• Objects of the library in Illustrator CC 2015 NOT clipping masks?

  The functionality of dynamic links in Illustrator CC 2015 library is cool. However, our internal wired kit includes a number of model objects that are used at best when they can be dragged and edited as a specific instance. The process was EASY on the iteration of 2014. Unfortunately, now, all the objects are nested inside the clipping masks, requiring at least 4 distinct steps to clean before they can be customized.

I'm doing a clipping mask to a group of numbers in the form of letters. Is a big pile of numbers with overlap I just seem to be in the form of an A and a B. All that happens is everything becomes a white fill.

  I have already tried/is:

  -Selected all

  -Tried grouped and not separated, no difference

  -Vectorization of text creation

  -Numbers flattened/expanded

  -Statements/flattened numbers merged in a vector

  -Created transparent traces (everything turned white again)

  -Copied and pasted into a new file (still turned all white)

  -Clipping for layer mask

  -Ctrl + 7 clipping mask

  -Tried to place the letters in front of and behind the numbers, separately and at the same time

  -Pixelated battery number

  -Make sure my letters have not merged with numbers

  Just for fun, I tried to make another mask for clipping on a string of digits indicated and a hexagon. It worked perfectly fine. I would try to divide everything, but because the numbers are all in a big mess, it would take waaay too long to get the look I want. Can anyone suggest what else I could try?

  There are two types of clipping masks. Object, it automatically creates a group. The second is a mask of base layer. This is not a group, but rather of all the objects on a given layer clips.

  If I (put) correctly, you should be able to get the opacity mask to work as follows:

  Select (only) the White path and the mixture and then in the transparency palette flyout on create with unchecked Clip opacity mask and mask invert checked.

  Who must hide the inner part of the mixture corresponding to the white circle and let the front remains visible oin the background (circle and all that.)

  I have a vector skull and bone crossed on top of several images. I want the images to become the shape of the skull and bone crossed, so I have them under the skull of vector in the layer group and I select the skull and the images and go to object > clipping mask > Make, but he makes everything disappear.   What happens if you:

  (1) select all / any mutually overlapping bony parts and Pathfinder > unit.

  (2) select all parts of the os and the object > compound path > make.

  (3) select all and object > clipping mask > make?

• Why the opacity mask texture does not work?

  I am trying to add a texture to a vector shape in Illustrator and I am doing it by creating an opacity mask. I try to use textures of paper for this. For some reason, it does not. First, I tried to paste the texture after clicking on the area of opacity mask in the transparency window. It didn't work, so I tried a suggestion I saw in the forum and stacked two layers, as you would for a clipping mask and some times and it still doesn't work. Instead of a paper texture, rectangle remains a solid color. I thought that this could be because the documents I used were too subtle, a texture so I tried to use a stronger texture. • Clipping mask will not work on PDF or print

  I have a file which has applied a clipping mask. When sent to print or read in PDF format the clipping mask does not work.

  Here is a screenshot of the version I, then the PDF file (and which appears also when printing).

  Someone saw of what causes it and how it can be fixed?

  

  

  It resembles a well-organized file, but if you go in the tracks mode it looks like a file of hell :-)

  The problem seems to be caused by clipping masks which are made from a unique anchor point.

  Unlock all layers. Choose the command selection > objects > stray Points and remove them.

  The features of problem will become visible, as well as in Acrobat.

  Now to my question. In my project have a key of track matte on top a video with a mask on top of it. A bit like that: '24 Kiefer Sutherland - type' edition. It worked fine for me in other projects. However, in this particular case, I set motion keyframes on the mask but it only begins to move somewhere else later key frames are defined. Pushing forward keyframes as workaround does not give a nice result. No idea what could be the problem here? I'm editting a project of 1920 x 1080 and the mask has the same dimensions. The update for first mentions something on Facebook that I don't care so I don't think a bug is removed with this upgrade and I'm afraid of updates will slow down my work flow (as was the case with the last update of Lightroom for me...)

  But unfortunately we have English.

  You cannot adjust the video in the mask without either skew (which you did by changing the height and width) image or cropping. And the latter is your best option IMO.

  So nest the two clips with the transition.

  Draw a rectangular white in the Titler the same size when the video is supposed to go.

  The value hidden by approach the sequence embedded in the main timeline to track 2

  Add the wanted poster for track 3.

  In the nested sequence itself reduce you the video and the still picture (probably up to 50-60%) but do not uncheck the uniform scale and set the position.

  To get this just the mask on the video down and drop the opacity so you can see what you do, when done to remove or push the eyeball.

  Hi willpublx, when you have selected never "remember history" in the privacy options so you are actually in 'permanent private browsing mode' and that there will be an extra mask icon to indicate that.
