Well, I called HP and the representative asked me what it was that I did my best to explain the problem. then the representative asked me to go to hp drivers and downloads and install the download of radeon graphics. then he asked me about the Bios I looked at using fn and ESC keys (something I learned later). I got F.08 and the site had F.07. I had the laptop for about 1 month and it came with F.08. He asked me that I must downgrade Bios and should solve the problem. Well, the problem is worse or I guess that just as bad, my computer is very slow at startup (ridiculously slow). I'm very angry because he wants me to back up my computer which is 90 GB of back up. Because he said that the next step to do some tweeking to the computer would delete everything from my computer. 90 Go to back to the top! (with no files or movies, or music, but only the programs), it's like a ton of DVD! He said he would call me the next day and we were going to take these measures of course I ignored the call and have done research since then what is my problem. Now I come to find out if the computer would have brick because of the demotion of the bios that I can not have been covered by my warranty. I really need help; to help the erroneous and constant issues as my laptop is it for 1 month and want! I really need someone who knows what about and I need someone to save my memory not me trying to figure out if what they say in service the customer is correct or not. I hope this is the right forum for this to HP help me solve this problem with my laptop, I studied the issue with my laptop computer and asked around and everyone told me that this is not a software problem or the tweeks rep spoke of will not to solve the problem is to have my computer and they believe is a hardware problem. Help, please.

  Since it is a laptop, there is no removable video card. It is integrated. The issue you described is a clear indication of the hardware problem. Instead of having to use high too much DVDs to make a comeback to the top, suggest you use an external hard drive, which must be connected to the computer via the USB connection. Make sure you buy the hard drive of larger size than the laptop. Once the backup is complete, send it to HP for replacement parts.

I took my macbook to the mac store and they could not always understand why it does not work.  They said that maybe there is a bug with the new silverlight.   Any suggestions

• System Recovery Options - no operating system listed, need to load the drivers, but don't know where to find this (Windows Vista 64-bit)

  It is a gateway M6866 laptop running Windows Vista 64-bit.

  The computer does not start up--gives "BOOTMRG is missing" error at startup.  I'm trying to boot from the 64-bit of Windows Vista recovery disc.  I clicked on the "repair your computer" option, and it shows the computer loading files.  Then the "System Recovery Options" box appears and asks me to select the operating system to fix it.  The problem is that nothing has listed.  It is said that if your OS is not listed click Load Drivers.  I did, but it is said to insert the device installation media, and then click OK to select the driver.  I clicked on OK and then opens a browser window to select the file.

  I don't know which file I'm supposed to select here.  I searched online for an answer, and someone told him to go to the computer manufacturer's website and download the driver for RAID controller.  I tried to go to the site of the bridge to find it, but it doesn't seem to be one for Vista 64-bit.

  Please please help!  I have to at least be able to extract the files to the hard drive before reinstalling windows.

  ·        Have you Configure RAID on the system?

  If you have not configured then RAID on the system, I suggest you to disable the RAID/eSATA (SATA improved) in the BIOS. Once you turn off the RAID/eSATA on the system that your basic hard disk should be recognized by the system because it doesn't require any drivers, it will act as an IDE. Once you have disabled the RAID/eSATA then booting into the recovery environment and build the Bootrec and check if the problem is resolved. I suggest you follow the steps mentioned below to rebuild the bootrec.

  Rebuild the BCD store by using the Bootrec.exe tool in the Windows recovery environment. To do this, follow these steps:

  a. get the Vista installation DVD and pop in your drive.

  b. then restart your computer.

  c. press a key when you are prompted.

  d. Select a language, a time, a currency, and a keyboard or another input method, and then hitNext

  e. click on repair your computer

  f. click the operating system you want to repair, and then click Next

  g. in the System Recovery Options dialog box, click command prompt

  h. type bootrec /rebuildbcd and then press the Enter"" key.

  ·        If Bootrec runs successfully, it will present you with the installation of a Windows directory path. To add the entry in the BCD store, type Yes. A confirmation message appears that indicates the entry has been added successfully.

  ·        If Bootrec cannot findany lack of facilities of Windows, you must remove the BCD store, and then you must re-create it. To do this, type the following commands in the order shown below: (remember to press ENTER after each command)
  bcdedit/export C:\BCD_Backup
  Ren c:\boot\bcd BCD.old
  Bootrec /rebuildbcd

  i. restart the computer.

  Also, did you put a check mark on "my server requires authentication"?

  Music software is imesh and I changed my title of the homepage with Firefox, in my internet options for Windows. Whenever I close the page, the home page changes back to the imesh search page. I deleted my computer including imesh go to windows Explorer and remove imesh all that I can find nothing will do.

  Steps to remove iMesh as your home page:

  1. In the address bar, type Subject: config and press ENTER.
  2. In the filter at the top text box, type: keyword. URL
  3. You will be presented with the entry for the keyword. URL
  4. Double-click it, delete the channel and press OK.
  5. Release of Firefox.

  I have Photoshop CS5 and other Adobe software.  Works on a Lion-iMac and Macbook Lion.  The older two of less than 1 year.

  What I'm doing:

  My group has a trailer V-nose closed and we want to have our logo image (no text) placed on the side as well as the v nose

  I want to impose the images on the trailer, so that we have an idea of how it will look. NOTE: my logo images are jpeg

  I have a image jpeg of the trailer (see below) which shows the side and the v-nose but don't know where to start so I can get the image there with the appropriate dimensions, etc.

  Is this possible?  Where should I start?  Can you point me to a tutorial video?

  I Googled it but I find answers that do not apply.

  A starting point would be to stick the logo on the tralier image. It will become a new layer. Then click on CMD - T in order to transform this layer. Drag the corner handles to match the perspective of the trailer.

  There are more advanced ways to do it with the function "grid perspective."

  If you have restarted your PC from your document that you lost and you will need to restart the analysis that you have scanned. The simplest option is to do the following:

  1. open Paint (start > all programs > Accessories > Paint)

  2. once the paint is open, click file on the top toolbar.

  3 in the drop-down list, click from scanner or camera.

  4. the application of paint now trying to connect to your printer/Scanner.

  5. once the printer/Scanner was found a dialog box appears asking you what you want to scan.

  6. Select an option, i.e., colors, shades of gray etc. and then click on the scan button.

  7. your scanner should now start to scan the document.

  8. once the scanner has finished I scans the document, the document must appear in the Paint window.
