Do I need a converter or a transformer to use my Macbook Pro South Africa to the United States?

I'm in South Africa and will soon travel to the United States and that will take my Macbook Pro with me. My point is different from that of the American decision-making point. I know that the South Africa and America are working on different voltages (works on electricity different "schemes"). I'll be able to keep my charger and just change the plug to an American (he will take tension)? Or do I need to get a converter?

Please let me know.

Thank you.

Charel R
