Don't know which one to use, virtual server or ESXi
I have a couple of Windows server running on IBM e series. They do not work with heavy loads so I thought to bring together them. I used Virtual Server 1 x front on my desk and loved so I thought to use it, but now that ESXi is available I want to understand if this is a better option.
I know that ESXi will run the VM faster and uses fewer resources, but from what I read, it seems that it is not as easy to manage. Everyone notes that the console is difficult to transition to? Furthermore, what about backups? For example, if I want to make a snapshot I can run and copy off in my NAS box, but it seems that you cannot directly access the VM ESXi files. Is this correct?
Thank you
Steve
For example, if I want to make a snapshot I can run and copy off in my NAS box, but it seems that you cannot directly access the VM ESXi files. Is this correct?
A snapshot is not a good method of backup, and this isn't how it should be used. A snapshot preserves the State of a virtual machine that allows you to make changes and revert to a previous state if you need to. Should not be considered as an alternative to long-term backup. That's why you have to VCB.
ESX 3i is very easy to manage, the hardest part is not console, so you can not do operations on the host easily, but you can copy files from ESX via the data store. While ESX is more suited for very large like VM 15 guests or more, and if you are not running a very high load and not many VM VM Server will work fine. There isn't really a difference in performance between any virtualization product until you start to reach the breaking point. ESX can accommodate dozens of virtual machines on a computer, is there that ESX is really profitable (and I know that ESX 3i is free) but pound for pound can match VM Ware ESX Server 3i for small host environments, and given that it's windows it does not have a lot to manage.

Hello, by default the firefox session restore feature only allows you to save last 3 windows open. to change this, type on: config in the address bar of firefox (confirmed the message information where it appears) and search for the preference named browser.sessionstore.max_windows_undo. Double-click it and change its value to 4 (or more).

I bought a game and I need visual c ++, I don't know which of them I need
I bought a game and I need visual c ++, I don't know which of them I need because I tried to install many of them, but he repeated to me that it is not possible.
I really need your help because the game was very broad, and still I don't know whick one I need.
Thank you and sorry because my English is not so good.
Original title: microsoft visual c ++
- "I tried to install many of them, but he repeated to me that it is not possible."
You are logged on as administrator, and have you tried to disable your anti-virus or UAC temporarily when trying to install C++?
-As you have discovered, there are many versions of C++ (I have 20 on Win7 64 bit).
However, C++ error messages normally specify what version is necessary and the most recent
Games will automatically install the version of C++ required by the game.
-If the game is not to install C++ you will find that it uses on the game disc.
Just 'Open ' the drive and search for a C++ Installer (.exe) files and install C++ directly
starting from there.
-Have you installed all the 'important' Windows updates (do not install the 'optional' update
for graphics drivers)?
-Have you updated .NET Framework to version 4.5?
Download Microsoft .NET Framework 4.5 of the official Microsoft Download Center
If the game is a recent version, it may require C++ 2010 or 2010.
-You probably have these already, but just in case where -
-There are also three versions of C ++ 2012, but mine have been installed automatically. I'm not sure,
But if they were not installed by games, then maybe Windows updates install C ++ 2012?
-What games are you trying to install? Is this a diskette the retail version, steam or to download other
version (specify what 'other')?
And what graphics card your machine uses?

Computer shows 84 programs running, don't know which can be closed
I have but.dont running 84 programs know which ones to stop.also approximately 20 to start
What I suggest, gives you access to a program that can potentially harm your PC if you are not aware of what you are doing. Don't try if you are not sure that you understand.
Hold the Windows key and press R (Windows key + R)
A 'Run' dialog box should appear. It contains, type "msconfig".
a "System Configuration" window should appear.
Go to the "Startup" tab and you can uncheck programs that you no longer want to start with your PC. Note that this list only shows no essential program for Windows, but other things, such as programs to your printer or other hardware devices, can be listed and necessary. Some examples of programs to uncheck are Adobe Acrobat, Adobe Reader and Acrobat Manager, Google Talk, Google Update, Java (TM), Skype, etc.Once you have disabled the programs you don't need, you can go to the Services tab.
Note that the tab Services DO list the required programs for Windows to run properly.
You can help avoid this danger by checking the box "hide all Microsoft services".
After having done that, you can uncheck things such as Google Update, NVIDIA, Steam Client Service and much more. Also note that your Antivirus service is listed, and may also have a program listed as a so startup program. Be careful! And yet once, don't try if you are unsure about this task.

I recently did a pc and that windows 7 but I don't know which version to buy
I recently did a pc and that windows 7 but I don't know which version to buy for example oem version
The OEM of Windows 7 versions are identical to the versions commercial full license with the following exception:
-OEM versions don't offer any free direct support from Microsoft technical support Microsoft
-OEM Licenses are tied to the computer first you install and activate it on
-OEM versions allow all hardware upgrades except for an upgrade to a different model motherboard
-OEM versions does not move directly from an older Windows operating system
If you decide to go with a commercial version, you will need the license of full version. You cannot use a version upgrade on a blank partition:
Where can I still get Windows 7?
Full version-
Microsoft Windows 7 Home Premium
Full version-
Full version-
Microsoft Windows 7 Professional
If you decide to go with the OEM System Builder License:
Microsoft Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit 1-Pack for System Builders ...
Microsoft Windows 7 Professional 64-bit 1-Pack for System Builders ...
Microsoft Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit 1-Pack for System Builders - OEM

How do I know which account was used to join vCenter
Hello
I was wondering if anyone knows how you can know which account was used to join the hosts to vCenter. We try to hunt down to an older installation, but can't seem to find it anywhere?
Any help would be greatly appricated.
You have to be Root - adding a host to vcenter requires root-level privileges and I know anyway to SUDO and add the host that it should have been done as root.

I hope you can help me. I bought adobe captivate 8 online and when I click the e-mail link for download, it comes up with 7 programs, some are 64-bit and some are not, my computer is 32-bit. I don't know which of these 7 to download? All or just the 4 non 64-bit?
I tracked down the problem with the download and installation, my windows 7 was missing a file and everything worked after reinstalling windows. The first 32-bit program in their list was used. I hope this can help others.

don't know how to find out the server for my email information.
I had to reinstall Windows Vista (my computer was a mess), and now I don't know how to get information on the mail server
I don't know how to find out the server information I need
to set up my email again.
Also, my pictures 'lost' since I have done this?
Hello
Contact your ISP (Internet Service Provider); They provide your broadband / dial connection.
Ask them to:
1. your username with them
2. your password with them.
3 incoming mail POP3 server.
4. the outgoing mail SMTP server
All the settings that you need to come from them, not Microsoft; and they are usually happy to help you set up your e-mail program.
You can use this guide to set up Windows Mail, too:

A relocation normally wipes the hard clean everything, as part of the resettlement process.
Two things you can try:
1. find a windows.old folder (depends how you reinstalled Vista)
"How to restore your personal files after performing an installation of Windows Vista or Windows 7"
http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/932912
2. This program has had good results in data recovery in circumstances similar to yours.

Don't know which of my two copies of Windows 7 to use
Hi, sounds like a stupid question, but I have two copies of Windows 7, the one installed on the machine 1 and another which is installed on machine 2, who is now dead. I want to use the product key from machine 2 (these are these two retail licenses) on my new machine 3, but I don't remember which of the product keys I used to machine 2. I'm worried if I'll take a guess and be wrong, it will disable the machine 1. Any suggestions on the best way to go about this? Thank you!
Compare key - license in use
Click Start, type: cmd
Right-click on CMD
Click on run as administrator
At the command prompt, type the following command:
slmgr - dli
Press enter on your keyboard
This will reveal the key to partial product that give a clue. Compare it with the keys that you have and it will confirm which copy is in use.

don't know which hard drive to buy.
I need to buy a new hard drive for my HP pavilion G62 series laptop! I know it must be a SATA 2.5 but I'm not sure one to buy! CAB someone suggest a HDD to get and which is compatible with my computer? Thanks in advance
Tiffany
Hey, Tiffany:
You can buy any disk SATA II 2.5 "laptop hard for your laptop should not exceed 750 GB.
You have two other options... a drive of 7 200 rpm or a disk of 5 400 rpm.
Choose a drive of 7 200 rpm for optimum performance.
Choose a disk of 5 400 rpm for longer battery life between charges.
You didn't say what size drive came with your PC, so I don't know what you are looking to buy the size.
Here are these two models for your comment...
7 200 RPM, 320 GB

5 400 RPM, 500 GB
