he can click next to move to the next slide. If they do not click on all three boxes, that they must get a message saying: they need to view all content before continuing. Does anyone know how to program the next button to require the three click on boxes to be clicked before proceeding?

Thanks in advance,

~ A

Issue has been addressed several times in this forum. You don't need to program the next button, but click areas. I guess they don't have to be clicked in order? In this case:

  1. create three user, for each box click variables: v_one, v_two, v_three and give them a default value 0
  2. hide the next button (in the Properties Panel - since I don't know the version, wrong in detail)
  3. for each button click on create an advanced conditional action with two decisions:
    • First decision is a standard simulated action "always."
IF 1 is equal to 1
Assign the v_one with 1 (change of variable in the actions for the other boxes two click v_two, v_three)
    • Second decision checks the value of these three variables
IF v_one is equal to 1 AND
v_two is equal to 1 AND

v_three is equal to 1

See the Bt_Next

Be sure to have the suspension of the next key point later that the point of putting paused click boxes. This means that we need to shorten the timeline of the boxes to click and check the properties of the button sync

    Hello

I have a swf file that has 10 slides.

2 blades have video integrated inside. His works well when I look at continlusly and better bandwidth, but when I tried on lower bandwidth then the video takes time to appear. On average while when clicked on the next slide to ignore the video, overlapping sound happens.

So what are the best way to stop the previous video of the slide with voice so overcome that problem.

    Please let me know.

Have you tried using Insert > FLV or F4V option to see if it works differently to you regarding audio turn off when you switch to the next slide in the file?

Insofar as the loading time of your videos, try adjusting your project to a higher percentage preloader, for example 50% or more.  However, in general, I would say that you don't place video files even moderately heavy on the slides to the beginning of your project.

  • Several boxes click - advance to the next slide, before I want what he

I have 3 boxes click on a slide. Two click boxes open PDFs and the 3rd is a recognition area, which gets clicked after 2 PDF files have been read.

No matter who click on the box I click first, it automatically advances to the next slide. Boxes of 2 click open pdf file just have the "hand cursor" selected and nothing else (see image). The click of recognition box has the "project to break up what the user clicks on" selected.

  • How can I prevent Captivate to advance to the next slide, after the end of the audio and I click on click to show/hide sidebar box?

I currently have a slide that plays audio.  While usage is listening to the narration that I can click on three different click the boxes with advanced actions to open and close text boxes, I want the user to read the value.  When reading narrative ends and I'll click on the boxes to click to read a text box, it moves to the next slide.  I understand that I may have to replace the box with smart buttons click but I don't know how to stop the progression to the next slide.  I already have a next button that is put on pause until the user clicks.  Any help would be greatly appreciated.  I'm on a tight schedule.

Quickly, I created a sample file, just have a slide with three form buttons that act as the toggles and a next button. The first three buttons break late exactly at the same time and the next button.

Since it's the slide by clicking the audio stops no audio at all (common misunderstanding). I created a shared action, with the purpose to display and the variable (mine are labeled v_one instead of v_visib) as parameters:

StarOne is what you want to show/hide. You can click on infinite time on each key to show/hide this element. He won't interfere not audio, once he started playing he will continue. When the audio is finished, you can still continue to click. Just click on the next button will advance to the next slide. It's my calendar

No need to rewind the playback head in this case at all.

You can check the Advanced Interaction Panel? You have a note attached to the interactive objects in the simulation? If so, check the desired option Quiz, more specific preferences.

    Hello

My guess is that you have to 'Continue', chosen as the action of the clickable object. You probably want to change the action 'go to the next slide.

  • End - user to use a rolling caption before you can proceed to the next slide

    Hello.

I have a legend of rolling I want that the learner to use before they can move to the next slide.  I don't know if I need to use a tip action or would it be better to use a click box.  Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Don't apologize, I know that there is no breakthrough book around anywhere. Maybe once I take my courage and start with it. I am using Captivate version 1 on, but really plunged into it with version 4.

Have tried so much to persuade users to replace the old buttons by form buttons, not only on my blog, Twitter, LinkedIn, YouTube, but also at webinars for Adobe. For your case, either you have buttons shape on a slide, and indeed, you are right, in this case, you do not to apply this model of slides to the first/last slide. But you can also time such a button for the rest of the project. Which allows much more control because you will be able to start the Back only on the second slide button, and to hide the next button on the last slide because you have an identifier for keys that is not the case for the buttons on Master slides.

OK, so you have the button next with his ID on this slide, it is possible to hide or - if you want to keep it visible, which I find a bit confusing to users, to 'turn off' on the slide. Deactivation will keep the visible button, but no what will be a click on it either. Hiding or disabling can be done with a simple action (Action accordion) for the event on enter on this slide.

For your popup: create a simple text container (either a legend or... once again a form) and make it invisible by uncheck Visible output in the properties panel, branded this PopupTxt. I turn the text "See list" in an interactive object by putting a box to click on it.  To succeed in this click box, create an advanced action standard which will look like this:

    • See the PopupTxt
    • See the BtNext (where you use the ID of the next button on this slide)

If you have disabled the Next button, not hidden, put another box to click on it. Having a pop up warning, have another WarningTxt text container (use a bubble shape? I'm the Evangelist of forms) with this warning, make it invisible as well start with. To this click box, I think you need the warning that only once, so create another standard action for its event of success:

    • See the WarningTxt
    • Hide the Click box

And the click box on the «view complete list»

    • See the PopupTxt
    • Activate BtNext (where you use the ID of the next button on this slide)

    Hope this helps?

  • Button click slide 1st time, opens URL. Click on the 2nd time, URL opens and jumps to the next slide.

    Well, I'm really confused here!

I have a project that is created where on a screen, I www.xxxx.com and I put a button transparent, so when someone clicks on it, it opens a new window and opens the URL.

    This works.

Here's the question, when I got back to the project and click on the link for the SECOND time, it always opens a new window with the URL, but it ALSO moves to the next slide. Nuts!

Can someone tell me what could happen? It's so weird!

Here is a screenshot on the properties of the button and the blade in the bottom of the screen.

    Button Working Incorrectly Options.PNG

    Hello

    A number of things here.

First of all, I would never use a Transparent button. Try a Click Box.

Second, when you added the URL there is also an option to 'continue the project to play. " You guarantee that was unchecked?

  • When I click on the Accordion widget it goes to the next slide.  I just want to let the 'response' to the show and then go on the following does not slip

I'm building an Accordion widget with four bars.  When I saw it, and then click the 'question' the 'answer' is displayed for a second but then moves to the next slide and does not give me the time to click on the other bars.

I compared to another Accordion widget that works fine and the sync settings are the same but works perfectly.  Any suggestions?  Thank you

  • Why my project does not hesitate a second before moving on to the next slide?

    Hello

I have a problem on the first slide on my project.  When I press a button to move to the next slide, the audio for the second slide comes immediately as it should, but the project hesitates about a second before it ahead on the second slide.  This only happens with my first slide...

    Any ideas?

Looks like there could be something heavy on this second slide that needs to load.  Any graphics or widgets or interactions it?  Have you checked the weight?

It has several images and it's interactive so that if someone wants to go to the next slide it can do this by clicking a button. I want my slideshow to AutoPlay, but also be interactive by giving the opportunity to slide hollow by clicking an arrow button I created. So far, I've seen many tutorials which were then "image button" but not one that auto plays. I also have a previous image "button that should go to the previous slide. Any ideas on how to make this work?

    Thank you!

You can set your slideshow to AutoPlay, but you can always add events click on your buttons and it will work as well.

  • Go to the next slide - problem!

    Hello world

First thing: I'm not an expert in Captivate, but I learn every day to use this great software... so please, be patient

    QUESTION:

I am trying to generate a course, very small and simple, but I have a problem: when I click on "Preview", I see that each slide appears after the previous. I need to let the user decide when he wants to move forward!
Example: I have to generate a slide requiring 2 min of reading, but after this time, it is important to stop Auto progression. I chose not to show the progress bar but the problem remains.

All commands in a standard advanced action will be executed in sequence. If you want to display an image, you need to allow time for the user to see the image before the read head moves to the next slide. If you are on 9 Captivate, you can use the command 'delay next actions. " An easy way that can also be used on previous versions:

    • Create the button with just the simple command continue
    • Start the chronology of the image just after the point of suspension of the button
    • Extend the chronology of the image until the end of the slide (CTRL-E)
    • Estimate how much time the chronology of the image must be.
    • When the playhead is released by the click of a button, the image will appear and playhead moves until the end of the slide, and then go to the next slide
