  More detailed description... This seems to be a MIME type problem with APEX (or maybe DB) release management.  The following code works as expected when run in mode ' 4.1 Pre'-IE.» It displays a PDF document in Acrobat appropriate / another plugin in several browsers (Firefox, Opera, Chrome, IE).  But just by changing 'Compatibility Mode' TI ' 4.2 "(ou encore «4.1"), then download the file but it appears like a bunch of random characters, and the web page header type MIME is "text/HTML". "."

  Note: this also happens with other types of files such as doc/xls/etc, but I would expect pricing PDF should also fix these.

  I'm a bit of a loss as to where this is the case, it seems that there is a difference in "Compatibility Modes" between the creation of the header HTML using "OWA_UTIL.mime_header" or the path of the component it goes through before coming to apache.

  The only other thing I could think is that we do a little redirection to display the PDF file, although it seems like it might be a Kipper.  Basically, we use page 560 as a container and then view the PDF with page 561 in an embeded frame within page 560.  So we have, on page 560, which is the one that we reference throughout the application, a region with a source of "& lt;" IFRAME src =? p = & APP_ID.:561: & SESSION.height = "500" width = "700" & gt & lt; / iframe & gt < / pre > '.  Then on page 561, in a process "We charge - before header", we call 'DOWNLOAD_APPLICANT_PDF' code (below).

  Note: I tried to call "apex_application.stop_apex_engine" after "DOWNLOAD_APPLICANT_PDF", as suggested by a few threads, but it does not solve the problem and caused some low-level system errors.

  Found the solution and quite painfully simple... just need to make the following call before defining the HTML header information:

  I sanned a word in Word document, but it comes out garbled. I can't encrypt. So I scanned in my pictures as a .jpeg it comes out perfect, but now I can't change it, (when you click edit, the screen goes into 'Paint').  Then I will try to change the type of a .doc so that I can add it to the floor.  I think that I did once, but I don't remember how I did it.   Yes, you can just change the extension and not expect to convert an image file into a text file.

  you will need an OCR software to convert images into editable text documents.

  If you have microsoft office, then you've already built in OCR and the ability to scan and convert images to text for msword.

  History...

  I saw a tutorial online on how to change the icons of any file (text, folder, programs)
  In addition to the normal way to do it:

  The normal route was right - click folder, text, program or folder etc-> choose Properties > then choose Change icon

  The new way that I learned how to do that was - go to folder options in the control panel > choose the 'file types' tab > find folder icon, click on it > choose Advanced Options > then choose Change icon.

  The reason for me wanting to do other then the normal way is because I would like to point out that all RECORDS USE DIFFERENT TYPE of ICON RATHER THEN DEFAULT UGLY OF THAT folder BROWN ICON that windows XP USES

  the problem starts here... to (go into folder options in Control Panel > choose the 'file types' tab > find folder icon, click on it > choose Advanced Options > then choose Change icon.)

  Note that these are two icon files: the 'Change icon' button is available and highlighted on a launched the Advanced button, but not on the other...

  If you use a laptop, then most likely the question after the upgrade or downgrade from windows 7 would be penetrating touchpad. My suggestions would be to try to reduce the penetrating touchpad using the touchpad control console and check.

  Alternatively, you can also try and updaate drivers touchpad of the website manufufacturer and check if the problem persists,

  I have a cube with 3 measures everything from type NUMBER because they are the Source.

  If you select the data cells on the Bulletin Board of cube and click the toolbar with the 00 and arrow from left to right, this will add a decimal point, if you keep clicking top will add another etc.

• BlackBerry Smartphones new user with a doc go problem

  I upgraded my OS to 4.5 on my Curve 8330 and got the docs to go without excel. I set excel as has been stated in one of the threads but now when trying to get HTML put in place I lost the game excel (my incompetence not the HTML process). I tried to remove the battery to reset and it did not work. I tried to restore from a date earlier and who does not. I tried to register again, and I don't have this option. Does anyone know how can I get it back? Thank you.

• Incompatible data type problem in the ADF

  I'm new to ADF. I'm writing a logic in the implementation of the entity class.

  However when compiling, error comes which says 'incompatible data types' that is the integer and the number are not compatible.

• EPMA - invalid member for Plan Type problem

  In the dimension of the Version, we have a member named "Flash worm". We want that it to be valid for the Type of Plan 2 only not Plan Type 1. However the boxes to change this are 'grey '. Any ideas how to fix this?

  I do not think the scenarios or Versions can be isolated to a single plan type. What is the business case behind it all? I wonder if there might be a workaround solution related to safety.

  I use class in Flash FileReference to download a file with a ColdFusion page. I use the cffile tag in coldfusion and I can determine what files will be accepted with 'accept' argument. But Flash is sending as application/octet-stream content type always! It is not safe to watch the extension only. It is therefore misleading to coldfusion!   Is there a solution to this issue?

  Flash always uses the MIME type of the octect stream whatever the file is transferred.  You should not rely on the MIME type or accept attribute of CFFILE to safety.  The MIME type is set by the client to submit the file.  A malicious user could drop a CFM file with a different MIME type and bypass the safety devices that rely on the verification of the MIME types.  You should check the file extension and/or the content of the file on the server side.

  You cannot use local collection types in SQL. You must create a bin_array of type like nested SQL table type. In addition, depending on the version you will not cast:

  The only real option at this stage is DynoPlex eOffice. I used it and I didn't like the interface, but your experience may vary.

  In June (I think) DataViz is about to release their application DocumentsToGo. Screenshots, it seems, to me, to be a better offer.

• I can't open the files .doc attached to mail.

  After the upgrade to the latest version (31.6.00); I can't open the .doc files.
  I use Open Office 4.1.1.
  No problem with .xls, or .pdf files. But my sent email attachments or attachments in incoming mails .doc type can be opened by clicking on them. I have the first record on the computer to open the file that takes too long.

• Replacement of a special character for word files and convert docx to doc

  Hello!

  I'm developing a tool for our team. Withouth as much detail that I have to watch a lot of special characters in a Word file (docx, but I should also convert doc, but later on this topic) than these special characters with others to change.

  For example, word replaces... with a character, but other software we can't handle this character. So now I have an excel spreadsheet that has special characters in one column and those I want to replace them by in the next. One who is now a constant loop is the replacement of the... with... (with a space between the two points)

  The small tool worked very well on a test document where I just dropped in all the characters I want replaced. I tried with the doc type should be used on and it starts an infinite loop of spamming characters. I will attach a picture of the sniplet of code and an image of what it does in the document now.

  Can someone help me with this? I tried increment the range after that I found something but it does not change the problem. I can't join the VI unfortunately.

  I also convert the docx files doc files (I think that the 2007 version?) If anyone can help with this? So far, I have tried to do a macro in word and use an activex magic to copy the macro, but I hit hard walls everywhere...
