  You do not have to install a patch, simply because it is staged... it will just sit there until this used during a reorganization or the cache is cleared.  If you want to clear the cache, delete files/directories under/var/cache/esxupdate patch (if I remember correctly the path).

  I think that this question is a little different from the others posted. I am not connected to iMessage on my phone. I think my MacBook is my Apple ID associated with it, but I've not logged in the App, and I already turned off all the boxes of banners/badges/alerts and unchecked everything in system preferences > Notifications menu.

  However, the question that I find annoying, everytime I go to iMessage on my iPhone application appears at the bottom of the screen on my Mac, even if I am not logged in. There is nothing in common with my Mac, but its boring whenever I'm Messaging on my iPhone application appears on my MacBook, and I watch my Mac to see whats moving on the screen but its just letting me know that I have the app open on my iPhone iMessage.
