  We work closely with Oracle Essbase spreadsheet Add-in Version 9.3 and we have some problems after the upgrade to Office 2013.

• I can't connect to Oracle Essbase of SmartView

  Hello.

  When we open SmartView of Excel 2010 and connect to shared connections with the "admin" account, we do not see "Oracle Essbase" option to select. This happens in the development environment. In the production environment, we can select "Oracle Essbase' in the menu dropdown.

  Could check you if provider services is enabled in the settings of the workspace.

  And try again connect you in the workspace and then open excel and see if you are able to see the Essbase connection.

  Make sure that the user has admin access or changes by admin id.

• Why no CF11 care techniques or white papers?

  I received an email marketing CF11 today from Adobe with the subject: "Adobe ColdFusion 11: much more to discover!  So I clicked on the link at the bottom for white papers and other resources.  I was surprised, there is no data sheets, whitepapers or anything about CF11 here Data sheets and white papers | Adobe ColdFusion 11 family.  Why not?  Makes it seem like Adobe doesn't care.  It is particularly odd given that it is in an email promo specially for CF11 asking me to 'explorer', but there is nothing to explore.  It's comments to the Adobe marketing.  Thanks for listening.

  I need to install ESSBASE CLIENT to run MaxL to load data to essbase sever, but when I downloaded the essbase 11.1.2 client I found no executable files, there are a bunch of files assembly.dat. Please tell me how to install Essbase Client.

  You will need to download the installer, part 1 of the Foundation and the essbase client, check out the files in the same directory and run installtool.cmd

• SmartView 11.1.1.3 access Oracle Essbase

  Hyperion Planning 11.1.1.2 Application created. I have created several forms of data. Able to open fact data through SmartView and data are correct. Interested in connection Essbase to use Ad - Hoc Reporting. I make the connection to Oracle Essbase and forest down to the application databases. I select record application and the POV window appears. I am able to select members to identify the members of my report. When all have been selected, I hit refresh, but no data appears. I use the Admin login to perform these steps. Is there a missing step or the required security settings. On my data form for the record, I am able to see all the data.

  The first thing I would check would be possibly option "navigate without data. If it is enabled, disable it could make a difference.

  As Craig said, move the staging area out the SUNOPSIS MEMORY ENGINE initially. This should only be considered if you are mobile / transform small amounts of data (including 50 million lines isn't :-)).) Why you do not set the staging on your Source Oracle DB in this way, you remove an unnecessary data movement i.e. the LKM and don't rely on memory in engine.

  Features of Oracle and tools for replication for reporting purposes (database open read only or read / write) that I know are Golden Gate and Data Guard.

  Oracle Golden Gate is also able to extract and load.

  Oracle was ORacle replication and components in older versions.

  Do you know another new feature or tool that can provide a similar or better solution (replication, open database for reporting purpose and the simple ETL solution)?

  Yes it can. There are people who have a primary with several databases on hold. A watch is used for DR purposes and is often in a location away from the primary. Another standby is used to generate reports and can be physically close to the primary.

  You can open your database physical standby mode READ ONLY to generate reports. Note that mode READ ONLY, the waiting will not request again. If at some point, you must give the day before in managed recovery mode to get "caught up."

  There is an optional product called Active Data Guard, which allows you to have the day before in READ ONLY mode * and * applies to restore at the same time.

  There is not a utility that I know, it'll do what you ask, your best way is to write some sql to retrieve the details supporting information, transform to be correct, clear and load reconnect.
