Does not save on Mybook after waking up

My Macbook Pro recognizes my WD my book for Mac external hard drive when booting, and I can make manual backups.  However, after the computer wakes from sleep mode the backup fails and I should use WD Unlocker in the Finder menu to unlock the drive again.  But even after unlocking the drive, backup always fails and I get the message "unable to backup complete. An error occurred when creating the backup folder".  In the "Energy Saver" preferences, I ' put to sleep when possible, hard disks "selected.  The difference between the modes 'stop' and 'sleep' computer is that the WD drive activity light is off in the former and flashing slowly in the latter.  Is there a way to stop the backup drive when the computer is in mode 'sleep' and re-enable it when the awakening of the mode standby so that I can make backups automatically?

If you use WD's proprietary software, you must then contact WD support. https://support.wdc.com/

In general I advise to format a new drive to remove all proprietary software provided with the WD drives and go with a known entity: How to create a clone of startup

Firefox 4 does not save form data after sending form and pressing the back button... It's very annoying that it erases all data. It worked fine on FF3.

    See:

    • Firefox or tools > Options > privacy > History: "don't forget to search and form history."
  • Firefox 4 does not save tabs even after that I have the settings to display the message "save and exit".

As the title suggests. Basically after I changed the settings using the "topic: config" method and ONLY the parameters of the topic support told me to change Firefox 4 still does not actually save the legs after leaving. After the reset just FF4 restarts me to my home page. Now, I try only to save anywhere between 2 and 5 to the more tabs.

Firefox 4 saves the previous session automatically, so it is no longer necessary for the dialog box asking if you want to save the current session.

You can use "Firefox > history > restore previous Session" for the previous session.

There is also a button 'Restore previous Session' on the default on: Home home page.
    Another possibility is to use:

    • Tools > Options > general > startup: "When Firefox starts": "show my windows and tabs from last time '.

If this does not work check that you do not run Firefox in permanent mode of private - browsing using Firefox without saving history .

  • Computer does not have a password after waking up from his sleep.

To start, I have a laptop Windows 8. I have my laptop set whenever I close the lid, it is supposed to go to mode "Eve" and require a password when I lift up. It does not require a password when I lift the lid and I know for a fact that I have a password set for the characters, fingerprints and photograph, and none of them appear. Simply open up like nothing ever happened. Maybe it's because he's going to do nothing when I close the lid, even if I put it in sleep mode. I don't know if I have accidentally deleted a file or changed a setting, or if I have a virus, but it continues to be.

It's okay, I discovered that it was a virus or something, but now it is deleted.

  • Firefox does not save the tabs after the upgrade of Microsoft Silverlight.

A Web site that I visited recently demanded that I update to the latest version of Silverlight. I did it, and Firefox said it had to be restarted. When I restarted Firefox, even if she asked me to save my tabs this initial reboot, my tabs have not been saved. Now, every time I close Firefox, the warning that I am about to close x number of tabs appears, and there is no option to save my tabs. Clearly, the Silverlight upgrade has been the cause of this error, but how to re - activate the option to save the tabs?

You can check the startup parameter:

Tools > Options > general > startup: startup of Firefox:

Show my windows and tabs from last time

    Show my home page

  • After upgrade to Vista, the desktop Setup does not save, but he returned each time unwanted installation

My computer (laptop) did an automatic update of Vista. Since the restart, he lost all cookies, and all applications have behaved as if they were never used.  The files are OK. I had to reset the desktop resolution because it came with something too big. But it does not save the installation program, every time that the computer starts again (even after having his sleep), the office returns in a default setting that I don't like.  Why didn't he save properly?  I have to back to the resolution I love every time. The aspect ratio of the sidebar is also evil in this default value. The clock appears as an oval, for example. I must go to the video driver every time, set the desktop resolution seems correct.  In addition, the sidebar doesn't seem to have an option to display seamlessly, but is a big silver margin is too large for my taste.
My office was working great before the upgrade, now he isn't very good at all.  How can I fix it so it will stay the way I like it?

Thank you very much for your answer.  I solved this problem.  He has been
caused by the last windows update. I think that the file was KB2524375. I have
uninstalled and everything is back to normal. The windows update (which
says he has been recommended by Microsoft) completely changes the configuration, disable
Aero, etc. so changes can not be made.
There is no error message, it was as if he superimposed a very primitive
version of windows. Of course, I do not recommend this update.
Anyway, it's fixed and I'm so happy!

    Thank you!

  • I put my facebook home page, but it does not save my email address in the login box after that I leave Firefox.

I set as my Facebook home page, but when I quit Firefox and return, it does not save my login (e-mail address) so I have to retype it each time. It did not used to be like that. When I go on Facebook using AOL it still works.

My subscription to Norton has been recently updated and this problem seems to coincide with that. Is there a link?

Click on the Orange Firefox button and click Options-> privacy-> History section-> will of Firefox: select "Remember history."

    Hey aur1m4z,

Have you looked at the section of the Base names of users and passwords are not saved ? There are lots of good information in there.

If it's only a particular site, you experience problems with, you can also delete cookies from this site in order to make the site you not forget if you have created a remember me cookie by visiting to Tools > Options > privacy > Cookies: "Show Cookies" that there could be a "don't remember" cookie for this site.

    Hope this helps!

Do not remove the navigation, search and download history on Firefox to clear the "Site preferences".

Compensation of the "Site Preferences" clears all exceptions for cookies, images, windows pop up, installation of software and passwords.
