Don't like Windows Live Mail.

Excuse my mug shot, but what happens with M/S?  I mean Outlook Express worked fine for me but progress dictates changing to Windows Mail that came with Vista.  AND now we have this thing that looks like a child's toy.  I hate Windows Live Mail.  I know that I can't have my Outlook Express in rear but where I can download a copy of Windows Mail to my computer Windows 7?  It will work with Windows 7?

Thank you

A clarification here: Windows Mail was nothing else than a newer version
Outlook Express version, with a new name.

> AND NOW we have this thing that looks like a child's toy. I hate Windows Live Mail.

Windows Live Mail is a version most recent Outlook Express, the
the most recent version.

I don't think that it's an improvement, and, although I have no * hate *.
it, I don't like it and don't use it.

> I know that I can't have my Outlook Express back but where I can download a copy of Windows Mail to my Windows 7 computer? It will work with Windows 7?

Yes, it is possible to use Windows Mail in Windows 7. But since I
have no experience with this, I'll let someone else tell you how.

And here is my opinion: Windows 7 comes with * no. * e-mail or newsgroup
program. Many people oppose this, I think it is a step
common sense, because it leaves everyone is free to choose
everything what programs he likes better. There are many choices available,
both Microsoft and third-party. Some are free, and some are
for sale. Microsoft has Windows Live Mail (which is essentially a)
a newer version of Outlook Express/Windows Mail, with yet another new
Name) available for free download and Outlook (another program
Outlook express) available for sale, either alone or in
Microsoft Office.

Some people will tell you to use Windows Live Mail; others will say
You can use Thunderbird; still others may have other recommendations.
My advice is to ignore all of these recommendations. I personally use
Microsoft Outlook for the mail and Forte Agent for groups of discussion, but you
should try several and choose what * you * love better, rather than
your decision based on what I, or someone else, like better.

I'm not either. I think it's the worst email program I've ever seen.

But there are a lot of other choices of e-mail programs, some for sale
    and some are free.

can hoe I install express look?

You can not. Outlook Express disappeared for several years. Windows
XP was the last version of Windows to include it.

You have chosen to install Windows Live Mail or is it entered
preinstalled on your computer? If your computer came with Windows 7
pre-installed and also Windows Live Mail, which is not because Windows 7
came with it, it is because your computer manufacturer delivered it
    with what he sold you.

It is an excellent replacement for Windows live mail which is free to try (up to 2 accounts) that BECAUSE of the work with the new outlook e-mail format called emclient.  There is also a paid version. You can either get here
It works with Exchange, POP, IMAP and looks like Windows live mail.  Frankly, it's the first replacement I've seen that actually works.  I spent.
They have their own support forums, a decent product and seem to be the only replacement for WLM that has the appearance of it.
You can import all your windows live mail in emclient easily by doing a file > import > windows live mail.  This will import your current data of WLM in emclient
On the side of caution I make a copy of the entire record of the WLM and save it somewhere safe.
  • Windows live mail sign problems

I can connect to my Microsoft account, as well as my gmail WHEN I get back from Google. But when I open Windows Live mail, via the 'Sign' in icon, I get "incorrect password" and to this effect, I can't sign.

What I don't understand, is that I always get it and can send messages.

    Help, please

... when I open Windows Live mail, via the icon "Connect", I get "incorrect password"

This means generally that nowadays you have activated the two-step verification to your Microsoft Account. If you did, you must generate a unique password app to use in silent messaging clients like Windows Live Mail which do not know how to ask and send security codes.

What I don't understand, is that I always get it and can send messages.

Signature in has nothing to do with reading, send or receive mail. He determines that the contacts and calendar to load and which OneDrive account to use to send pictures.

  • Can't receive mail from Hotmail account using the phone or windows live mail

    Hello

I'm having a problem where I get a sign in error whenever I try to access my Hotmail account using my smartphone or windows live mail.

I CAN however use my web browser to connect and access the account in this way.

I tried using 2 different laptops (windows 7 on both) and my android phone.

I have reset the password twice and still have no chance to access the account outside the approach of above web browser.

It seems that this problem has affected my direct mail phone and windows at the same time, and I am at a loss for a line of conduct.

    Does anyone have a solution?

    Thanks in advance

It seems that if you have activated the two-step verification when you changed your
password. If you did, you can not use this password to authenticate in stupid
programs like Windows Live Mail which cannot ask or submit to security codes. You
need to generate a unique password app to use in situations like this.

  • Why don't I do drag and drop photos in real size of more attachments in the new Windows Live Mail?

I am a real estate photographer, and one of the things I have to do on a regular basis is to send pictures to people. They need these photos as attachments. I downloaded the new Windows Live Mail and I noticed that I can't not simply 'Drag and Drop' photo attachments. Instead, Windows Live mail has resized the picture down and put a boarder around it. I went through the settings and I don't see anywhere I can click to the program, what he had ALWAYS done before, that was simple. Now to send a file, I have to click on the "Attachment" button, navigate my external drives and find the file that I send. I have hundreds of customers and too many files having to negotiate through. I prefer to be able to slide and have it set out in its full dimension, as I always did before in previous versions of WLM and Outlook Express.

I ALSO can not simply with the right button on a photo, select "send to" and then 'recipient' and attach files there either. Now, it uploads to the Skydrive. My customers don't want it. They do not want additional steps. They just want an email with attached files.

Please tell me what I'm doing wrong. I can't imagine that you got rid of those simpler features. Please don't tell me you didn't get rid of the simple ability to re size and attach pictures, did you?

  • Why don't the 'Contacts' remain locked in "categories" I put them in? I use Windows Live Mail

I use windows 7, Windows Live Mail, and I went through all worthwhile to create categories 'A', 'B' & "C." as I created each category I placed my 'Contacts' in each of them. I did until I got all Contacts "in the"category I wanted. "

When I tried to send and email to all the contacts in category A. I wrote the email, went to the TO: button and clicked on it, and all three categories, with all my jumbled autour contacts have been identified.

How can I fix this? Is it possible to lock the names in the category? This is getting ridiculous, instead of making things easier for us, Microsoft seems to do just the opposite.
