  • Windows Installer pop ups appear whil running my application

I am currently doing demonstrations ThinApp.  I was able to create simple applications (IE7, 7Zip, ect) but I have a problem with a more complex application.  The application I'm talking about is called Raisers Edge (not sure that matters).  When you run the installation executable, it seeks the prerequisite applications, installs what you need, then installs the main application.  There are the prerequisite applications so that it checks MDAC 2.8, Dot Net 2.0, VB 2627.01, Crystal XI Runtime.  We always run quite a few Windows 2000 machines so I created the ThinApp on an own W2K VM.  The application runs, but I get these Installer Windows pop ups every time that the application loads or I make a request.  The pop - ups more like hot flashes that disappear without closing them.  I do not see the same condition on the machine that I captured the installation on.  The package is large (1.6 GB).  I don't know if it's part of the problem?

If I remember correctly, you can add:

    VirtualizeExternalOutOfProcessCOM = 1

to the package.ini and it will work. If not, try = 0.

    Kind regards

  • I put my Firefox settings to block pop-ups. He is currently working. What should I do?

I'm still be annoyed with the pop - ups constant. I like to use Firefox, but I switch to another browser if I can't get this resolved.

Try Firefox SafeMode to see how it works there.
A way of solving problems, which disables most of the modules.

The problems of Firefox in Mode safe

    When in Safe Mode...

    • The State of plugins is not affected.
    • Custom preferences are not affected.
    • All extensions are disabled.
    • The default theme is used, without a character.
    • userChrome.css and userContent.css are ignored.
    • The layout of the default toolbar is used.
    • The JIT Javascript compiler is disabled.
    • Hardware acceleration is disabled.

You can open the mode without failure of Firefox 15.0 + by pressing the SHIFT key when you use Firefox for desktop or the shortcut on the start menu.

Or use the Help menu option, click on restart with the disabled... modules while Firefox is running.

To exit safe mode of Firefox, simply close Firefox and wait a few seconds before using the shortcut of Firefox (without the Shift key) to open it again.

  • How to stop all pop-ups

For some reason, each link (or javascript), I opened, even on google and similar websites, opens a pop-up.
It is not a malware issue, I checked with Windows Defender, Nortor, Bitdefender and Kaspersky.
I know that when Firefox keeps opening pop ups, it gives a warning and an option to enable it anyway... So, can given the amount of pop-up windows that I use, I stop all pop-up windows ('good' and 'bad') to appear?

    https://addons.Mozilla.org/en-us/Firefox/addon/Adblock-Plus/
You can configure to ask first when it blocks a popup and you can check if it is a 'good' or 'Bad' pop-up.

  • Are the modules the SMEs as the pop ups?

Your 'help' sites speak of Add-ons. This morninng, that I could not open an E-mail because the quick scoring on screen says that my "pop-ups" were blocked.

    Hi Marie-Céline,

Add - ons are not the same as pop-ups. Find and install add-ons to add functionality to Firefox gives you more information on the modules. They are similar to applications that add additional functionality to Firefox. The blocker is simply a tool used to prevent websites to open a new window without your permission. If you encounter a problem with the blocker, take a look at the article the blocker, exceptions and troubleshooting settings. It will show you how to use and manage the popup blocker in Firefox.

    Hope this helps!

  • How can I remove proscan and warning pop ups

whenever I boot, ihave to fight through proscan and security pop ups

If you don't like the proscan popups, uninstall proscan.  Where did you find proscan (website)?  The name exactly does not inspire confidence, that is not itself malware.  Most of the applications "speed up your computer" not to sell anything, or instead while trying to you something else that will do "even better".

What exactly you see?  Remember, we do not see your monitor, you will need to describe it in some detail.

    Don't paraphrase error messages.

Often the pop-ups 'Security' are the result of malware, it is therefore important for you to explain what application gives to these messages and what the messages say.

    Hello

Search for malware, if necessary using the safe mode with networking.

    http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/tutorials/how-to-start-Windows-in-safe-mode/#Vista

    Windows Vista

    Using the F8 method:

    1. Restart your computer.
    2. When the computer starts, you will see your computer hardware are listed. When you see this information begins to tap the F8 key repeatedly until you are presented with the Boot Options Advanced Windows Vista.
    3. Select the Safe Mode with networking with the arrow keys.
    4. Then press enter on your keyboard to start mode without failure of Vista.
    5. To start Windows, you'll be a typical logon screen. Connect to your computer and Vista goes into safe mode.
    6. Do whatever tasks you need and when you are done, reboot to return to normal mode.

Once in Safe Mode with network, download and run RKill.

RKill does NOT remove the malware; It stops the Malware process that gives you a chance to remove it with your security programs.

Then, download, install, update and scan your system with the free version of Malwarebytes AntiMalware in Mode safe mode with networking:

  • How can I remove pop ups look bad when I turn on my computer

How can I remove pop ups look bad when I turn on my computer

    Hi Semone31,

    ·         What is the full pop-up message?

    ·         You did changes to the computer before the show?

Follow the suggestions below for a possible solution:

Method 1: I suggest you perform the clean boot and check.

Place the computer in a clean boot state, then check if it helps. You can start Windows by using a minimal set of drivers and startup programs. This type of boot is known as a "clean boot". A clean boot helps eliminate software conflicts.

How to troubleshoot a problem by performing a clean boot in Windows Vista or in Windows 7

    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/929135

Note: After troubleshooting, be sure to configure the computer to start as usual as mentioned at step 7 of the article mentioned above.

Method 2: I also suggest that you scan your computer with the Microsoft Security Scanner, which would help us to get rid of viruses, spyware and other malicious software.

The Microsoft Security Scanner is a downloadable security tool for free which allows analysis at the application and helps remove viruses, spyware and other malware. It works with your current antivirus software.

    http://www.Microsoft.com/security/scanner/en-us/default.aspx

Note: The Microsoft Safety Scanner ends 10 days after being downloaded. To restart a scan with the latest definitions of anti-malware, download and run the Microsoft Safety Scanner again.

Important: During the scan of the hard drive if bad sectors are found, the scanner tries to repair this sector, all available on which data may be lost.

Let us know if that helps.

  • 2 pop Ups When I on my laptop Fujitsu T4220 - open file security warning

IM using a Fujitsu T4220 Tablet. I had to reinstore my os, Win Vista.

Now, whenever I start my laptop there are 2 appears that appear.

    1 pop up is:

    Security warning opening the file

    Name: C:/Windows/System32/hkcmd.exe
    Publisher: Intel Corporation
    Type: Application
    From: C:/Windows/System32/hkcmd.exe

    The 2nd jump upwards is:

    Security warning opening the file

    Name: C:/Windows/System32/igfxpers.exe
    Publisher: Intel Corporation
    Type: Application
    From: C:/Windows/System32/igfxpers.exe

I have 2 possibilities to run or cancel.

One can help to to get rid of this 2 pop ups plx.

Go to http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/sysinternals/bb963902.aspx and install and run Autoruns and go to the tab all and check the files referred to in your message.  If you find them, uncheck the boxes to keep them from start to start, and then click OK.  Reboot and messages should be gone.

If this does not work, try a boot minimum http://support.microsoft.com/kb/929135.  If the problem goes away then it's just a matter of tracking down the culprit at the origin of the problem.   Follow the procedures described in the article.  Once found, remove, delete, disable or uninstall.  Once remember to put Vista in normal status, as described in the procedures. If the problem occurs in clean mode then just restore the system to normal and reboot - this solution will not work.

Start in safe mode with network and see if the problem is here.  A result allows us to narrow down the search for the cause.

I hope this helps.  Keep me posted.

    Good luck!
